When Twilight and her friends had their plans at a carnival ruined, they all felt very upset. Soon, they enter a world where special ladies come to help the Rainbooms get over their sadness.
The sun sets on a summer day at Canterlot City. The Canterlot Carnival is in town. And, everyone is having fun. Going on rides, munching on carnie food, playing games, having a blast. Outside the carnival gates, Twilight Sparkle and her six friends look on with sad looks on their faces.
“Man, this stinks!” Rainbow Dash barked. “It’s so not fair.”
“I’m with you, Dashie.” Pinkie Pie replied. “Even I can’t be optimistic.”
“None of us are very optimistic now.” Sunset Shimmer added. “Our plans to rock the carnival have been scrapped.”
“It’s like that old saying.” Rarity explained. “This is the day our music died.”
Everybody feel the pain as Twilight asks for an idea. “Since we can’t stay at the carnival, what can we do?”
Rarity has an idea. “We can spend the night at my house. Let’s call our parents and let them know about our current situation.”
Everyone nodded, and walked away from the carnival. Later that night, the girls went to Rarity’s house, slipped into their sleepwear, and try to relax.
“Anything On MyStable?” Fluttershy wondered.
Pinkie Pie checked on her computer. “Everyone is talking about the carnival.”
“I don’t want to think about it,” Sunset protested, “after what happened.”
“I’m with you, Sunset.” Twilight agreed while reading a book. “Our plans over there went belly up.”
“You got that right, Twi.” Rainbow Dash stated.
Applejack agreed. “It’s the only thing any of us got right.”
Suddenly, a glowing gate opened, and revealed what looks like a medieval setting.
“Oooo.” Pinkie howled. “What’s this?”
“I don’t know.” Twilight answered. “I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this.”
Applejack stood up and put on her hat. “Maybe we ought to take a look.”
The girls gathered and stood with Applejack. Rarity made a statement. “AJ is right. This looks interesting.”
Twilight went to the front of the line. “Follow me. But, be careful.”
The girls followed Twilight into the glowing gate. As soon as they all went in, the gate closed and disappeared. Still in their sleepwear, the seven girls walked cautiously around their surroundings.
“This place is beautiful.” Fluttershy uttered.
“It is gorgeous, darling.” Rarity replied. “The question is, where are we?”
They were soon approached by a strange little woman with white hair and wearing a blue and white outfit. Holding what looks like a magic wand, she gives a greeting to the girls. “Put it to you this way, Rainbooms. You are not in Equestria.”
The woman disappeared into thin air.
“She’s right.” Sunset Shimmer said. “If we were in Equestria, we all would’ve been ponies. Not that it would bother me.”
“But,” Dash figured, “it would bother the rest of us.”
“You got that right, Dashie.”
The girls saw a doorway. In the doorway, they saw a silhouette. The silhouette came into the light. It belonged to a lovely woman with blonde hair, wearing a white and sky blue ball gown and long white gloves.
Twilight Sparkle looked at the woman and realized who it was.
“Whoa!” Rainbow Dash gasped. “We must be in HER castle.”
Sunset saw her coming their way. “She must be making rounds in here.”
“Let’s get back so she can pass through.” Rarity suggested.
The seven girls stepped aside as Cinderella walks by. Just then, the princess turns her attention to the seven friends.
“Hello, there.” Cinderella greeted. “It’s nice to have visitors.”
The girls got shocked that Cinderella said ‘hello’ to them.
“Oh my.” Fluttershy uttered. “We’re being greeted by a princess.”
The girls calmed down as Cinderella looks at them.
“I’m very happy to have visitors to my castle.” Cinderella said. “And, what a nice assembly of friends we have. Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Sunset Shimmer. It’s a pleasure to meet all of you.”
Everyone gasped as Twilight spoke up. “You know who we are?”
“Yes.” Cinderella answered. “I heard so much of the music troupe known as the Rainbooms.” She looks at the girls and noticed something else. “But, I feel there’s something wrong with you too. What’s the matter?”
Twilight Sparkle explained their story. “As you figured, we are known as the Rainbooms. We were about to perform at the Canterlot Carnival.”
“However,” Rarity continued, “we were stopped by a vicious woman named Abacus Cinch, former principal of Crystal Prep.”
“We were so embarrassed,” Fluttershy cried, “we left the carnival. And, stayed away from it.”
Cinderella was moved by the story. “Oh my. This person, Abacus Cinch, sounds mean.”
“Mean is right!” Rainbow Dash protested. “She can give your stepmother, Lady Tremaine, lessons on cruelty.”
“I might have to agree. But, I wouldn’t worry about that.”
Applejack’s face was starting to turn red. Rarity was noticing. “Are you all right, darling?”
“I’m nervous.” Applejack answered. “We’re all wearing our sleepwear. I feel a bit embarrassed.”
Cinderella approached the farm girl to comfort her. “Don’t be worried, Applejack. I’m not offended.”
“You aren’t?”
“No.” Cinderella chuckled. “I’ve seen all kinds of sleepwear. Your nightshirt looks very nice.”
Applejack feels relieved. Cinderella then approached Pinkie. “I like your pajamas too, Pinkie Pie. Your white tank top and magenta shorts look cute.”
“Thanks, Cinderella.” Pinkie Pie praised.
Cinderella then walked over to Rarity. “Your nightgown looks adorable, Rarity. It shows off your elegant side.”
