Ever since she was a young filly Octavia had everything planned for her by her parents. What schools she would go to, what instrument she would play, what career she would have after school. Everything went according to plan. That was until Octavia moved away to Ponyville. However, Octavia's parents have one more plan and that is to marry off Octavia. Octavia will not be a part of that plan and with the help of Vinyl Scratch and a few other friends they create a plan to stop the arranged marriage and free Octavia from her parent's hold.

Hearth's Warming Eve has arrived at Sweet Apple Acres with the usual flurry of snow, mirth, and frenzied preparations, but all seems to be well as Big Macintosh settles down for the night. The house has been cleaned—ready to be buried under a mound of colourful scraps and sweet crumbs—the farm is enjoying one of its brief periods of rest, and the most precious things in his life are snugly tucked up in bed, ready for a day of hard-earned merriment to come. All is well.

And then Dash says two words.

When Sunset receives a particularly lascivious text message from Twilight, she's really not sure how to handle it. Opposites don’t attract. There is no way a forthright, friendly girl like Applejack and a sarcastic backbiter like Adagio would ever fall for each other.

And yet, here we are.

Rarity is suffering from creative burnout, and Rainbow Dash decides to help by dragging her to a concert of her favorite band, Villian Court, led by one Twilight Sparkle. Things quickly spiral out of control in ways Rainbow couldn't have anticipated (but doesn't mind).

Have some Anthro RariTwi AU, because Earthsong apparently decided that I was not busy enough with my existing fics and tossed what she called the "Reverse Rockstar AU" (basically a role-flip of her Rockstar AU, where Rarity is a rockstar and then meets Twilight) onto my Tumblr dashboard. And I took one look at the picture and started to write.
Since then, we exchanged WIPs and ideas, and by now, her AU (now called the "Rock'n'Royal AU") and this fic are very similar, but also slightly different as we both worked on angles in different ways. It's been a wild ride so far, and I loved every minute of it!

When passions flare and new relationships begin at the Grand Galloping Gala, it can be difficult to sort things out through the warmth and glow of young, budding love. Princess Twilight Sparkle and Captain Spitfire know full well such things are supposed to have a certain progression, but they're not going to let that stop them from enjoying each other's company as much as they can.
