The Grand Galloping Gala: Equestria’s biggest party of the year, where the guests are able to mingle with the elite of the nation, where a regular citizen could bump into a high ranking member of society and strike up a conversation without either party feeling out of place. This grand image is what most ponies think about whenever the Gala comes around. However, the regular everyday ponies who do get invited know a bit better.
