Right so, about my first story... · 9:17pm Jul 21st, 2022
Hiya, Zak here, also known as The_0b5erver, but hopefully you've figured that out. If not then... Well, I don't think I could even spare a detective participation medal, honestly.
Anyhow, onto the topic of this post:
Wow guys, just wow. The response, despite not being too numerous, has still been overwhelming. Honestly, OPCEA (Of ponies, CEOs and endless ammunition - shortened for ease of use) did a lot better than I expected it to.
I- I- I mean, pff- of course I expected it to do well and if you like it then you're objectively right and, might I add, quite poggers BUT there are two confessions I must make:
1. OPCEA is actually one of three projects I could post first, and it is also the least refined. The reason I chose to post it over the other two is the simple fact that if I posted something I considered to be my magnum opus and it was recieved badly, I'd probably have to go into exhile out of shame. Those projects are still coming, but for now I'll continue work on this.
2. OPCEA was actually never meant to be published. It started as an idea dump file, then turned into "What if Anon had a gun?", then evolved into "What if Anon had to deal with Anon that had a gun?" and then once it was time to explain why Anon would have a gun, I sat down and accidentally wrote a backstory so complex, I could probably write 3 books just using the material from it.
Now, what does that actually spell in terms of the story to come? Well, in poetic terms - I have a vision for the future, but I am completely blind to the present. In humanly understandable terms - I have a good idea of where I want to take the story come future entries (yes, I plan to make it a series. I know, ambitious stuff. Feel free to eat me alive for over-reaching), but in terms of finishing OPCEA I have multiple disconected ideas which I am yet to tie together. That's the reason the story is tagged "Random" and I'll be looking to make the story more coherent in the future, but for now I'll try to hold a mentality of a movie like Hardcore Henry, which is: Action and Cool moments above all else.
Alright, that's all for this post. I have no idea how well it actually conveys my message, but it's literally midnight for me right now and my brain isn't working well enough for writing. Actually, you know what? If you didn't understand anything of what was said here, it's totally fine. The main reason for this post is to give thanks to you lot and I think I did that at least once.
And so, with that done, Zak signing off. See ya beautiful people tomorrow.
