Twilight has finally achieved her lifelong goal of having her article published in the local newspaper. It's been a long time coming, but now that she's done it, she's so excited that she runs around town shoving her achievement in everyone's face. It doesn't take long before Twilight discovers that no one cares if you get published in the local newspaper. After all, it's just the local paper.

The Everfree forest is just like any other forest—except it's full of monsters and weird magic junk, but ignoring that—it sometimes grows out of control and needs to be trimmed a bit. In order to keep the forest from growing too large, Celestia asks Twilight to start a controlled forest fire to burn a portion of it down. It seems like a simple request, but a series of mishaps and misunderstandings lead to some miscommunication and, subsequently, to Twilight setting fire to all of Equestria.
After years of gathering magical artifacts and assorted doohickeys, Trixie feels it's finally time to open up her own shop. The only problem is that she's located right across the street from The Golden Oaks Library, much to the annoyance of Ponyville's resident librarian-turned-princess. Luckily none of the stuff Trixie is selling is cursed, or so she's telling ponies.
Starlight Glimmer goes to the market to buy things and make new friends.

With Twilight Sparkle as the newly crowned Princess of Friendship, she and her friends are to spread friendship to all of Equestria. She has new duties to perform, not to mention a new throne room begging for meetings to be held. So it is Twilight calls to order the Council of Friendship, where she shall instruct her friends on running an effective government and discuss with them matters pertaining to their rule.
In hindsight, she really should have realized what she was getting herself into.
Note - This fic is meant to be a series of random misadventures as the cast plays at politics and gets into assorted hi-jinks. More chapters may or may not come depending on when and if I have ideas to write them.
