Cannon Questions · 5:15am Mar 16th, 2013
Despite not having a readership, I've decided to start writing a little segment.
You see, I have many questions about the cannon of Equestria, so I have decided to post weekly a question of mine concerning that powerful subject.
Cannons were so successful in the Late Middle Ages that they single-handedly brought about the downfall of the iconic stone city wall as a method of fortification that had dominated warfare since mankind learned the art of masonry. Since we know from observing Pinkie Pie that Equestria possesses cannon, I am left to wonder: why are the delicate, baroque-gothic city walls of Canterlot still manned--stallioned? Surely, the expense of maintaining and patrolling such out of date fortifications is more of a liability than anything else. Are cannons in Equestria only used for parties and/or battling changelings? There are many interesting canon questions about Equestria that I think are dying to be answered, and this is one of them.
Nitpick: It's "Canon" when referring to what's true or false with regards to a fictional universe.
It's "Cannon" if you're referring to guns.
