Possibly the latest Bronycon wrap-up post this year · 2:43am Aug 26th, 2014
Hello!
I know I've done bits and bobs here and there but not a proper wrap up.
So!
This year, I was supposed to be rooming with Csquarede08, Foughtdragon01, and Best Pony. Unfortunately, CS was unable to come.
After some initial confusion and upset about the hotel room, we were in on Thursday. Magicoddeffect made up our fourth person for the room, so it all balanced out nicely. That night, I set up my stuff in the vendor hall (fairly late) and we all just kind of hung out and relaxed after the car ride down which was 1. way too long and 2. way too hot. On the upside, there was no "wait four hours at Philadelphia International Airport" this year prior to driving down. Big bonus. Also, it didn't rain on the way down, which was also nice because I am not fond of rain.
I know we ate at Tir Na Nog and we all took turns wearing Magicoddeffect's hat. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were spent holed up in the vendor hall, trying to sell soap, mousepads, and prints with Alexstrazsa and MXCoriginal. MXC and I got off to a very rocky start (I had never met him before), but wound up getting on pretty well by the end of things. Alex was Alex and I think we got on pretty well. We took turns selling each other's stuff when one of us had to run to the bathroom or wanted to get food/fresh air/etc.
ABagOVicodin stopped by the booth as well and did awesome stuff like bring us food, drinks, and small bills to make change with out of the big bills we thrust upon him. (Dat bulge tho.)
Also, I got to meet the wonderful and complimentary MaskedFerret, who is an awesome lady who helped sell my soap like crazy.
And of course, I got to see Obs, Wanderer D, met SleeplessBrony, and Pen Stroke was kind enough to sign my badge. Also, he's a LOT taller than I expected. But a very nice person in general. Also, I say I "met" SleeplessBrony but what I really mean here is that I got drunk at a massive author's dinner at Tir Na Nog (reservation was for 23. There wound up being 60 of us) and flung wet bits of paper at him using my spoon as a makeshift trebuchet.
He was nice about it, all things considered.

A surprising amount of bronies really liked my soap and RaspingLeech (who did not make it to the con) showed me a thing when I got home:

These cosplayers were pretty neat
I had not made cosplays for this year because money. (Next year! I swear!) But I managed to put together a passable Octavia costume, now that my hair is black.
By passable I mean "I sort of looked cute so I rolled with it".
Mew. Er. Neigh? Idek.
A dude came by the booth, complimented the cosplay, and told me how he got two of the black blind bags--one was Octavia and the other was Vinyl Scratch, which was pretty cool. I bid him goodbye. A little bit later, I left to go do something (forget what) and when I came back, Alex was like "Hey, someone left you a present."
I don't know who you are but you're awesome, random person who gifted me an Octavia.
And then it got better because Best Pony bought me a bowler hat. I love bowler hats.

Magicoddeffect stole it for a bit.
I bought a thing. It's pretty awesome.
ALSO they had communication cards this year and tbh I was really REALLY happy about that because I don't generally like being bothered by people when I'm feeling awful and antsy and anxious.
I also got mendhi done at a booth womaned by a name that escapes me at the moment (sorry!), and a pretty Fluttershy bracelet from SilverSlinger's booth, which is also where I got that money clip from. SilverSlinger is pretty awesome and has some nice stuff.

And, lastly, my dear little brother FoughtDragon01 was apparently inspired by the bowler hat Octavia thing I had going on, and wondered how it would actually look. And then he drew this:
Which I adore and will probably be my profile picture for some time to come.
And of course, my OTP and I had a fabulous time together, of which there are no pictures because reasons. I mean, toga parties don't need pictures, right?

I know I met like a squillion other people and if you're left out, I don't mean to offend.
Present Perfect, Magical Trevor, Pav Fiera, Kalash (who crashed with us for a night), NotSoSubtle, Cloudhammer, Sunchaser, Dusty Sculptures, DPad, CircuitMane, BikerDash... Saw Andrea Libman, too, in the vendor hall.
Why can I not remember everyone godddddddddd. This is why I need to make these posts immediately.

(And OMC That version of Octavia is now headcanon for me. I just... OMC. One of my friends used to do stuff like that all the time, and even though she doesn't play an instrument, I could TOTALLY see her being Octavia wearing a bowler hat! XD)
