Life is full of challenges.

Pinkie Pie knows that, and will always try to help her friends smile no matter the circumstances. But when Pinkie's newest friend Sarah, a little girl from a strange new world, is faced with more challenges than anyone so young should ever have to handle, Pinkie begins to wonder if she really can keep the smiles coming.

I'm a spiteful old man. I've spent my entire life trying to fulfill my wish. The same thing every one of us wants.

The year is 2070. I'm the last brony alive, 82 years old. But I did it. I created the portal. And I'm jumping through. No regrets.

Having spent nearly a year in Celestia's court and by her side, the first and only human in Equestria is in rapidly deteriorating health. And despite all of her power, Celestia finds herself unable to help him.

(Written for the Most Dangerous Game contest, and in far less time than I would have liked. AU tag because for purposes of this story I'm ignoring the mirror world where Equestria Girls took place—this Equestria has no knowledge of humans in any way.)

Moulded by the harsh environment of a post-apocalyptic Moscow, Artyom was always the man to do what it took to get the job done; anything to protect the Metro and all of those that would rebuild humanity. He destroyed the Dark Ones to protect mankind and the final stand at D6 was no different. Faced between letting the Communists control the entire Metro and destroying the easiest method of sustaining thousands of people, Artyom took the route of sacrifice by killing himself and destroying D6.

So was the end of his journey ... in Moscow. Lost in a new world, Artyom is faced with surviving in a foreign environment. How can a man born in war and violence survive in a land where such are nearly alien concepts? One thing is certain, he must survive for he won't get another chance.

A Metro/FiM crossover following the ending of Metro: Last Light. If you haven't played the game than you will be in for some spoilers.

Years ago, Twilight preformed a spell to teleport a notebook to herself that she needed but had left behind at her home. The spell worked, just not as she intended. The notebook was actually a diary, and it was not hers. It was the diary of a human boy, she read the diary making foot notes as she went along until, much to her surprise, it vanished. The next day she tried it again to find that her foot notes had been responded too. Over the years the two wrote back and forth like pen palls. Their friendship grew and grew until one day the letters stopped, until today, today she receives one last letter.

This story is a sequel to Impermanence

When Discord told Fluttershy that he loved her, he meant that he loved her forever. A beautiful, if fanciful sentiment to most. To a being like Discord, it's a very real promise. For one of them, forever is a very real thing, and an impossibility for the other. But Discord is a master of the impossible. It's his gift. And his curse.

"Beyond the fact that this is excellently written, it's a crossroads where sweet meets hellish. So many stories confront Twilight outliving her friends. Few if any ask, 'But what if Fluttershy outlives them all?' And I stress all. Part of why this story hits so well is that I've seen two diametrically opposed readings of it and it manages to support both at the same time. On one hand, it's a poignant and tragic love story as Discord desperately tries to keep his love alive and she fights back with just as much force to have him accept the inevitable. On the other hand, it's showing the most toxic relationship possible as Discord forces Fluttershy to endure it all - even as she begs him to stop - because he can't deal with not having her in his life. I know my read on the story, but it's fascinating that it manages to be both a beautiful romance and a relationship horror story all at once. No matter your reading of it, it's an amazing tale and one of my absolute favorite FlutterCords." - TCC56
