A unicorn looks down upon an ant and thinks about his doom. What is a spark of light in a form so tiny and lowly? Its growth is but insignificant to his own, so why watch it? Why not just walk on down his own path to survival?

Trust is a funny thing. For Fluttershy it is rarely given, if ever at all, though there are some things she simply cannot bear to admit beyond herself. But then, Discord has never asked anypony's permission to take what he wants, has he? Even if it's a secret. So he watches as she copes with her addiction with increasingly brutality even towards those she once so fervently fought for, and waits for just the right moment to expose her.

But not because he wants to, mind you.

Fluttershy hears it. She hears it all the time.

Ponies always talk about Discord--they whisper about him, even when she and her friend are around them. Ugly, they say. They find him ugly! They think he's a beast!

It makes Fluttershy's heart ache. She's afraid their words are hurting Discord--that he may think he's ugly too, because of what they say.

So when she holds an event for pets in need of adoption, and the gossip starts again, can Fluttershy stand up for him?

And what in the world does Discord mean by "You'll figure it out"?!?

The books lay open, scattered. The room is a mess but for a wide circle, drawn in runes and fine dusts. This is where she stands, channeling magic into the spell.

She has privacy, for none would dare intrude on a princess, but for a moment she wants so dearly for somepony to do just that. Find her and stop her, and tell her a better way.

Then it is too late, and the spell is complete.

Twilight Sparkle, now a princess of dusk and dawn. She has been loyal princess for five years, and princesses Celestia and Luna have agreed that it's time for her to learn about the dark history of their world. What will they show her? What about Discord, will he know anything about it?

Nine years since she discovered the truth about her dark ancestry. A lot has changed in her life since that fateful day. She found friendship in Ponyville, helped save the world from a dark curse, and claimed her title as head of House Sombra, and Princess in pretense of the Crystal Empire.

Now, Raspberry Beryl finds herself returning to her hometown along with Princess Twilight Sparkle to make peace with her past. But something is wrong in Lonesome Dove. Strange events begin to unfold, ponies start disappearing without a trace, and Raspberry is suspect number one. To prove her innocence, Raspberry must get to the bottom of the dark events while facing the shadows of her past.
