Princess Luna, only recently recovered from the events of "Friendship is Magic: Part Two," is struggling to adjust to life in present day Equestria. And Captain Bucephalus, Commander of the Lunar Guard, is having a little trouble adjusting to having a Princess to look after.

This was my submission to Equestria Daily's "Happy Luna" competition. After "Luna Eclipsed," it no longer conforms to the series' canon, but I'm fond of it anyway.

In a freak accident from the Cloudsdale weather control team, Twilight is struck down by an errant lightning bolt. But the veil of death is relatively thin...

Twilight's years at Celestia's school were far from ordinary. Here are the challenging trials, dangerous spells, and important lessons that made her the mare we know today.

It could have been just another night. Instead, Vinyl Scratch leaves a show to find herself suddenly presented with a chance to make a difference in the life of a filly no one else will look twice at. Now if only she can convince Octavia she's not making a huge mistake...as usual.

The residents of the town gathered en masse to witness the spectacle. As was the tradition for such an occasion, many ponies made a wish on the celestial body, hoping that maybe, just maybe, some of them might come true...

War is war. There is no in-between. In the midst of chaos and death, sometimes incredible stories surface in the military community. And sometimes, the story becomes the reality.

Corporal Ben Wolfe of the 13th Army Expeditionary Unit shouldn't be alive, but he is. He's alive because of his daughter. He's alive because of Rainbow Dash. He's alive because of the pony in his pocket.

But a plastic toy won't save you forever. A plastic pony can't go back to your family to tell them your fate. Who, then, will be with Wolfe when the end comes?

In an alternate reality, Discord found his love of chaos came in handy for babysitting young foals. For two thousand years, since he and the princess' were kids, he's babysat nearly everyone in Equestria. Now he's babysitting the cutie mark crusaders, and while he does he recounts with them his many babysitting jobs of your favorite characters as fillies, one by one.

Twilight Sparkle struggles to find a meaningful gift for Princess Celestia.

Derpy Hooves, a pony who seems to be on the wrong side of everyone in town, is restless and lonely. Thanks to her... unique eyes and clumsy nature, she's never had an easy time at building friendships. She begins to wonder if maybe its time to leave Ponyville and try again.

And that's when Blue Skies appears. A handsome pegasus who's new to Ponyville. And it goes by logic, anyone new to Ponyville will know little to nothing of Derpy's damaging reputation. Is this the chance for a fresh start she's been waiting for? It could be.

But can our favorite clumsy friend ever hope to catch his eye? Or will someone else get to him first?

Also, if you're a stickler for maintaining character, you might not like this. I mean I hope you will! But you might not. I didn't portray Derpy exactly as hasbro did, but rather as I like to think of her. Even so, she remains pretty much the same. I might even dare to call it cannon. You can be the judge of that!