Rarity feels very honored. “Thank you, Cinderella, darling.”
The Rainbooms feel much better. Cinderella then turned to them. “Rainbooms, follow me.”
All seven girls followed the princess to a big wooden door.
“Through this door,” Cinderella explained, “is the start of a grand adventure. You’ll go though a few costume changes as you meet some friends of mine. Bye.”
Cinderella walks off as she continues to tour her castle. The Rainbooms feel very good.
“I have to admit,” Rainbow Dash said, "Cinderella is cool in her own way.”
“So, Twilight.” Sunset wondered. “What kind of adventure are we in for?”
“I don’t know, Sunset.” Twilight answered. “But, there’s only one way to find out.”
Twilight Sparkle pushes the door open. Soon, she and her friends start a great adventure.
The girls soon find themselves in what looks like a courtyard. They were very amazed. Pinkie noticed something about herself.
“Look at me.” Pinkie Pie chirped. “I’m dressed like a court jester.”
Everyone was surprised. Pinkie is dressed up like a harlequin. Bells on her headdress, curved shoes, everything.
“Hey, you guys.” Rainbow shouted. “Looks like we’re all dressed like medieval people.”
That was true. Applejack, Sunset Shimmer, and Rainbow Dash are dressed as knights, wearing tunics with their respected symbols. Apple for Applejack, two toned sun for Sunset Shimmer, and a colorful lightning bolt for Rainbow Dash. And, Twilight, Rarity, and Fluttershy look like royal women. Twilight Sparkle has a flowing purple cape.
“Wow!” Fluttershy cheered. “I love our outfits. White shirts, vests and long skirts.”
“The only difference is the colors of the vests, shoes, and skirts, darling.” Rarity pointed out. “I’m wearing blue, you’re wearing pink, and Twilight is wearing midnight blue.”
“And, Twilight has a cape on.”
Sunset loved Twilight’s outfit. “You look like a true princess, Twi. Just like Princess Twilight back in Equestria.”
“Thanks, Sunset.” Twilight responded. “I’m very flattered.”
Just then, an arrow whizzed over their heads, and struck a tree.
“Oh my.” Fluttershy uttered. “Where did that come from?”
The seven friends spotted where the arrow came from. It was from a woman with wavy red hair and wearing a long dark green gown. She was holding an archery type bow, and greeted them in a Scottish accent. “Did I get your attention, ladies?”
Rainbow Dash recognizes the woman. “Whoa! I know that archer. It’s Merida!”
“Merida?” Pinkie yelped. “No joke?”
“No joke, Pinkie. This is one of the most adventurous princesses of all time.”
“Nice of ye to think that, Rainbow Dash.” Merida replied. “It’s nice for me to have a fan.”
“What?” Twilight gasped. “Merida knows us too?”
Merida turns to the flustered intellect. “That I do, Twilight Sparkle. But, what I’d like to know is what abilities ye maidens have.”
“Abilities?”
“Aye. Ye know. The magic powers each of you are known fer.”
“Maybe we should show her.” Sunset suggested. “There are those who are curious about what we can do.”
“Indeed, darling.” Rarity added. “This could be a fascinating experience for all of us.”
Merida proudly puts her hand on Rarity’s shoulder. “I like the way you think, Rarity. You’d be elegant as my mother, Queen Elinor.”
Rarity blushed after the nice comment. “Thank you, Merida.”
“My pleasure, my lady. Let’s get with it.”
Merida looks at the girls. Then, she makes a decision. “Let’s start with you, Rainbow Dash. Show me what ye got.”
“Okay, Merida.” Rainbow Dash responded. “You asked for it.”
Rainbow Dash took off like a rocket, zipping in every direction. When she stopped, everyone was impressed.
“Hmmm.” Merida said. “Super speed. And, you leave a rainbow trail behind. No wonder you’re named Rainbow Dash.”
Rainbow Dash chuckled as Merida chooses another maiden. “Let’s turn to you, Pinkie Pie. I feel there be more to you than being a jokester.”
“You bet.” Pinkie Pie cheered.
Pinkie picked up a normal rock. Energized it, then threw it up in the air. Suddenly, it exploded. Merida was shocked. “My heavens. That’s very explosive!”
“I know.” Pinkie chirped. “Some party, huh?”
“Remind me to hire you for my parents’ anniversary.” Merida turns to the next girl. “It be your turn, Rarity. Impress me.”
“Very well.” Rarity said.
Rarity made some big diamond shaped jewels appear, and flung them to Merida. The jewels wrapped around her. She was scared she did that. “Oh, dear. I’m sorry, Merida. I only meant to present you with these jewels. Not tie you up.”
Merida was surprised, but not upset. “Don’t worry, lass. My mother wishes she learned magic. She could restrain me if I get too nervous.”
Rarity removed the jewels as Merida makes another decision. “Show me what you can do, Applejack.”
“As you wish.” Applejack responded.
Applejack saw a big boulder just about her size. She grabbed the boulder, and lifted it over her head.
“I like this.” Merida applauded. “Super strength. Impressive.”
Applejack placed the boulder down and thanked the Scottish princess. “Thank you kindly, Merida.”
Suddenly, Merida felt someone touching her shoulder. She saw it was Sunset Shimmer, and noticed her eyes were glowing. When Sunset removed her arm from Merida’s shoulder, her eyes stopped glowing, and spoke to Merida. “I guess your brothers were giving you trouble again. Huh?”
