Let's boogie, let's dance! Some bad cats are out and about causing trouble in San Marecisco and the two grooviest ponies on the block are on the case! Due to a mix-up with the party planning committee Pinkie Pie and Rarity are stuck in Bay City. Someone's flooding the streets with counterfeit confetti and the local party scene is in complete chaos. Before the odd pair of ponies know what hit them, they're thrust in the middle of a funky tornado of crooked party favor suppliers, glittering dance floors, a gang of jive-talking pussycats, and a pile of bogus confetti.

Trixie and Fluttershy find themselves back in cavepony times and have to rescue Maud! Don't ask how they got there.

Many relics of the past had been found, with scholars having worked day and night in order to find out something about the history of Equestria. But not many have tried to search for answers in more distant lands. And yet there are some explorers that like to find out more about the world of Equus in general, be it in the coldest tundra or the hottest desert.

Equestria has changed as much as it has stayed the same. The ponies, while having adopted a new dialect, were as recognizable to Starswirl as they'd ever been. However, the world had spawned new traditions, inventions, foods, more creativity than he could imagine.

Apparently, to this chagrin, a mare was going to show him all of this and a little bit of everything else.

He hadn't intended on continuing to write anymore letters than were needed, really all he wanted to do was read his books.

In the end, he supposed that's what drew them both to keep writing back and forth. Eventually it became a habit, and it became about more than just books, before either of them knew it, they were friends, however far apart they may be.

If he had known the radical changes those letters would eventually bring to his life, he couldn't say he would have done anything different. He was always desperate to see what else was out there, to see the stories in person.

He just hadn't expected it all to stem from the small pony he had befriended through a school assignment.
