After years of living in Ponyville and learning all about the Magic of Friendship, Twilight Sparkle feels like she's in a rut; all of her friends have begun different aspects of their lives and our favorite lavender unicorn is feeling left behind. Just as she's about to write a letter to Princess Celestia telling her that she wants to move back to Canterlot, fate throws something else at her.
Spike comes running in telling her that there's something wrong at the school, and Cheerilee needs her help. When Twilight Sparkle arrives at the school, she gets a little more than she bargained for...

Two kingdoms' rulers are always arguing. Equestria and Stabalia. They fall from their old friendship, and soon argue every time they communicate. rumors of war soon spread, and it seems likely to happen. King Noon Sun finally comes up with the solution: his daughter, Sunrise Glow will marry Princess Celestia's nephew, Blueblood. Sunrise Glow soon fears for her sanity.

Exiled from Equestria, you flee to the last place in the world left for you to go: the exalted Crystal Empire. After many months of searching for a means to support yourself, you end up both homeless and jobless in the dead of winter in the frozen north. Then, on one of the coldest and harshest days of the year, Princess Cadence finds you, alone and huddling around a small fire, and she’s more than happy to take you in.

So come, share a tender moment with the princess of the Crystal Empire.

“What would you do if you were to find a long-gone dragon?”

This question has been haunting Twilight for a few good months now. Months of renewed sadness, yet also months of restored hope. Months, after which most of us would have collapsed. But, she’s Twilight Sparkle, after all. When it comes to her friends, she is bound to find answers to any of her questions...

Several years into the future, she and Spike have gone their separate ways. But now, it is up to the princess to find her former Number One Assistant and convey a message that will, hopefully, soothe each other's regret and might bring them together again: their mutual friend, Rarity of Ponyville... is fading away.

Twilight Sparkle finds herself inside a cocoon in the throne room of Canterlot Palace along with her friends and many other ponies. She is thrust into a dream world by Chrysalis who is feeding on the feelings of love and friendship she and the others will experience in their alternate realities. In her dream, she finds Princess Celestia, who has been able to cross between dream worlds. Twilight and Celestia must now travel between dreams in order to awaken their friends and stop Chrysalis. However, some dreams are not as happy as they expected, and some secrets held in the subconscious may be better left unawoken.
