After the events of Rainbow Rocks, Sonata Dusk and her two companions are cooling their heels at a new school. At lunch one day, a young man is bold enough to ask her out. An ordinary teenage girl and an ordinary teenage boy. As their relationship grows, he learns some of her secrets, and has to come to grips with them.

Sunset tries taking a bunch of different electives to find one that suits her the best. Will she find one? Or will she crack under the pressure of dealing with crazy wacko teachers?

Sonata stumbles upon a little video while browsing the internet. What follows requires an incredible amount of scrubbing and therapy to repair for all parties involved.

When you try and use dark magic to take over Canterlot High, it never ends well.
The Dazzlings lost their powers and were thoroughly embarrassed by Sunset Shimmer, Princess Twilight, and company.

For Sonata, it didn't get much better. Fed up with her inherent ignorance, Adagio takes her frustrations out on Sonata, and kicks her out of the group. With nowhere to go, she winds up wandering the streets. Luckily for her, she wandered into the right place at the right time.

She'll be borrowing someone's kindness for a while.

Will Sonata be able to atone for her mistakes?
Will she be able to make friends?

Author's Note: Originally, I planned to entirely change this. But I realized this provides me with a beautiful opportunity. A chance to explore a world of what-ifs. Sonata being saved by Vinyl after the Battle of the Bands could change the entire timeline from here on out. Let's go.

Due to slightly contrived circumstances, Maud Pie becomes Equestria's fifth, newest (*cough* best *cough*) alicorn princess. Inducted, she will face the most dangerous, diabolical threat anypony has ever devised:

This goes out to Bookish Delight, who requested I expand on the second chapter of my Halloween anthology.

Having been defeated by the Rainbooms, losing their dark powers, and even their ability to sing, the Dazzlings are all but happy with how Adagio's plan went. But, as they did when defeated before, they will brush themselves off and keep moving forward.. Now they have to continue living in this world, without their powers this time. As they go on, however, they will start to notice some changes amongst themselves, and realize just how this tragedy affected each of them.

Sonata Dusk decides to spend a day at school, but she's confused about where to go or what to do. Luckily, Sunset Shimmer is such a good student and offers to show her around.

Caught in the excitement of the moment, Twilight has agreed to marry Flash Sentry.

She wishes she didn't.

Discord has always admired Fluttershy in a way that would be viewed odd, and with his latest history of coldly betraying her, he had to step up his game. Even if he hadn't deceived her the way he did, Discord still would be forced to admit it some time--otherwise someone else might take her for themselves.
