Geez, I never know what to write in these things...
Uh... Hi, my name is Aurora, and my hobbies include long cawks on the beach, parapraxes, and writing overwrought pony (clop)fics.
I just thought I'd give you a little update on what I'm working on again, although I must admit up-front that this blogpost was written with an ulterior motive. (Mwuahahaha, etc.)
Somehow, a number of people have roped me into proofreading their fics for them. I'm not quite clear on how this happened, exactly, but I believe it may have involved a wooden box, a stick, a length of rope, and a bar of the finest Belgian chocolate...
Anyway, I've quickly grown to adore these lovely little tales, even though I've also come to hate their authors with the force of a thousand suns, given how often they subject me to incorrectly placed semicolons. (Just kidding, I love you guys.)
As such, I'd like to be extremely biased and plug these stories. Please consider checking them out!
I think everyone and their mother has already read I Love To See You Smile by Steel Resolve. If you and/or your mum have been trapped in some alternate dimension where awesome fics are never released, however, you really should go and read it right frickin' now. It is delicious Raripie! Colors of the Heart by Azu features both one of the most endearing, adorable, and well-wrought Original Characters I've ever seen, as well as one of the most delightfully frustrating love-triangles. Well worth checking out if your heart is ready for the massive d'awwws, which, according to my PKE meter, on a scale from Class 1 to 10, register as at least an

Last but not least, there's Moonfall by Mist Twister. It is an elaborate, well-thought-out, and at times downright heartwrenching story about Luna and her struggle for acceptance and love, still haunted as she is by the specter of Nightmare Moon. It starts out as a very-much-expanded retelling of Luna Eclipsed, and features all of the main
sexsix—dammit, Freud!—as well as a number of hilarious and well-written OCs in supporting roles. Again, well worth checking out, IMHO, if your heart could use a good wrenching.
Now, as you may or, more likely, may not have noticed, my own writing has been in a bit of a rut of late. I have so many half-written semi-stories on the shelf right now that, really, it isn't even funny anymore—to the extent that I think it might have crossed the line twice, and actually become funny again.
The thing closest to publication right now is a humorous, (un)expected-twist-laden, erotic Rainbow Dash fic called Fanservice. The first two chapters have already been written, but they are still in dire need of proofreading. Unfortunately, pretty much the only guy capable of countering my mutant ability to introduce extremely creative errors into my writing is insanely busy at the moment, so this story remains in limbo for the time being.

While I've been waiting for that to happen, I've been working on a little one-shot I had lying around: a cute, unambitious little adult Fluttermac thing that I'm hoping to push out in the next week or so. We'll see.
After that, it's a question of either working on the next chapter of Morrow, or returning to Bechdel's Law... I was personally leaning towards the former, but then, uh, this happened, and my co-writer Steel practically demanded that we finally dedicate ourselves toward finishing Applejack's chapter full-time.
This will probably involve locking ourselves in a room with a moose, maybe, or forcing ourselves to re-watch every single scene featuring AJ on an endless loop, Clockwork Orange style, until inspiration strikes.

However, at least you won't have to worry about misplaced semicolons with me; I know how they are intended to be used.

The bandwagon is right! Moar Bechdel's Law! It's one of my top 5 stories on the whole bleeding site, though I do need to actually update the list on my profile.

You should request that he take down the picture though if it's important to you. Since the pic was commissioned by Aurora, the rights to its use belong to her.
