Well I just bought volume 1 (amazon) for my sibling's birthday. It holds issue #1-4. It will probably be a while before we get an omnibus. Now issue #5-8 has origins on Nightmare and might be cool reference material for your story. That story arc is not over yet though. One of the main 6 becomes  Nightmare______.

Actually, I haven't.  For starters, I've been hoping for them to hit a digital omnibus form, and to date my understanding is that they haven't.  Also, based on her work on Gronk, I'm not sure Katie Cook and I are working on the same mental wavelength (though I understand she's done a lot of stuff in the comics that wouldn't fly otherwise if it wasn't approved already).

So I was wondering have you read the mlp comics from IDW? Not sure if anything they have you can use.

The next couple of chapters are already done; I'm just holding onto them as they contain elements that might be a little too visceral given this past week's events.  But they'll be coming in due time.

I just finished plowing through the first eight chapters of AAG and I am thoroughly thrilled.  I can't wait for the rest of the rewrite.
