Smolder's a dragon from the Dragon Lands, where might makes right and power is respected. Her guilty pleasure is totally innocent, and that's kind of the problem. Even with Ocellus and Gallus knowing her secret, she still feels insecure about opening up. She's afraid to be vulnerable. Everything changes, however, when she has a chance encounter with her favorite professor and cheer leading coach.

Starlight Glimmer is many things. Master of the arcane arts, Headmare of the School of Friendship, Savior of Equestria, and a truly fantastic friend to those she holds dear. Apparently, according to Trixie and Sunburst, she's also an awesome marefriend. There is, of course, one big problem with that theory: How can you be an awesome marefriend if you don't even know you're dating your best friends in the first place? Starlight may or may not need to add "Romantically Inept Doofus" to her list of titles.

(Takes place within the same universe as A Tale of Two Lovebirds, The Griffon Who Came to Mount Aris and Long Live The Queen. Familiarity with those works is encouraged but not required.)

Gallus' life is suddenly and abruptly altered one day when he receives a visit from Gilda and Gabby. They bring with them tragic news: Grandpa Gruff has died, Gallus is now orphaned once again.

Shocked to learn that the closest thing he had to a father figure could die without even telling him, Gallus struggles to process his complicated emotions as he prepares to leave for Grandpa Gruff's funeral in Griffonstone.

Silverstream, for her part, is determined to make sure that Gallus won't go through the heartbreak alone. Even if she doesn't have the experience of losing someone close to her, she wants to be there for her boyfriend.

After hearing so much fun that her cousin Silverstream has been having at the School of Friendship, Princess Skystar wants to join her there, feeling like her mother Queen Novo doesn’t have time for her anymore. Unfortunately, Novo is less than willing, remembering what happened when Twilight tried to steal the Pearl of Transformation, and wanting her daughter to stay and become a princess.

With applications due in a week, will Skystar be able to convince her mother to let her go to the School and break down the emotional barriers that inhibit them both? Will Queen Novo finally be able to put the past behind her and accept her daughter’s wishes? It’s complicated….

Sky Beak is an athletic outdoorsman seeking to make money out of being a tour guide.

Ocean Flow is the sister to her country's queen, now out on the field and doing work for the Tourism Board.

The married couple meet once more in the small coastal town of Basalt Shores in the wake of magic gone wrong, the whole world having become strange fantasy creatures. With Ocean stuck at the beach and the sea, and with Sky doing double duty by helping the village's population adapt to their new forms, they end up having to work together.

And worst of all, to live with each other.

This both takes place in the universe of Magical Curiosity and supersedes all other stories in said universe. If there is any conflicting information between this story and other entries, this story takes priority.

Cloudy Quartz is a young mare trying to live out her destiny even if it opposes her parents' expectations. They are two very different ponies living under very different circumstances. But at least they both like rocks.

The Kingdom of Hippogriffia, united under the royal line of Novo, was long the shining beacon of prosperity and progress. It was a land that lived in harmony with itself, where troubles were something that happened far away and abroad, but not there. A land where its monarchs ruled absolute - firm but fair, with many wise Kings and Queens coming to pass.

But those were days that now seemed long passed. The Storm King's invasion had forced upon Queen Novo a cowardly retreat, one that would forever embarass her as the sovereign of her subjects. It was a time where she, meant to be the bravest, wisest, most capable among both races, seemed the most undecided and incapable. It was the start of something greater. A time where the cracks began to show.

Now, years later, that story has only continued, running its predictable course. Hippogriffs and seaponies alike are fed up with a Queen who was a coward. A Queen that was incapable in times of true distress, but always active and resolute on matters that seemed artificial. They were tired and angry at a Queen that did nothing to adopt to a changing world.

And now, they were banging at the gates. Now, they would force the issue. Whether it be them or the Queen - something or someone had to give way.

Long live the Queen.
