Gotta go with yellow/cyan/pink. Yellow is an underrated color IMO. For rainbows though, I have to go with the classic ROYGBIV. Grew up on that, gotta stick to my roots. Indigo doesn't get enough respect.

Favorite polyamory is definitely Applejack/Fluttershy/Rarity. Or Flarijack, if you will (and I will!). And favorite ship is definitely Appleshy, though oddly enough, despite Appleshy being my OTP, I've written a fair amount more Rarilight than it. Rarilight's pretty high up there too.

As for favorite stories...I honestly don't read as much as I should. I really loved Love Means Having To Say You're Sorry by Bookplayer. The way she wrote Rainbow was fantastic, IMO, and served as inspiration for me writing Rainbow Dash and the Perfectly-Awesome No-Bad Very-Good Plan. Littlecolt's The Conquering of Love is also something I loved when I was reading it, although I'm waaaaaaaaaay behind on it (I last read early into Overgrowth (Book 2), and Book 4 just ended). If we're talking mature stories, then I really liked TwistedSpectrum's Royal Duties. For favorite authors, Donnys Boy would be up there, and I'm really liking what I've read of Sharp Spark.

There's so much to name though. Those are just a few top favorites.

Ohhh boy. Here we go. Keep in mind that this, obviously, will be based primarily on headcanon, with little sprinkles of canon things added in.

They're a couple that's happy just enjoying the little things in life. Other ponies need action, drama, and adventure. Other couples are seen as more exciting, and might view AJ and Shy as an uninteresting couple, but they don't need constant hustle and bustle. They're happy just having each other. If you've read "All In" by Donnys Boy (in the Friends and Lovers compilation), he puts it into words a little better than how I am here, but it's the same exact way I feel about them. They could be content just sitting there next to each other and looking into each other's eyes.

As for other little things: Fluttershy's obviously good with animals, and AJ runs a farm, which lends itself to dealing with animals as well. Applejack tends to be the one that Fluttershy runs to a lot when she's scared (see Dragonshy, which will always be my principle canon reference for Appleshy things), and Applejack can be her rock, the one who's most often patient with her. Yes, Bats! kind of threw that off a bit, but AJ was under a fair amount of duress herself, and was doing what she thought was right for her livelihood. They don't have to agree on everything, but in he end, AJ's proven that she's happy to be calm and patient with Fluttershy and support her. This can be said for the others as well, but I just see it working best with Shy and AJ. Plus, I can see Shy as a good rock for AJ as well, to calm her down on the occasions that she's in over her head.

I'm glad for any manner of artistic expression. That's one of the reasons that I've stayed with this fandom so long. It just seems to bring out talent in so many people. If you're asking what I like in fanfic that I read, I tend to lean towards fluffy shippy stories. I'll gladly dabble outside of that, but that kind of stuff is my bread and butter. I'm not a big fan of grimdark though, and I also mostly tend away from anthro.