Merida realized what happened. “I get it, Sunset Shimmer. Your ability is mind reading. Isn’t that a bit dangerous?”
“A bit. That’s why I don’t do it that much.”
“That’s good to know.”
Merida then turned to the nature lover of the troupe. “Let’s see what you can do, Fluttershy.”
“I just need a volunteer.” Fluttershy informed as she looks at the sky. “And, there’s one now.”
A majestic hawk flies into the area.
“That blasted hawk!” Merida growled. “He’s always a pest!”
The hawk landed on the boulder Applejack messed with. Fluttershy approached the bird. “I wonder if you would please leave this area. Miss Merida is a little bit annoyed.”
The hawk nodded, and flew away.
“I see now.” Merida realized. “You can talk to animals.”
“That’s why I like nature. It has a lot of interesting animals. If you understand them, they will understand you.”
Pleased, Merida turns to Twilight. “Now, what magic do YOU have, Miss Twilight Sparkle?”
Twilight approached that same boulder, and levitated it with her magic. Then, lowered it back down.
The seven friends went through the door. They find themselves in a cozy room. One wall is like a giant shelf with lots of books. Along with chairs, a sofa, and a table.
Their outfits stay the same. Except for Pinkie Pie. Her outfit looks like what Twilight, Rarity and Fluttershy were wearing. Except Pinkie’s vest, shoes, and skirt are bright red.
“This looks great.” Pinkie happily said. “The court jester outfit was fun. But, this looks nice.”
Twilight Sparkle looks at the shelves. “Look at all of these books! I could lose myself for months.”
“True.” Rarity replied. “I think I know who we’ll meet in here.”
“Belle?” Fluttershy gasped. “Oh my. Are you sure?”
“Rarity maybe right.” Rainbow Dash protested. “Belle is kind of a bookworm. And, the beast appreciates that.”
Suddenly, they spotted someone coming. A gentle woman with long brown hair, and wearing a blue and white outfit. The girls noticed that it WAS Belle.
“Hoo-wee!” Applejack yelped. “Belle’s village outfit looks pretty good.”
Then, Belle turns to the farmer girl. “That’s so nice of you to say that, Applejack.”
Applejack blushed. “Aw. Thank you kindly.”
The girls were happy to meet Belle. She then went to speak to Rarity. “Beauty of ‘Beauty and the Beast’. That’s a pretty good phrase, Rarity.”
“Thank you, darling.” Rarity responded.
“Belle,” Twilight Sparkle said, “it’s an honor to meet someone who likes books as much as I do.”
“Thank you, Twilight Sparkle.” Belle replied. “I’m happy you like to read as much as I do.”
“I read sometimes too.” Dash interrupted.
“So I heard, Rainbow Dash. Your books of choice feature the adventures of Daring Do.”
Shocked, Rainbow Dash blushed.
“There are many styles of books to read.” Belle informed. “Mysteries, dramas, biographies, thrillers, comedies, all depends on one’s interests.”
“I’m pretty good on comedy.” Pinkie Pie said. “Believe it or not, I read a few comical stories.”
Belle approached the party girl. “That’s good to know, Pinkie. Speaking of comedy, I’m glad you’re not wearing that court jester outfit now.”
Pinkie Pie got surprised to hear that. “You don’t like jesters?”
“Don’t be upset, Pinkie Pie. Court jesters are fun. But, there are some that are a bit scary. I hear that some kids get scared at the sight of circus clowns.”
“I think Belle is right.” Fluttershy indicated. “Some of those clowns can be freaky.”
Sunset Shimmer then had a thought. “Speaking of freaky characters, I wonder if you had any more trouble from that muscle bound bully. Gaston.”
“Gaston.” Belle uttered grimly. “I wish I can forget him.”
“Sounds like he has a big ego.” Rainbow wondered.
“That’s putting it mildly, Rainbow Dash. This man likes looking at himself in the mirror. He thinks he’s every lady’s dream come true.”
“Dream?” Rarity scoffed. “Sounds more like a nightmare to me.”
“That’s the difference between him and the beast.” Twilight stated. “At least the beast can open up to Belle.”
Sunset Shimmer started to feel uneasy. “The way Gaston likes to flex his muscle towards people, he reminds me too much of.... me.”
Sunset sits down on the couch, starting to feel sorrow. Belle walked up to Sunset to help her relax.
“Don’t feel sad, Sunset Shimmer.” Belle said. “Sure, you did start as a brute. But, in time, you learned what friendship is all about. And, you became friends with these girls.”
Sunset looked up at Belle, and started to feel better as Belle gives her a sweet hug.
“Thanks, Belle.” Sunset calmly praised. “You’re right. I did very good. Thanks to a friend from the land of Equestria.”
“Twilight Sparkle’s pony counterpart. Right?” Belle inquired.
“You know about magical ponies too?”
“I heard many stories about the mystical land of Equestria. Including that land’s princesses. Celestia, Luna, Cadence, AND Twilight Sparkle.”
Everybody was very surprised that Belle knows about Equestria.
“I guess Sunset’s old home does sound like a fantasy story.” Twilight informed. “Kind of like the castle of the beast.”
“You might be right, Twilight.” Belle replied. “When I first went into the castle, I was shocked. The beast let my father, who was his prisoner, go in exchange for me staying in the castle.”
