Stupid thing, posting before I finished typing, how dare you...

So! Earlier I announced that I was going to be appearing at Cloudsdale Congress, yes? Well, I'm not merely going to be an attendee; I'm going to be on the fanfiction panel! I'll be up there with the likes of JMac, Bad Horse, and my buddy alexmagnet! We're going to talk about words! All of the words. Every single one of them. Including "felicitous".

Considering the con is this weekend, it's probably too late of a notice for anyone to make last-minute travel arrangements implying I can put asses in seats so I'm sorry about that! Things have been a bit zany all around. Still, if you happen to already be going or you're in the area, I'd love to see ya! Obviously if a recording surfaces, I'll post it here too.

Charity update! As you might have seen, a whopping $18,300 was raised for the stranded guests and short-sold charities! The generosity is astounding. Someone freakin' offered up a bed to sleep in. Just awesome.

A friend of mine and EQD prereader, Pascoite, graciously volunteered to contribute his services to my auction, and as a result its price jumped a whopping 300%! All of my appreciation! As if that wasn't enough, the winner, Coconutswallow, graciously split the prize with the runner-up. Like... seriously. Insert some pithy Xhibit quote here. Bronies being generous and civil in a charity auction. I'm humbled and awestruck.

Also on the note of auctions, I myself won a commission from someone. I have already been shown early drafts. How to put this... You're going to start reading this fic. You're going to reach the point where the premise is made clear. You will groan, optionally remove your glasses (if you wear them), rub your eyes, then throw me a dirty look and say. "Look. Look at what you made him write. Look at what has been wrought. Are you proud of yourself?" To which I will excitedly nod and clap my hands while squealing giddily. Jaxie, as always, is a dapper fellow. And let's be fair here: I only really gave him a very general prompt. The idea for the story, and pretty much every joke therein, all came from him. He will probably avidly deny this, however, and try to pin this all on me and my depravities. And really, who could blame him?

In other news, I almost have a second chapter of Thesis! The current draft nearly doesn't suck! Both chapters so far have been a very frustrating growth experience as I try to convey a concept that's juuuust beyond my writing chops, but I hope that the end result will be worth it and also that it won't take me a decade to finish that story at this rate, when it's only gonna be a fraction of MLCT's wordcount.... Massive disclaimer though: while I say it's close in terms of manhours, *points up* as you can see, my schedule is a little zany, not to mention the charity piece takes higher priority, plus, am I up for Round 17 of Seattle's Angels? Oh what wunderbar timing, so the release date is still Soon (TM). It's a much shorter Soon (TM) than it used to be, though!
