Celestia and Luna are all too familiar with the concept. It's a concept that has molded them, strengthened them... and in a few tragic cases, betrayed them.

When they are willing to give up everything to save those they hold most dear, what might be left could be just the thing that winds up destroying the sisters in the end.

Twilight's life as she knows it harbored a sense of security, but all that changes when Princess Celestia then arrives to deliver a message. To reveal the truth about Twilight's world that the mare's conscious mind has long since forgotten.

As her memories return, she is forced to come to terms with the fact that she was never Twilight Sparkle at all, but rather a structured thought experiment whose knowledge expanded through lives she herself requested to live in order to harbor a greater understanding of existence.

But sometimes there's one life among many that's the hardest to let go of...

Strange nightmares are plaguing the ponies of Equestria.

Somepony must help ponies to face their deepest fears, but unless Princess Luna is able to discover who—or what—is responsible, the nightmares may never end.

Scootaloo is ready to prove that she can be as fearless as her big sister, Rainbow Dash, even if it means never having a peaceful night's sleep again.

It has been foretold that the Dragon Chains would return and rage a devastating war that would destroy Equestria and the rest of the world. Centuries have past and the threat has been seen as no more than an old mare's tale. What everypony doesn't know it that the old tale is true. Oh so very true.

Set after the Canterlot Wedding.

Twilight Sparkle, element of magic and beloved student of Princess Celestia, has never truly felt pain. She's never been seriously injured, never seen her love stolen by another, and never lost the ones she loves. When someone dear to her is taken, she has nopony to turn to but Fluttershy, who has been dealing with some internal battles of her own.
