So in my latest blog post I revealed that I actually... don't really care for Spitfire (to put it EXTREMELY mildly), but then I thought about it and realized that I actually hate the entire concept of Wonderbolts, or at least the way they're handling it, especially since that God awful, unpleasant, mean-spirited piece of SHI- Ahem, that rather mediocre episode called Wonderbolts Academy.
I get their point in the show: they serve as a goal for Rainbow Dash, a dream for her to chase (though that was kinda ridiculous even before season 3 seeing how they always got their flanks kicked whenever they actually tried to do something, why does RD want to join them to begin with? She's too cool for them!), but... why in the name of Celestia did they need to turn them into some kind of Pony Military?! That's not even really their purpose as far as I know, they're just there to... show off, and again whenever they actually try to help they end up looking like buffoons!
And WHY THE *BUY SOME APPLES!* DID THEY TURN SPITFIRE INTO THE EQUINE VERSION OF R. LEE ERMEY?!? She should just shut the Hell up after all the laughable poor figures she did, at first she at least showed gratitude for Rainbow Dash but now I've lost all my respect for her! I swear I wanna PUNCH her snout whenever she uses that obnoxious intimidating stare, and I wish I could SMASH those stupid sunglasses of hers that clearly she only wears to say "I am so kewl and you suck, lololol!"
Okay now, please bear in mind that I don't hate the military by principle, I know we all need an army in case some mad leader decided to invade us or anything like that, I'm not talking about the real world, I'm talking about Equestria. Seriously, how can something like this be in the same society where things like this happen?! How come a society based on friendship and love has a group of flyers that mistreats their newbies like that? I could understand that in the royal guard, after all they are the army that defends Equestria and the princesses, but why did they give such a dark and unpleasant turn to a group of acrobats in tights? That doesn't make any sense, it just tramples the positive message that the show is supposed to give!
And on top of that, Hasbro and its defenders keep justifying everything that happens in the show which doesn't please its adult fans by saying "hey, it's still for little kids", but how is a parody of Full Metal Jacket that's not even funny any suitable for children? That's just horrifying!
Oh gosh, I'm so depressed right now... it shows doesn't it? Well, I don't expect you to agree with me, I hope you can at least comprehend me. If you're going to make fun of me and call me a whiny kid, well go ahead, see if I care, you're not even worthy of licking my boots! Pardon the aggressiveness, but I can't hide the way I feel about unsensitive jerks who should not even be bronies to begin with.
after watching Rainbow falls and Newbie Dash, the Wonderbolts are god fucking awful equine beings! I hope they get sucked into Tartarus sometime soon or sent to the moon. Spitfire has no redeemable quality for me anymore. At first she was nice at the Gala and kind of a respectable leader in Rarity Investigates and after realizing what Rainbow said in WonderBolts Academy but now I hope she fucking dies!
She made me wish the actual pony shadowbolts would just fly in her base, kick her ass and start a better military force.
I know this post is old, but they've become worse. RD's relationship with these monsters is downright abusive.
3941784 But in Wonderbolts Academy Spitfire denied responsibility for her own stupidity and accused RD of wronging her. Spitfire was at fault for everything in that episode.
