A three arced story that begins slowly as partially Comedy and Slice of life and rotates more towards Adventure and Dark in later chapters.

Some school fillies have to deal with school crushes. Others with bullies. Sometimes they have to deal with both. But no filly has ever had to deal with an Evil Tyrant being bound to their shadow and have the power to control their every action. This, of course, seems to be no big deal for Sweetie Belle who seems to even enjoy the stallion's company. Though the feelings aren't mutual. The small filly reminds the old king too much of a filly he used to know... Though it's strange the only place he'd seen her before are in these strange dreams of his. Recollections of a past he can't remember.

Perhaps Sweetie Belle will awake in him that version of himself before he was a Tyrant. Before he was labeled evil. A time from when he was a father. Perhaps she will help him forgive.

When Sweetie Belle invites Button Mash over to her family’s house for dinner to meet her parents for the first time, Hondo sees it as an opportunity to pal around with the son he never had. Can Button score a touchdown and win over his girlfriend’s father? Or will Hondo’s overbearing nature discourage Button from courting Sweetie Belle further? Button's life so far can be summed up as 'Eat. Sleep. Game.' This begins to change when the new school year starts.

My name is Button Mash and I like video games. I have this bad habit of playing before doing "important" stuff like homework and sleeping. One time I even took it so far as to not sleep at all the night before school started. Can you really blame me though? I was so excited I couldn't sleep.

Twilight Sparkle assigned Sweetie Belle to practice her teleportation magic for the next Twilight Time while she was away at Canterlot at a royal gathering. During that same day, Sweetie Belle practiced that magic on herself... only to be reduced to a mere inch tall! The worst part is, everything and everypony became giants to her!!

Now she must trek through dangerous territory to Canterlot in hopes of grabbing the attention of Twilight Sparkle so she could restore her back to normal size. That would be cake for Sweetie Belle, if those obstacles didn’t include getting crushed or eaten alive by everypony!!
