But as soon as Sunset leaves, her friends at CHS realize the depth of their mistake. Not just in accusing Sunset, but also in forgetting Sunset is not like any other human. As they try with all their might to earn back their friend's trust, they quickly come to learn that they know very little about Sunset and the world she hails from.

And worse for the girls, as Sunset begins to pick up the shards of her old life in Equestria, she begins to wonder whether she really wants to stay at CHS at all.

If there was one thing that Rainbow Dash knew, it was that everyone loved High Princess Luna. And that, by Proxy, everyone loved her daughter, Princess Twilight, as well.

Too bad she loves said young Princess in a completely different way.

Three blank-flanks keep inviting her to spend time with them for some reason, and her best friend Diamond Tiara… betrayed her in worst way possible.

Something is clearly wrong.

After having her first relationship end on a sour note, a dejected and emotionally confused Twilight returns to Ponyville. Rainbow Dash soon realizes something is wrong and comforts Twilight. Helping deal with Twilight's problems, Rainbow becomes a shoulder to cry on, a Guardian Angel of sorts. As Twilight recovers, the two mares find themselves learning more about themselves and each other.

This time, however, she was not so lucky. Before she knew it she'd been whisked off the Camp Everfree for four weeks as a counselor. With no interest in the so-called great outdoors, four other counselors who insist on being her friends, and one who wants a little something more, she may just be in for the summer of a lifetime.

Luna knew that this would be the only way for Sunset to truly forgive herself and face her darkness head on, but will this be enough to truly help Sunset or will she tremble to the darkness within her.

The Dazzlings lost their powers and were thoroughly embarrassed by Sunset Shimmer, Princess Twilight, and company.

For Sonata, it didn't get much better. Fed up with her inherent ignorance, Adagio takes her frustrations out on Sonata, and kicks her out of the group. With nowhere to go, she winds up wandering the streets. Luckily for her, she wandered into the right place at the right time.

She'll be borrowing someone's kindness for a while.

Author's Note: Originally, I planned to entirely change this. But I realized this provides me with a beautiful opportunity. A chance to explore a world of what-ifs. Sonata being saved by Vinyl after the Battle of the Bands could change the entire timeline from here on out. Let's go.