“Was is scary living with the beast?” Fluttershy asked nervously.
“It was at first. But, I didn’t let fear stop me from seeing the good in him. He started to fall in love.”
“What about those mystic objects?” Applejack inquired. “Luminaire, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, and Chip.”
Belle went over to the farmer. “When I first met those objects, Applejack, they figured that I was the one to help break the curse off the beast.”
“I heard there was one object that didn’t want that to happen.” Dash indicated.
“Oh yes. Forte the pipe organ. That individual tried to strike sour notes during the holidays.”
“Did the beast deal with Forte?”
“He did. Forte was torn to pieces. That was a shame. I wish I saw the good in Forte. There was none.”
“I guess when it comes to the holidays,” Rarity figured, “Forte acted like the literary character, Ebenezer Scrooge.”
Everybody didn’t know what Rarity was talking about. Belle has an idea about Rarity’s comment. “I get it. Bah, Humbug! Right?”
“Correct, darling.”
Belle and the Rainbooms shared a laugh. Then, Belle went to her bookcase and pulled one of the books. Suddenly, a section swings out, revealing a staircase.
“Wow!” Pinkie yelped. “What’s this?”
“This passage leads to where you’re going next.” Belle answered. “I think you’ll like where you’re going to.”
“What about you, Belle?” Fluttershy asked.
“Once you’re in this passage, I’ll close it up and head back to the castle. With the curse broken, me and my friends have a much better life. Farewell.”
The Rainbooms each waved goodbye to Belle as they walked up the staircase. When the last girl entered, the door closed behind her.
“This has been one crazy trip we’re taking.” Sunset Shimmer said. “After meeting Cinderella, Merida, and Belle, who are we going to meet next?”
“Well,” Twilight was answering, “we’ll find out soon enough.”
A door opens and the Rainbooms walked out. They find themselves in an outside area. Sunset Shimmer realizes something about their outfits. “Hey, guys. We have our regular clothes on.”
Sunset was right. The other girls saw that they have their own clothes on.
“Cool.” Dash cheered. “I can walk around in these.”
“I kind of gotten used to that medieval wardrobe Twilight, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and I were sporting.” Rarity implied.
“Don’t get me wrong, Rarity. Dressing like medieval heroes did feel good. But, there’s nothing like going back to modern times.”
“I have to agree with you there, Dashie.” Twilight Sparkle said.
Soon, the seven friends took a look at their surroundings. It looks like they’re on top of a brick road looking over the mountains. The night sky was sparkling with stars as the full moon shined brightly.
“What a beautiful sight.” Fluttershy cooed.
“It sure is.” Sunset agreed. “Princess Luna would feel right at home, being a princess of the night.”
Applejack pointed out to the floor beneath them. “Did you guys see this road. It feels like we’re walking on a wall.”
“You’re right.” Twilight agreed. “Possibly the Great Wall of China.”
“That’s a good guess.” A deep female voice replied.
Hearing the voice, the girls turned around and saw someone coming. The woman comes to view wearing a deep pink kimono style dress with red and white on the bottom. Her long black hair was flowing in the breeze. The girls are astounded by this woman’s arrival.
“Oh my.” Rarity gasped. “It’s Mulan!”
“Mulan?” Rainbow Dash barked. “The warrior princess?”
“You could call me that.” Mulan replied.
Pinkie rushed up to Mulan. “Wowee! Are you the maiden who posed as a man to join an honorable army when she realized her father was too sick to fight?”
“You guessed it correctly, Pinkie Pie.” Mulan answered. “Sounds like someone learned about my legendary story.”
“Wasn’t there a true story about you that originally came from China?” Applejack wondered.
“I believe you’re right, Applejack. And also, where you seven are is like the Great Wall of China. As your brainy friend, Twilight Sparkle, figured.”
Hearing her name, Twilight blushed.
“Looks like Mulan appreciates your intellect.” Rainbow Dash commented.
Dash felt a tap on her shoulder. She turns around and sees Mulan looking at her.
“And, I appreciate your sense of adventure, Rainbow Dash.” Mulan stated.
“Thanks, Mulan.” Dash replied. “Is everything okay with your family?”
“It’s all good. After the defeat of the Huns, my father and the emperor of China were both proud of me.”
“I guess your father was wrong thinking you bring shame to your family.” Sunset said with confidence.
“I believe you’re right, Sunset Shimmer. Anyone can make a mistake.”
Mulan then turned to the mountain area. “Have a look out there, my friends.”
The girls then turned to look at the mountains.
“What are we looking at,” Twilight wondered, “besides the mountains?”
“You’ll soon find out, Twilight.” Mulan answered.
Suddenly, they saw something in the sky. It was a beautiful fireworks display. The girls were amazed by the colors and the patterns.
“Wow!” Pinkie Pie cheered. “What a fireworks show!”
“You said it, Pinks.” Dash added. “This is awesome!”
“It’s beautiful.” Fluttershy cooed.
When the show was over, everyone was happy they saw the show.
“What was the fireworks for anyway?” Fluttershy asked.
“For a very special occasion, Fluttershy.” Mulan answered. “To celebrate victory against the Huns.”
“Good idea.” Applejack said happily. “It’s a great feeling when those evil soldiers were done in.”
“Indeed.” Rarity agreed. “Those Huns were all going down when their leader, Shan Yu, was destroyed by fireworks.”
