    CANON QUESTIONS

I call it "Cannon Questions," and in it I will weekly explore one or other element of the Friendship is Magic cannon that really intrigues me. I will be asking very small questions: the sort whose answers are purely speculation for everypony but the most creative of arguers, and closest of watchers.

To Be A Good Writer: Some Steps To Follow · 7:15am Dec 4th, 2012

If you follow these steps only you will write better than either Tolkien or Rowling; follow them only as far as they did and you will be on the very honorably par with them:

1. Write till your fingers bleed.
2. Read till your eyes bleed.
3. Edit your work until your brain leaks out your ears.
4. Love your work like your wife or the best damn lover you could ever hope to have; love it till you have have a * euphemism alert* spasm (and you will—all over the place).
5. Enjoy yourself (because you want to, I know you do).
6. And write everything. Reviews, fiction, blog posts: everything.
