I am now officially old(er) and a video · 6:46pm Nov 1st, 2015
Thanks to those of you who wished me a happy birthday! It's kind of weird not to be able to go to Comikaze or, what would be even better, spend it with my family. Two years ago, I was able to celebrate my nephew's birthday (the 28th) and mine (the 31st) together. It had been decades since my family had sung "Happy Birthday" to me, and I was surprised at how much it made me tear up. Last year, my Mom and Dad flew all the way to California to be with me, and that was awesome, too. My town has a nice Halloween festival where kids get dressed up and the local merchants in the Village give out candy. There's a costume contest and a dog costume contest down at the depot. We walked around, and the sidewalks on both sides were packed, and after a while, I just started counting Elsas. I gave up at eighteen, but there were more than that.
It wasn't bad being at this conference, though, because it's a small conference and we all know each other, and it's really awesome. I didn't put it together, but I guess I spent my birthday sitting onstage during a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream, laughing my head off.
In other news, BronyCon released its videos, and to my surprise, this includes the whole shipping panel, Love Is In Bloom. It's a lot of fun to watch, and not just because I'm in it. It's me, bookplayer, who organized the panel, Sunchaser, Skywriter, and Aquaman. I didn't know any of them before the panel, and by the end of it, I was so pleased to have met them and heard their opinions (and also to have some nice new things to read.) If you are sitting around and saying to yourself, "self, how can I write romance fiction that does not suck?", you could do worse than to follow their blogs, because all of them talk about this and other writing topics. (And while she wasn't on the panel, Bookish Delight, too.)
Anyway, I'm having fun watching it, because at the time I was too busy participating in it to take it in.
Also, if you weren't able to be there or were too caught up in LineCon to make it to something you wanted to see, here's how you can see it. I'm going to recommend SilverQuill's The Legend of Donut Steel, which is about how to and how not to create OCs. Most of it is visual design, but anyone who has read bad fanfic will recognize that bad design often goes with a poorly thought out character, so it's worth watching.
Happy birthday! Sorry this is late!
Happy birthday!
Happy belated Birthday!
Oh! I would've said something had I realized. Still, happy birthday plus two!
+1 to belated happy birthday! The shipping panel was a delight to be on and I am honored at having been a last-minute addition to it!
Happy birthday then.
Yo! Good job on being older than you were a few days ago.

Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday, and thanks for posting that vid, else I never would have gotten to see it
There are far worse ways to spend a birthday. That actually sounds pretty nice.
Happy birthday, and I found the panel discussion video extremely interesting.
Oh cripes, I completely forgot it was your birthday, yet I knew it like any other date last year. I've been a bit distracted and inactive lately. So happy belated birthday.
I'll definitely check out the panel video sometime soon.