“Shan Yu was one of the toughest challenges I ever faced, Rarity.” Mulan informed. “But, all of China saw that I’m not as helpless as many think.”
“Like your father?”
“Exactly.”
Mulan soon went to the front of the line. “Rainbooms, follow me.”
The girls follow Mulan along the brick path. The brick turned to grass as they made their way to a beautiful meadow with benches. Mulan then turned to the girls. “Have a seat, my friends.”
Twilight, Rarity, and Fluttershy sat on one bench. Applejack, Sunset Shimmer, and Rainbow Dash sat on the other. Pinkie was without a seat.
Mulan presented a chair for Pinkie, next to Applejack’s group.
“It’s true. I have had my obstacles.” Mulan stated. “But, I overcome them. I’m sure there were obstacles you girls overcome.”
“You’re right, Mulan.” Twilight Sparkle answered. “One time, we had a pop quiz at our school. I offered to tutor my friends. So that we can pass together.”
“Tell me about it.” Mulan inquired.
Twilight told Mulan her story. “My traditional way of tutoring wasn’t going so well. So, I used other methods, reflecting my friends’ talents.”
“We were all amazed by her methods.” Fluttershy praised.
Twilight continued. “I had Rainbow Dash run tracks while solving problems.”
“I didn’t think that would work.” Dash informed. “But, it worked.”
“I had Fluttershy get help from her animal friends.” Twilight went on. “Rarity sewn her answers on her clothes.”
“That’s right.” Mulan figured. “Rarity is somewhat of a fashion designer.”
“Correct, darling.” Rarity replied as she turns to Twilight. “Proceed, Twilight.”
Twilight went on with her tale. “I play a chess game with Sunset. I use balloons to help Pinkie Pie. And, Applejack made a lighted apple molecule model.”
“Interesting.” Mulan replied. “The results?”
“We all got ready, took the test, and all passed.”
Mulan applauded the story. “Very good, Twilight. That’s very imaginative of you to get your friends ready for that test.”
Twilight Sparkle blushed a little as her friends applauded. Mulan got everyone’s attention. “See that brick shack?”
Everybody saw the shack. Applejack responded. “Yup. We see it.”
“That’s where you have to go next. I have to go. My husband, Shang, is waiting for me.”
“That’s right.” Dash realized. “You and Shang got married some time after Shan Yu was wiped out.”
“That’s right. Farewell, my friends.”
Mulan walks back to the brick path as the Rainbooms see the shack.
“I’m with Pinkie and Fluttershy.” Sunset told everyone. “This does not feel good at all.”
Twilight Sparkle attempted to calm her friends down. “Let’s not get nervous, girls. All we need is a clue to where to go next.”
Rainbow Dash looked out a window, and saw what looks like very long blonde hair. She got her friends’ attention. “How’s this for a clue, Twi?”
Everyone saw the hair Dash saw. They were all surprised to see this.
“Good eyes, Dashie.” Rarity congratulated. “I never noticed that before.”
“Even I can be good sometimes.” Rainbow Dash proudly said.
Applejack looked down to see where the hair went down to. “It doesn’t look like it’s far from the ground. I can see where the hair ends.”
“How do we use that hair?” Pinkie asked.
Applejack climbed out the window, grabbing the hair along the way, and slowly descended down the wall.
“And I thought I was daring.” Dash thought.
“Looks like Applejack is using that hair to climb down the wall,” Twilight figured, “like descending down a mountain.”
“Brilliant!” Rarity exclaimed.
Applejack safely climbed down to the bottom. She then called to her friends. “Come on down, y’all. I’ll be here to support you.”
Rarity was next. Grabbing the long hair, she climbed down slowly. But, she got so nervous, she accidentally let go. Everyone else got scared. Luckily, Applejack was there to catch her.
“I sure was lucky you caught me.” Rarity said with relief.
“You’re lucky I was here in case somebody started to fall.” Applejack replied as she placed Rarity down.
Sunset Shimmer descended next. She had a firm grip as she made it to the ground safely. Pinkie followed, taking care as she went down.
“You okay, Pinkie?” Applejack asked with concern.
“I’m okay.” Pinkie answered. “I got to admit. It was scary.”
Rainbow Dash slowly went down the wall. When she went to the bottom, Sunset helped her down.
“I thought you would zip down fast.” Sunset uttered.
“Not when it comes to climbing down walls or mountains.” Dash informed. “I could’ve gotten hurt.”
“Good point.” Rarity added.
“Hey, guys!” Twilight called. “I’m coming down!”
Twilight Sparkle climbed down slowly. She made it safely.
“The only one left is Fluttershy.” Applejack realized.
“I got this.” Twilight chirped.
Using her magic, Twilight untied the hair and handed it to Fluttershy.
“Tie that hair around you waist!” Twilight called. “And, I’ll help you down.”
Fluttershy was a little unsure about this. But, she tied the hair around the waist and climbed out the window. Twilight then used her magic to levitate Fluttershy down to the ground.
“Thank you, Twilight.” Fluttershy praised as she undid the hair.
“You’re welcome.” Twilight replied as she gave Fluttershy a hug.
As everybody was feeling relieved that the climb was done, the very long hair zipped away and into a forest.
“Where’d that hair go?” Dash asked.
“Who would have hair that long anyway?” Sunset wondered.
