Anthea is blind. Turquoise Blitz is half-dragon, half-pony. Naturally, the two are drawn to each other, though the fact that their mothers are also best friends may have played a helping hoof as well. With most of their lives spent together, either with the rest of their group of friends or on their own, it makes sense that they would fall in love. With Turquoise's quiet personality and Anthea's unfortunate condition, it makes even more sense that nothing would happen for a long time, despite practically everypony in town believing them to already be a couple.

Then, one long time later, the two decided to stay out late and go stargazing.

He could now understand the other animals perfectly, and he starts to lose his feelings for Rarity. But he does start to have feelings for somepony else.

The odds of ramming face-first into the same pony twice are high enough, but by the third time you start to question if the universe is doing this on purpose.
Twilight wrestles with how do deal with her rapidly developing crush while said crush helps her find her way around the palace of the Crystal Empire. Feelings are hard, especially when you have zero prior experience with this particular sort.

This is a Flashlight fic, but it was written less as a romance and more as a character study on how Twilight behaves when she's got a crush. Cover art is mine.
