Years before the events of that fateful Summer Sun Celebration, Ponyville was known for a train that appeared once a year and disappeared into the Everfree Forest. Many ponies say that it never existed, but when Spike see's the train Celestia asks for Twilight and her friends to investigate.

This was written by a good friend of mine, Call-Me-Jack on Deviantart. He told me I could post this after I bugged the living crap out of him, telling him it was excellent in every way.

A royal service can be many things. Weather it be of military origin, or just a lowly farmer growing apples. The rising industrial might of Equestria needed to be shown off. The country's beside needed to know that the ponies were nipping at their heels, and they were closing in fast. Smoke Stack was told to make the most influential run of his entire life... will he and his firepony be able to do it? Will they be able to break 100 miles per hour?

Please note the cover art is something I found off google images. Represented is the MR's Hiawatha Hudson, which is what the locomotive in this story is based on.

Harvest Moon was a new-hire for the Everfree and Northwestern mining company. He was to be the new keeper of the switchpony's shack on the odd months. However, his new position might just be a little more the meets the eye.

Button Mash hoped to catch up on his gaming, but game time was interrupted by a filly's cry. Curious, he went to see who the crying filly was. He was surprised to see that it was his fellow classmate, Sweetie Belle. In hopes to help her feel better, he presented her with a flower.

The CMC go to witness a very significant moment in British-no, world history. What they witness with stay with them to the end of their lives.

One day, Celestia had woken up as a spider. A rather curious event, but one the Princess had approached with a surprisingly calm attitude. She'd decided to take no further action than that of informing her subjects of the fact that she'd changed, and to simply continue her life.

In a rather unfortunate turn of events, the Changeling Queen herself, seeing as she was not considered to be one of Equestria's citizens, had not been informed of the occurrence. This led to a rather awkward situation when she met Celestia for the first time after the transformation. Celestia found that encounter to be quite entertaining. Chrysalis didn't.
