I still have writer's block (sort of...) and the next chapter of MoaP is nowhere near completion!
Okay, now that we've got that bit of Futurama outta my system, I suppose I owe you all something that isn't sarcastic. Yes, still writer's block. Still no manic phase in sight. And we're entering what I like to call "bee season", because here in the southwest USA any season that doesn't see those winged bastards freezing to death in their small hovels of pure evil is, in fact, bee season. Yes, I don't have a complex about what happened last year. Nope, not at all.
I'm hoping for at least one more deep freeze here to wipe out a plethora of them. But, well, Arizona, dry heat, etc., etc. Not getting my hopes up.
Now, having shelved my anxiety for a moment, I think you all deserve some sort of update. Yeah, my chapter updates suck. Working on it. (Remember, I'm mostly crazy and probably drunk at this point.)
So, MoaP. Yeah, I've got all of a thousand words written for the next chapter. Sad to say, that's it. If it's any consolation, I know what's supposed to happen for this chapter, and the next one, and a great many afterward; I've had a lot of time to think. But actually forming the correct words? That's a bit harder.
Weirdly enough, I just wrote about ~2500 words on a story I haven't even published on here yet called The Wanderers. Just to give you faithful readers some warning, there's a good chance that that story will see an update before Memories, not because I want to focus on a side project more than the story I really wanna write, but because, well, uh, that's the way these things work.
At least with The Wanderers I'll be smart enough to have a few chapters complete and a coherent story description before I finally submit. Learned my lesson the hard way with Memories of a Phoenix...and I'm lucky to have as many followers as I am given the fact it was universally hated the first day I submitted it.
Now, having said all that in a rambling manner well-suited to my current levels of inebriation, I still promise that I will finish the Blade of the Phoenix saga, and will focus on it above side projects like The Wanderers. Trust me, not gonna leave anyone hanging.
TL;DR: LOL NU CHAPTER? NO WAI KTHXBAI.
