Q&A About My Characters · 1:53pm Jul 11th, 2014
I think one of the few things I'm able to do decently so far is having varied, interesting, and well-developed characters (if not necessarily believable...). However, I know some of you might have some questions about some of their idiosyncrasies, how I came up with them, or even mundane shit like their favorite food. And I'm referring not only to my OCs, but every character in the story. When it comes to the Mane 6, I mostly go off of the show when writing their characters, but pretty much every other character is fair game.
So, got a burning question about a character of mine? Ask away!
(Needless to say, if you ask a question that might engender future spoilers for MoaP, my response will be suitably circuitous to avoid screwing things over for the benefit of you and the other readers. I might make an allowance if it concerns the next chapter, though.)
2274246 GODDAMMIT, AKU. THAT'S NOT A CHARACTER-
Wait, yes, it is.
I'm not planning to write any at the moment. Night-Captain Moon Glade has enough of a backstory in my head that I could craft a fairly decent side story for him, and he's the only OC pony who I'm not sure I can fit into the narrative of Memories. I'm already juggling enough subplots as it is (even if it doesn't seem like it quite yet).
Glancing Shock, Lyra, and Dancie are all an integral part of the main narrative, so you'll get their stories by the end of the story. Glancing Shock could have his own offshoot adventure story, assuming I'm not satisfied with how well he's represented in the main narrative, but I'm reasonably confident I can touch on his past and still have it be relevant to the plot. For now.
But, really, we're talking about an OP Gary Stu HiE fic here, so obviously all their pasts are terribly tragic and whatnot. And I'm marrying them to a black, red-maned alicorn who will treat them cruelly until he discovers the magic of Friendship, thus becoming the lost Element of Harmony and saving all Equestria from a prophesied doom. Or something. (No, that doesn't happen, and no, they don't all have a tragic history.)
Seriously, though, not planning on writing any spinoffs, but I get drunk and start random things all the time, so I won't write off the chance. (Hahahaha, I'm so, so witty that it- please kill me.)
The Wanderers may or may not end up as a story set in the same multiverse that Nix occupies. I haven't decided yet.
2274246 Also, I'm drunk so I edited my reply no fewer than several billion times to clarify. If you read my reply the first minute or hour after it was posted, feel free to reread it for a better answer to your question.
