Oh to be Followed: A Blog Update · 2:02am Dec 3rd, 2013
I've been keeping updates in my blog for a long time now and only when they removed the ability to mention stories did I know it wasn't working.
Silly me.
SO! Where does that leave us? Well, I have a plan for the next chapter and actually have a ton of it written out - but I need to change some things and finish the fool thing. I think I'm pretty dang close to finishing it (I want to get a particular scene done well and need to trim some fat from it before it's ready for prime time) but I cannot promise a date because I suck and have recently updated my system so that means I'm going to lazily drift through games for a bit.
I suck, I know. Really, you don't need to remind me.
I'm a fairly slow writer as some may have guessed but I'm slowly getting it done. Slowly. With utter slowness. Is that even a word? The problem now being that I'm rarely in the mood to work on things I said I'd work on. Halfway done with this, partially done with that ... yeah. No focus. But I stress my intention and commitment to finishing this story if it kills me - and considering the amount I smoke, it probably will. Still, I'm committed. At least I should be. There are no dead stories here! Just ... life support. Lots of life support.
Sorry about how long this stupid chapter is taking, I have some surprises in store and I don't want them to blatantly suck. Well, any more than usual that is. So I'm trying to keep the proper mindset to work on it and that mindset is hard to come by. As is the crack it requires. Bear/bare/bair/Bayer with me as I try not to blow at my chosen hobby. Thank you and goodnight.
Slow, but consistent, and that's all that really matters. Keep up the good work!
And besides, slow is relative. I follow stories that go 4 or 5 months between updates so no worries.

OH! Oh don't you worry, we will get to that soon enough! Probably. No intention to do that but it probably will happen.
Hey, at least you manage to update! Here, have a drink:

1566727 Ah but see, you've already done the most important part, you've hooked me, so I'll wait.
The day I can pay you crazy author people a steady wage to provide me with that sweet, sweet fiction is the day I'll complain about slowness. But I haven't won the lottery yet so today is not that day.
Pfft! Hahaha! Oh, man...
There is no way I could criticize you on that point without being a massive hypocrite.
Hopefully the next chapter will take even longer! Won't that be exciting?
-Takes a swig of some unidentified liquid-
Ah, good, you ain't dead yet in this dimension.
Woah, the picture got bigger.
Pretty sure I've heard this same sentence, though paraphrased, by other authors that I'm keeping track of. Heck, it sounds like something I ought to tell my own followers at some point.
In other words, I think you'll fit in just fine around here.
Don't even try to rush. Just make it good.
1567456O...kay...
Hey, no probs about the speed, as long as my eyes get to suck in those juicy, succulent words upon your completion, I'm fine! Also, I hear it's healthy to work slowly on writing and have lots of fun while you do so! Maybe it's not the best work ethic, but it's sure to get those creative glands spewing! Ew, gross analogy....
<rant> I just wanted to say I F'ing appreciate the update. An author who's story I enjoyed just recently decided that he was quitting and deleted all of his blog and everything else and nearly suffered an author existence failure. Now all that would be okay'ish except that he didn't say anything until like a day or two later so everybody that was reading his stuff was left in the lurch. Now I'm not saying don't quit just saying let us know before hand so can stop getting our hopes up that something might update. arrrghhhhHHHHHHHH. Not that you're quitting, I just needed to get that off my chest </rant> Anyways, take all the time you need to finish the chapter/story, a hobby should not feel like a job. A product done well is better than ten done poorly, or something.
It's too be expected how intense the story has gotten as the card house starts to collapse, not to mention the oh so busy wonderful days of the holiday seasons kicking in. I'll likely go back and read through everything a fourth time when you finally send me some material, to make sure I know what's going on with the characters and story again and all that. I'll be looking forward to the laughs. No worries man, not like you haven't been busy elsewhere on the site doing stuff and junk too.
Hope the next chapter's not giving you too much trouble, and looking forward to its eventual release (Giggity).
Also, happy belated Christmas and New Year.
Yes. I believe you miss pronounced it though. It goes s-l-o-t-h.....
Seriously though. I have been faithfully waitin' for awhile mister author...

12k and counting ...
So, still alive?
1761268
Eeyup.
1761441 Good to know. How's life doing?
1761685
Busy with life and thus some things suffer ... like writing. I can't write worth a dick nowadays.
1762731 Meh, that'll happen. How's the family? How's the job? How's the [insert other negligible conversation topic here]?
1762846
Sorry, sorry. Trying to do too many things and not enough time or motivation to do any. Job is busy, family is ... there. Weather sucks. Writing is slow. Head hurts, must stop banging it one day ...
1766725 Hmm... Well that sounds down right shitty. You clearly need a pick-me-up. Unfortunately, I have nothing in that way that is legal...
You could try spending more time outside. OR possibly take some vitamin D supplements. Vitamin D is really good for keeping people happy, especially in the winter months.
