Vacuous Commenters Get No Sympathy from Me · 11:15pm Jan 23rd, 2016
I trust you all are reasonable, sane, intelligent individuals here, so this probably isn't meant for your receipt, but I feel I must vent this.
Don't do overly stupid things in the comments sections of my videos. I'll omit and supplant the person's name, whose comments precipitated this journal entry, with the name "Orbdamu" because this is not meant to humiliate the individual but rather pose their case as an example. Orbdamu decided at 2:56 PM today to reinforce the notion that YouTube commenters can be remarkably ignorant. Orbdamu commented that (s)he was "very disappointed" with one of the stories I had read because it was a pony adaptation of a classic piece of English literature.
That's not an inherently bad thing to note unless, of course, I took it upon myself to mention it in the video's description and unless this fact was not also stated on the original author's work, also linked in this description. Had Orbdamu simply read a few words in the description, (s)he would not have been disappointed. Furthermore, Orbdamu's remark also lacks merit to me because it concerns the writing itself instead of the performance; since I was not the author of the work, the mention of this fact is not a fair critique of my work (although it certainly would come off as simply a complaint if the case were that I were the author).
Additionally, I find these facts especially unacceptable considering that I could discern, based on my emails from Google, that Orbdamu had actually commented this on the correct video, deleted it, and posted roughly the same comment with worse punctuation two minutes later on the wrong video.
If you want to never be able to have your comments seen on my videos, that's how you do it.

Usually I have a higher tolerance for such nonsense, but the persona was actually decently articulate, so I figured they truly had no excuse to make all these mistakes at once. My suspicion is that this was, in fact, not done on accident but rather done intentionally to troll.
Trolling is something I have a low tolerance for. It just doesn't seem likely to me that this was an honest mistake.
