Starlight glimmer gets mad at Twilight once she realizes she's used mental magic more than once. Karma really does stink doesn't it?

The Princesses of Equestria's "forgiveness and redemption with little repercussions" friendship policy for several major villains has worked pretty well so far for the good of Equestria. However in Princess Twilight Sparkle's case, what happens when it suddenly... doesn't?

It's a long road from being an angsty teenager to founding a cult, travelling through time, and nearly destroying the world in the process. When Starlight goes to college in Canterlot trying to find her old friend, she instead finds herself questioning a major pillar of Equestrian culture.

These things always start with the best intentions, don't they?

Starlight Glimmer decides to dress up as a ghost for Nightmare Night. To do that, she'll need to use a spell to make herself semi-transparent. Raindrops is going for a flight in the night when she gets a wing cramp and crashes into Starlight. Oh boy.

Starlight Glimmer loves rules and laws of all kinds. That would be the first thing anypony would tell you about her. It's almost the only thing she loves more then her marefriend Lightning Dust or equality for ponies. So of course when King Sombra returns and the only thing standing in his way is Starlight, and Lightning, Starlight will defeat him the only way she knows how. That is, with the power of bueracracy!

Thanks to a shocking spell, six of Starlight's main personalities come to life.

Once things get out of hand, two ponies and a dragon work together to merge these personalities together and bring the real Starlight back. It's not as easy as it sounds.

Starlight spends a lonely night in her office, thinking about her life and its purpose.

The results aren't pretty.

Starlight Glimmer has learned many lessons over the course of her time as Princess Twilight Sparkle's student. The values and meaning of friendship, not to enslave a town and steal their cutie marks, and how to turn the shower on in the castle.

However, her greatest lesson has yet to be learned. And it shall come to her when she goes on a journey to purchase a can of soup.
