My favorite Stories and Why I love them

I have read a lot of stories since joining this site, but quite a few have stood out as my absolute, hands-down favorites. I want to share why. So I decided I will. these are the stories that have found a special place in my heart. all are rated 10/10 in my book

1) Past Sins by Pen Stroke: The reason I love this fic is because of how the characters interact with Nyx and each other, even after finding out her secret. This scared, adorable little filly stole a piece of my heart from her first appearance and still holds it to this day. A recommended read for anyone (right along with it's multiple side stories, both official and unofficial).

2) Halo: On the Wings of Angels by Gyvon: This fic Found a place in my heart simply because of how it is told. The Characters are interesting but not overwhelming and it features everyones favorite bookworm with a new look at life. The added effect here is that this story doesn't involve the Master Chief, Cortana, or any other main Halo Character. a solid read even at this stage in develpoment.

3) Zestar Apple Flambe by Zyxx: Hands down one of my favorite fics of all time even without being finished yet. This story is amazing. It focuses on the relationship that develops between AB and Spike, but leaves out the nitty gritty details, something a lot of ship fics could learn from. It also paints a delightful picture of Spike as he takes responsibility under his own free will. A great read!

4) Song of the Moon by BlackWing: At first, you'd think it was just a standard HiE fic, but this one has a unique twist. Even though it takes a few chapters to get to Equestria, the story is amazing even in those few chapters. Not to mention the absolutely brilliant music selections for Lark's violin (love me some violin).

5) Thrown Abroad by Niaeruzu: A rather interesting read, as it focuses on a changeling instead of the Mane 6, this story brought me a ton of joy to read. It's funny to read and each time I read it, the story just gets funnier. This story and it's sequels are a treat to those who love comedy.

6) Allegrezza by Avensis Astari (formerly CoffeeGrunt): I love a well written and story driven fic. This story drew me in and demolished my expectations. The author did an amazing job with the pacing of the story. At no point did i feel rushed. A great OctaxScratch fic.

7) Cuatro by Dirty Bit: One of only Two Bleach crossovers I actually like, this story was a wonderful read. Anyone that knows anything about Bleach should read this fic. The pace of the story is awesome as it goes through a day by day storyline. The characters all are remarkably well written and the mystery of the story is fabulous.

8) Through the Eyes of Another Pony by CardsLafter: A must read for everyone in this fandom. This Human-turned-pony fic is amazingly well written with it's own brand of humor. An awesome read and a great guide to pony trolling, this stories main character, Firewall, is a well thought out character that combines a troll with a completely serious attitude when the time comes.

9) The Darkness of Love by The Grimm Reaper: A dark fic that really makes you wonder what would have happened if Spike had truly stayed away from ponies. Needless to say that while this fic is pretty freaking dark, I love ever second of it. This and it's sequels had me awestruck from the moment I started reading.

10) Foal Necromancer by Kytranis: Another Human-turned-pony fic that I love. This one follows the story of a necromancer forced into equestria where he finds a new way of life and has trouble adjusting to it. Wonderful to read.

11) The Apprentice, the Student, and the Charlatan by Rytex: A long read but well worth it. This story Follows Luna's own student in magic and his journey. Along the way he meets Twilight and Trixie and has a few adventures. A wonderfully written and paced fic. it's sequel is just as good.

12) The Sweetest Gem by The Rarispy: The beginning of a great trilogy, this story focuses on Sweetie Belle as she tries to tell Spike how she feels about him. Along the way she will face her shyness and some heartbreak but she never truly gives up.

13) The Golden Armor by Comet Burst: A heartwarming fic about two new royal guard recruits. Comet and Angel are the perfect balance of characters. Comet is serious and stoic while Angel is fun-loving and hyper. A good read for those with an interest in the life of a guard.

14) A Dragons Journey by Abramus5250: While i've tried to keep clop fics off this list, I can't ignore this one. It's more focused on story than sex and the story is Awe inspiring. This follows Spike as he sets off on a journey around the world, meeting new freinds and making some enemies along the way.

15) An Affliction of the Heart by Anonymous Pegasus: Part one of a series and definitely a unique one. This is about a reserve guard and a changeling. Warden and Kuno make for a very interesting story as they get to know each other.

16) A Dragon's Might by Madness Brony: A dark fic where the griffins takeover Equestria and Twilight manages to send spike away from the carnage. Spike has a difficult journey ahead but his perspective makes for an awesome story.

17) Spiders and Magic: Rise of Spider-Mane by Maximus_Reborn: The first Spider Man story I found that I liked. Peter has had some rough times in his life and has to struggle to get accustomed to a new world when twilight summons him to equestria. Follow Spidey as he makes friends in this story and fights old enemies. great start to a series.

18) Foal of the Forest by Moguera: First part of a long series and definitely on of my absolute faves. Follow Dawn Lightwing, a mysterious colt with a lonely past, as he struggles to overcome prejudice in society. A heartwarming story with a warrior edge.

19) A Changeling's Visit to Skyrim by Erised the ink-moth: Simply put, this story is one of the funniest ones i have ever read. If you are looking for a laugh, look no further.

20) The Emerald Dragon by Onomonopia: A Green Lantern crossover, with Spike as the main character. Wonderful read, great story altogether and the character development is awesome.

21) The Arrival of Ford Mustang by RoyalRainbow: This story had my awe struck from beginning to end. No doubt about it, this an amazingly incredible story about finding your place in a new world. Would recommend this to everyone.

22) Who Is This Lord Tirek You Speak Of? by Bucking Nonsense: Where else can you read about a boxing match between a human in Tirek's body and Discord? As far as I know, only in this fic. Incredibly convoluted in the best of ways, this story has had me in stitches from day one.