Fluttershy soon had a thought. “I think I know who’s hair it was.”
“Really?” Pinkie blurted. “Who?”
Fluttershy gives everyone the answer. “That hair belongs to Rapunzel.”
“There’s more to Rapunzel than that particular adventure, Rarity.” Rainbow Dash protested. “Rapunzel is the main character of a classic fairy tale named after her.”
The seven friends agreed as Fluttershy informs her friends about the maiden. “Let’s not forget that classic phrase. Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair.”
Then, from behind some trees walks a barefoot maiden wearing a purple and pink gown and with very long blonde hair. She spoke to the group. “I’m happy someone remembers that old line.”
“Wow!” Twilight shouted. “It IS Rapunzel.”
Everyone was astounded as Rapunzel approaches them.
“Hi, girls.” Rapunzel greeted. “How did you like that setup I prepared?”
“Very interesting, darling.” Rarity answered. “Why did you set it up anyway?”
“I heard you and your friends participated in fun activities at Camp Everfree, Rarity. Including a climbing wall.”
“And, that’s what gave you the idea?” Dash wondered.
“That’s right, Rainbow Dash.”
Soon, Rapunzel lead the girls through the forest. They were all enjoying the environment.
“I love nature.” Fluttershy cooed. “It’s so beautiful and wide open.”
“I agree, Fluttershy.” Rapunzel replied. “I’m so glad I’m able to walk outside. This is what I call freedom.”
Twilight Sparkle agreed with Rapunzel. “Your first taste of freedom probably came courtesy of the destruction of that phony guardian, Mother Gothel.”
“You’re right about that, Twilight. Mother Gothel kept me in a tower since I was a baby.”
“I heard of that story.” Sunset Shimmer figured. “Gothel kept you because of your long hair that had magic in it. Right?”
“Right, Sunset.” Rapunzel answered. “But, thanks to the help of my new friend, Flynn Rider, I got out of that tower, and enjoyed freedom.”
“I heard Flynn cut that hair to destroy Mother Gothel’s source of eternal life.” Dash realized. “How did you get this hair back?”
“I don’t think you want to know of that story, Rainbow Dash.”
The girls soon stopped by an area near an ocean.
“Beautiful view.” Pinkie cheered.
“I agree, Pinkie Pie.” Rapunzel replied. “I see many things since I left that tower.”
“Must’ve been a lot of things you haven’t seen since you were locked up.” Rainbow Dash wondered.
“I would agree, Rainbow Dash. My parents realized I’m not a little girl. They saw what I can do since I got my long hair back.”
“Hey.” Sunset cheered. “More power to you.”
Rapunzel gave her a sweet hug. “Thanks, Sunset Shimmer.”
Soon, Rapunzel turns to leave. “Time for me to go back home, Rainbooms. But, your adventure continues. Bye.”
With a swift wave, the barefoot princess heads for home. Leaving the girls a little confused.
“I wonder where we go from here.” Twilight Sparkle muttered.
Suddenly, a giant orb of water rises from the ocean. Before the girls could react, the orb enclosed the girls, and pulled them into the ocean.
The orb containing the seven friends went deep underwater. One by one, the girls emerged, each wearing different kinds of wetsuits.
Pinkie Pie came out wearing a solid red shortie. Applejack emerged wearing a deep blue shortie with long sleeves. Rarity came out wearing a teal full length wetsuit with light green stripes. Rainbow Dash has on a sea foam green full length wetsuit with short sleeves and a rainbow across her chest area.
Sunset Shimmer came out wearing a black full length wetsuit. Fluttershy emerged wearing a pink shortie. And Twilight Sparkle wore a magenta full length wetsuit with sky blue stripes. Everyone was amazed.
“Hoo-wee! Look at us!” Applejack yelped. She then realized something wrong. “Is it me or am I talking underwater?”
Rarity noticed this as well. “I’m speaking underwater too.”
“Freaky!” Pinkie Pie gasped. “But, you know, I love it!”
“Pinkie is right.” Twilight noticed. “This is one very interesting experience.”
“But, how can this happen?” Rainbow Dash wondered with concern. “We’re not fish!”
“Or sea ponies.” Sunset Shimmer added.
Just then, they heard the voice of a young girl who sounds like a teenager. “It’s the magic of Atlantica, my friends.”
Soon, a figure came into view. It was a lovely looking mermaid with flowing red hair and a strong looking fish tail.
“Oh my gosh!” Rainbow Dash gasped. “It’s Ariel!”
“Ariel?” Applejack wondered.
“You know, Applejack. The Little Mermaid.”
Rarity swam up to meet the mermaid. “Our pleasure to meet you, Ariel.”
“The pleasure is all mine.” Ariel replied. “How do you like the wetsuits you’re wearing?”
“They are all fashionable, darling. But, I thought we would be transformed fully.”
“Transformed into mermaids to be exact.” Sunset added.
“That would’ve been interesting, Sunset Shimmer.” Ariel responded. “But, my father figured that this would be more suited for you.”
“Your father being King Triton. Right?” Dash asked.
“Right, Rainbow Dash. He worked his magic on all of you so you can breathe underwater.”
Twilight Sparkle was a bit confused. “Why would King Triton do this?”
Ariel comforted the confused bookworm. “So you and your friends can join me, Twilight Sparkle. I am very excited to show you girls around in my world.”
