Have you ever wondered how pony names somehow always accurately relate to the identity of the pony in question? Well, that's all thanks to the efforts of one stallion. And he hates his job.

Name Rater has always had a very unique skill: the ability to gauge the talents of others at a glance. And once this became known, everypony began to depend on his guidance, much to his chagrin. This is his story, a tale of great self-sacrifice and even greater grumpiness.

And no, this has nothing to do with Pokémon, the name is just fitting.

After defeating the like of Nightmare Moon, Discord, King Sombra, and having helped save Canterlot from the Changelings, there isn't much Twilight and her friends could not handle. But only after an old enemy returns do Twilight and her friends realize what true nightmares are made of.

There's a bakery in Canterlot. Benny Bakery. Nopony knows what a 'Benny' is, but they all agree that this place has some of the best delicacies Equestria has to offer. Twilight Sparkle doesn't appreciate Sunset's reluctance to talk about the past. She's been studying the strange activities surrounding Shimmer since they were teenagers, and has only found further questions. But a murder with ties to Equestria gives Twilight the chance to learn the truth about magic. To stop a terrible enemy from rising again, they must both journey through the mirror. Enlightenment is at Twilight's fingertips.

She doesn't quite know what to think when she meets Princess Twilight Sparkle.

After everything that happened the last few months, Twilight has enjoyed some much deserved peace and quiet. But when Scootaloo disappears without a trace, the newest Equestrian Princess suddenly finds herself forced to lead the hunt for the missing filly. Aided only by Spike (and hindered by everyone else), Twilight must travel the globe and discover just where Scootaloo is.

Of course, that's easier said than done. Every pony seems to have an idea about what happened to Scootaloo and are ready to share their theories... whether Twilight and Spike want to hear them or not!

The Princess does her best to keep it under wraps, but its only a matter of time before it's "creativity" will get out of control.

Twilight's life definitely took a strange turn when she died. Of course, this won't stop her from living it to the fullest, whatever that entails.
Equestria will never be the same.

After the first, chapters will alternate between serious ( - ) and silly ( ~ ), because I didn't want the story to be limited to just one. Most will be standalone, and in no kind of chronological order; expect little correlation between chapters and occasional verb tense changes from one to the next.

This story should be considered in perpetual hiatus, as it will rarely be the focus of my attention. Do not expect regular updates.
