This story is a sequel to Musical Love

Vinyl Scratch is a mare that's been mute ever since she was born, but she never lets it get her down. A few months ago she proposed to her marefriend of 3 years Octavia Melody, and their wedding is coming up in a few days.

Vinyl wants to make sure that the wedding is perfect, but her condition means that she can't speak at the wedding. What will she do to solve this?

Every year on Hearts and Hooves Day since they started dating, Vinyl Scratch would always do something to surprise Octavia. This year though Vinyl is too busy with her shows to do anything, so Octavia decides to surprise her this time.

Octavia has had enough. Enough of the selfishness, enough of the hurt, and...maybe enough of Vinyl Scratch. After telling her she was going to miss her concert, again, the earth pony calls their friendship off. Now, it's up to DJ Pon3 to let her best friend go or fight tooth and hoof for their friendship. But with everything getting in her way, will she be able to make it? Or is one of them going to need a new place to call home?

Octavia has always been an oddity among her fellow musicians. Whether it is because she lives in Ponyville as opposed to Canterlot or prefers to find inspiration in her own way, fitting in with the band hasn't been exactly simple, and feeling isolated has started taking its toll on her.

However, when Octavia visits a local pub after practicing with the band, she spots Vinyl Scratch waiting for her there, almost as if she knew Octavia would show up. Vinyl has an idea of what has been bothering Octavia lately and wants to have a chat with her.

A Friendly Warning: This story contains a rule 63 or gender-swap of a Octavia and Vinyl Scratch which means that this story is a m/m romance. So if you don't like this kind of shipping as it's being presented nor the ideal pairing of the characters, you know where the exit button is.

During their high school days in Canterlot, Octave Melody had feelings for his best friend Record Scratch, but he was afraid of admitting his feelings to him. One day, his younger sister, Opal, finds out and tells her parents about it. Later on, Octave is called down for his parents to give him a big surprise.