“Maybe a good idea.” Fluttershy figured. “There might be surprises waiting for us here.”
“You might be right, darling.” Rarity replied. “After meeting Cinderella, Merida, Belle, Mulan, and Rapunzel, Ariel might have a lot to show us.”
“That’s the spirit, Rarity.” Ariel cheered as she got everyone ready for a bit of travel. “Girls, follow me!”
Ariel swam off. Twilight Sparkle turned to her friends. “Follow that mermaid!”
The Rainbooms swam behind Ariel. They swam along the ocean seeing many sights. A school of fish came along and past the travelers.
“That’s so cool.” Rainbow Dash cheered.
“If you like something even cooler,” Ariel suggested, “look at this.”
They came up to a sunken ship.
“Oh my.” Fluttershy said shockingly. “Look at this old wreck.”
“It must be hundreds of years old.” Twilight Sparkle wondered.
Sunset came up to the ship’s wheel, and has some fun. “Avast, me harteys. Set sail to find treasure. Arrr!”
Everyone was impressed with Sunset’s acting.
“Bravo!” Rarity chirped. “You’d make an excellent pirate.”
“Thanks, Rarity.” Sunset replied. “Eat your heart out, Captain Hook.”
Ariel approached the girls. “Girls! Below deck, quick!”
The Rainbooms followed Ariel down the hatch. Soon, a shark swam past the ship, and drifted away. The travelers slowly rose up and exited the ship.
“Good call, Ariel.” Twilight said with relief. “I thought that shark was going to make fish food out of us.”
“If I was close to that shark,” Fluttershy uttered, “I would’ve asked him to leave us in peace.”
“I don’t think that shark would listen to reason, Fluttershy.” Ariel suggested. “Besides, there are other things to see down here. Come on.”
The girls followed the Little Mermaid to a large coral reef.
“It’s so beautiful.” Fluttershy gasped. “And, so colorful.”
“Not as colorful as my hair.” Rainbow Dash protested. “But, very close.”
“Do you swim here a lot, Ariel?” Twilight asked.
“When there’s nothing else to do.” Ariel answered. “Me and my little friend, Flounder, like coming to places like this to relax.”
“That’s after a day of singing lessons. Huh?” Applejack wondered.
“You got that right, Applejack. But, Sebastian is a good teacher. Despite how crabby he can be.”
Pinkie Pie saw something in the distance. “Yikes! Multiple tentacles. Plenty of trouble!”
Pinkie swam to hide. Ariel saw that the thing was just an octopus swimming by. She came up to the party girl and calmed her down. “Relax, Pinkie Pie. It was just an octopus.”
“That’s a relief.” Pinkie sighed. “For a moment, I thought it was something else.”
The seven friends were walking along the bayou still wearing their wetsuits.
“These wetsuits are a bit tight outside of the water.” Twilight Sparkle figured.
“I agree.” Rarity replied. “I think it’s at this time we might get a wardrobe change.”
Just then, a strange fog comes into the bayou, and covers the girls. When the fog lifted, they saw that their clothes changed again. Twilight had on a long sleeve white shirt and black pants with suspenders. Applejack has on a red flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and blue overalls with the cuffs rolled up.
Fluttershy has on a short sleeve long green dress with yellow flowers. Pinkie Pie wore a long sleeve yellow shirt, brown vest, and long red skirt that goes just below the knees. Rainbow Dash has on a short sleeve magenta T shirt and white pants.
Rarity has on a pink long sleeve shirt and light blue bib overalls, and Sunset wore a lime green short sleeve T shirt and blue bib overalls with the cuffs rolled up. They all realized they were not wearing shoes.
“We’re all barefoot?” Rarity yelped. “Somehow, I’m comfortable with this.”
“And, I thought you wouldn’t wear anything like this again.” Sunset chuckled.
“I know. I still remember that day I saw Trenderhoof.”
“How cool is this?” Rainbow Dash cheered. “Rarity, Sunset, and Applejack sporting true farm fashion, Pinkie and Fluttershy wearing flowing dresses, and you and I wearing regular pants. Pretty cool. Huh, Twilight?”
“I have one attachment you don’t have, Dashie.” Twilight responded. “I have suspenders.”
“Oops. I forgot.”
Pinkie loves her outfit. “I think this country girl look is cute. What do you think, Fluttershy?”
Then, they heard the voice of an old lady calling to them. “Welcome to the bayou, girls.”
Out of the fog comes a strange looking old woman with a southern accent. “Howdy, my friends.” She straightens her headdress and white dress. “Nice of y’all to drop in.”
“Hi.” Pinkie replied. “And, who might you be?”
“Madame Odie is my name. Knowledge of voodoo is my game.”
“Of course.” Twilight realized. “Voodoo is often practiced in places like New Orleans, Louisiana.”
“Well then.” Rarity greeted. “Pleasure to meet you, Madame Odie.”
“Pleasure is all mine, child.” Odie replied.
Rainbow Dash felt something is wrong. “Are you our guide in this place?”
“I am a guide here in the bayou. But, I’m not YOUR guide, friends.”
Sunset was shocked to hear that. “Then, who IS our guide?”
Then, a deep southern female voice answered the question. “I am.”
Another figure come out from the fog. It’s a beautiful southern woman wearing a green dress that looks like a frog’s lily pad. Applejack recognizes the southern maiden. “Well, I’ll be. It’s Tiana!”
