It is the mid-nineteen seventees, and Cupcake and Carrot Cake are two young ponies discovering their powers for the first time in a world that doesn't fully understand them.

Their world however, is turned upside down when they are called upon to stop a griffin bent on world domination. Banding together with a group of fellow mutants, they will form a team whose name will eventually become synonymous with the word 'hero'.

They just don't know it yet.

Yes I finally decided to write this. Figured I should at least give the backstory to the two most important mutants and one of the most important hero teams in my universe now instead of later right? Addmittedly, I'm making this more like Indiana Jones and '60s Bond films then X-Men: First Class, but don't worry, I'm not completely disregarding X-Men: First Class.

Set in the same universe as all my other Harmony's Warriors stories, but luckily, you don't need to have read those to read this one.

Unfortunately for her, so does Rainbow Dash.

Darkness from beyond the borders of reality yearns for a vessel to invade.

Sweetie Belle loses her magic and wants it back. She finds a remedy for her injured horn, but things don’t go back to normal. Sometimes, a cure can be even worse than the poison, as the filly is about to learn.

As Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie are about to make their way into the Everfree Forest for the first time, Bowser decides to mix things up in his world by swapping Mario with a different hero. Chaos erupts as both heroes try to find out what they have to do to get back home.

Angelwhiskers, city bound mare was originally just an innocent nurse, she thought she had her entire life planned until it was wrenched away from her in one nightmarish night. After being rescued by three other ponies, she is forced to obey and adapt to the new rules of life. New to killing, hiding, and scavenging, Angel and her companions must do whatever it takes to remain alive.

Out on the frontier, the only friend a pony can really trust is the gun in her hoof. Out where the land is wild and the buffalo roam, more than a few ponies have foregone scratching out a living on the farms or mines to seek riches and glory on the wrong side of the law. As a particularly mysterious and valuable cargo heads west on a long train journey, six mares follow with trouble in their wake, each intending to claim the prize for her own.

Also, a lot of ponies get shot.
