Spike has been Twilight's loyal Friendship Ambassador for many years, sorting problems and building bridges with other nations.

Sadly, the customs of his ancestral home remain a mystery to him. On a diplomatic visit to the Dragon Lands, Dragon Lord Ember decides to enroll Spike in a ceremony that all young dragons must pass, the communion with the deity of the dragons.

Yet, in this unfamiliar realm, a world of dragons he knows so little about, Spike is forced to grapple with profound questions of identity-who he truly is, what he aspires to become, and whether he can ever embody the essence of what it is to be a dragon.

Spike goes to the bar at night, every night, to drink by himself. Rainbow Dash sits in the stool next to him. In each passing moment, the gap between them becomes smaller and smaller.

Until there is nothing separating them.

This story is inspired by the song St. Eriksplan by Low Roar. It was also written in a sleepy daze.

Isn't the man suppose to be the bread winner? Isn't the wife supposed to be the house maker?

Spike and Rainbow Dash have always been a little different.

They've come to an agreement; he'll wear the apron, she'll wear the work suit. He'll keep the house nice and clean, she'll make sure they can pay the mortgage.

She'll go on the long business trips, he'll wait patiently for her return.

Twilight Sparkle keeps using a specific phrase out in public to describe her 'special relationship' with her friends. Said friends are convinced it does not mean what Twilight thinks it means.

Spike lives in a giant castle with the company of not one, but two mares. So everything's just peachy, right? You know… ignoring how unhinged his castlemates can be in conjunction with how much magical power they happen to have… and sometimes abuse.

Having read the previous story is not strictly necessary to enjoy this one, though it will help in regards to the second section.

It’s not easy being the only dragon in a town full of fickle, forgetful ponies.

Spike’s day is not off to a good start. Twilight is in micromanagement mode and it seems every pony is at least a little crazier than usual today. He’ll try to push through like always, but the population of Ponyville isn't going to make it easy for him.

Gore tag for a possibly cringe worthy pie eating competition.

Spike now harnesses the bloodstone scepter making him the ruler of all dragon kind. Of course he hands it off as part of an important lesson on friendship, right? Naw. He immediately goes mad with power.

A crisis with a strange creature pulls the Mane Six and Spike out to the edges of the Hollow Shades Forest by Fillydelphia. What they expected to find was a baddie needing a beat down, not an ancient with knowledge of Spike's heritage.

Against their wishes, Spike runs away with the Nature dragon to a realm far from the reaches of civilization.

At the very ripe age of nineteen Spike is still dealing with his dravyern blood. It made him strong, durable, he even has cool fire breathe and wings. The thing that sucked? He was still short. Due to his blood, he'd age physically differently from all his friends and family. So he was stuck shorter then most, due to this he'd get mistaken for a young teen despite being a legal adult. He even drove a car for god's sake!

The one who seemed to forget this the most was his sister Twilight who deemed that he'd need to be watched while home alone for the week or two she was gone. Despite his best attempts to argue he's stuck at home being watched by one of their mutual friends, Rainbow Dash.

She doesn't seem to mind just chilling for a few weeks, she was getting paid after all. But Spike is fed up with the way he's treated. He's at the end of his fuse when Rainbow Dash expertly starts a flashfire that ends unexpectedly.

Part of the Dravyern Verse that I will slowly build into multiple stories. No two Dravyern Verse stories line up with each other and there will be many differences between them. Constant things: there is magic but life is based heavily on modern-day, people humans with the subspecies being Soulsage[people born with magic], Skyborn[people born with retractable wings, Terrans[strong humans with tougher than average bodies, Alicians[people born with the traits of all three]. Other races represent Griffins[Griffman], Dragons[Dravyerns] and such as well.

Spike is sacrificing every second he can to sleeping—not because he is lazy, but so he may be with his love: Princess Luna. Unable to expose their affection to the world, they hide it within a dreamscape. But they crave more. Will the dream end?
