It was supposed to be a peaceful night of research in the Canterlot archives for Spike. However, a drunk pony sees that it is anything but relaxing.

Will Spike wrangle her in before the castle is destroyed? How'd she end up in the castle in the first place? Will Celestia wake up and deliver the wrath of a poor night's sleep upon them? Is there anything deeper going on behind the scenes?!

The answers to all those questions may or may not be answered in the story.

Ember is invited to attend the Galloping Gala to further improve pony and dragon relations. She accepts, but she has a different goal in mind, one involving her and Spike and she's stacked the deck to make sure he will be hers!

But will things go as planned?

Once a Princess, now a Lord, Ember sends a letter to Princess Twilight to a situation that involves Spike. The letter seems serious and the dragons are already on their way. What could it entail about Ember's journey to Equestria? What does it mean for Spike?

Ember expected to get a few admirers when she became the new dragonlord. Well, more than a few.

She didn't expect that a large number of them would be ponies that she had never even met.

And she really didn't expect them to write physically impossible stories about her and Spike.

She's got a lot of misconceptions to correct. More than she ever expected.

Making friends is hard. Especially when you're trying to live up to seemingly unreachable expectations. Starlight knows this firsthoof.

Fortunately for her, Spike has a bit of wisdom to share that might just help.

Awesome Reading by Winged T. Spears

Spike's got three whole days to himself while Twilight is away at the Crystal Empire. Three whole days to be independent and free to do whatever he wants.

Or he would have, if a female dragon hadn't mistaken him for an abandoned hatchling. Now he's been snatched up and taken to her home to be "properly cared for."

Stuck in a cave with an overly-protective dragon intent on mothering him...maybe he should have just gone with Twilight.
