When Sandbar kissed Gallus, the griffon had no idea how to respond in any way other than running and avoiding his friends so as to not have to deal with his confusing feelings. He's been skipping meals, friendship events, and even sleeping in his room, all to avoid his roommate. However, Gallus finds that he can't hide and run forever, particularly considering that it's a small school and all his friends just want him to be happy. Including, and maybe especially, Sandbar.

Following a horrendous Guardian/Teacher conference between Grampa Gruff and (The Great and Powerful) Student Counselor Trixie, Gallus wonders what to do next, and where he truly belongs in Equestria. If he belongs there anyway.

Which is made more difficult when trying to be gay covertly with his boyfriend.

Follows Season 9, Episode 20: A Horse Shoe-In.

I didn't mean to base my story on it, but it ended up being perfect for me anyway.

After Twilight Sparkle reopens her School of Friendship she decides, as an act of diplomacy, to hold another Friends and Family Day to prove her school is different this time. Almost everyone agrees that this is was a good call and has a good time, but one earth pony refuses to and it's up to his griffon friend to try and change that.

This is a Season 8 story, based on only the first two episodes. Which means I'll probably have to mark this under Alternate Universe eventually.

The first exams are due at the School of Friendship and Gallus needs help with a subject.
Luckily Sandbar offers his help.
Can they work together to pass the exams? Is Sandbar able to help his friend? But how will this all work out? And how will those feelings they have for each other play into the mix?
We will see!

Settling down might be seen as a negative to some, but it's comfortable for the two of them. The Apple Family reunion approaches quickly, set to take place for the first time in Appleloosa. Mac debates the question if he's ready to introduce Caramel to his extended family, and to take their relationship to a more serious level. During this, Caramel struggles to deal with an appearance of a letter on his doorstep. It's a letter that reminded him of the roots he abandoned, but never forgot.