“Tiana?” Fluttershy blurted. “From ‘The Princess and the Frog’?”
“That’s right, Flutters.”
Tiana walks up to meet the Rainbooms. “Hello, my friends. And, welcome to the bayou.”
“I guess that’s where these outfits come in.” Twilight Sparkle states.
“That’s right, Twilight Sparkle. I know this is not what you girls are expecting. But, I figured you might look cute.”
“I like my outfit.” Pinkie Pie chirped. “I look elegant and fun.”
Tiana giggled as she approaches the party girl. “I’m glad you like it, Pinkie Pie.”
Rarity looks at her own outfit and got a bit nervous.
“What’s wrong, Rarity?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“I don’t mind dressing like a farm girl.” Rarity answered. “But, this kind of reminds me of that... um....”
“Embarrassing day when you meet that young man: Trenderhoof.” Tiana finished. “Still upset about that, Rarity?”
“Well, yes. A little.”
Tiana calmed her down. “You don’t have to worry, Rarity. At least you lived and learned. Besides, you look nice in bib overalls. Your friends, Applejack and Sunset Shimmer, look good too.”
“Thanks, Tiana.” Sunset praised.
“Ladies, come with me.”
The Rainbooms follow Tiana and Madam Odie down the bayou until they see something unbelievable. It was a riverboat. And, it looks like it’s ready to set sail.
“Wow!” Twilight shouted. “Talk about a piece of history.”
“Looks like someone is geeking out.” Dash snickered.
Tiana tapped on her shoulder. “Don’t knock it, Rainbow Dash. Many people love to see a sight like this.”
“All aboard!” Madam Odie called.
Tiana and the girls boarded the riverboat. Then, like magic, the boat started moving. Everyone was astounded by the movement.
“Oh my.” Fluttershy uttered. “This paddle wheel is strong.”
“Paddle wheels have to be strong, Fluttershy.” Tiana explained. “Especially when taking people down the river.”
Applejack looks at the scenery. “The bayou sure is pretty.”
“Definitely.” Twilight agreed. “This land is very beautiful.”
Tiana came up to the girls. “I’m glad you and Applejack appreciate this land, Twilight Sparkle. Many critters call this land home. Especially frogs.”
“Y’all know that from experience. Right, Tiana?” Applejack wondered.
“You are so right, Applejack.”
Fluttershy got nervous. “I sure hope there’s no sign of the Shadow Man coming back.”
“Shadow Man?” Pinkie asked.
“Yeah. You know, Pinks.” Rainbow Dash replied. “Dr. Facilier.”
“Facilier?” Rarity yelped. “That creep creeps me out!”
Sunset agrees with her. “Good point, Rarity. Dr. Facilier is always ready with his knowledge of voodoo.”
“I wouldn’t worry about Dr. Facilier, Sunset.” Twilight confirmed. “He’s still trapped with those creepy shadows. Or, as he calls them, his 'friends' on the other side.”
“Whew. That’s a relief.”
“Twilight is right, Sunset Shimmer.” Tiana said with happiness. “The Shadow Man tried to deliver. But, when he failed, the shadows made him pay for that, in more ways than one.”
Later, the boat reached a dock as Madam Odie calls out. “Everybody off!”
The girls walked off the boat. Everybody loved the little trip down the bayou.
“Very pleasurable trip.” Rarity cheered. “I feel very refreshed.”
“I think we all are, Rarity.” Twilight added.
“I wish one of us had a harmonica.” Rainbow Dash figured. “It would’ve made this voyage perfect.”
Everybody chuckled as Tiana approached the rainbow haired girl. “I would agree with that, Rainbow Dash. That is a good thought.”
Rainbow Dash blushed. “Thanks, Tiana.”
Tiana pointed to a section of the woods. “Go through those woods, and you’ll see who you’re going to meet next.”
Applejack gave a gentle hug to Tiana. “Thank you for the good time, Tiana.”
“You’re welcome, Applejack.” Tiana replied.
The Rainbooms started to travel as Sunset turns to Tiana. “Say ‘hello’ to Prince Naveen for us.”
“I will. Bye, Rainbooms.”
The girls waved goodbye to Tiana and Madam Odie as their adventure continues.
The girls made their way through the forest. When they came out, they noticed that their clothes changed again.
“Check this out!” Rainbow Dash chirped. “We have our camp clothes on.”
Sunset Shimmer noticed that Rainbow Dash is right. “Yeah. The clothes that we wore when we went to Camp Everfree.”
“That was a good trip.” Twilight figured. “Without Gloriosa Daisy being possessed by Gaia Everfree.”
Fluttershy happily walks around. “I feel at home here.”
“I agree.” Rarity told Fluttershy. “It’s so peaceful around here.”
Applejack noticed something interesting. “Looks like we’re not the only ones enjoying this here environment.”
“What do mean, Applejack?” Pinkie Pie asked.
Applejack pointed to a figure in the woods. “Lookie there.”
Everyone see who Applejack is talking about. The figure is a tall female Indian with long black hair blowing in the wind. She wore a light brown outfit and had a red mark on her right arm.
“Oh my goodness.” Twilight Sparkle yelped. “That’s Pocahontas!”
Twilight’s friends were all surprised to hear the name.
“Pocahontas?” Rainbow yelped. “The Native American princess?”
“I’m not sure if she referred to as a princess.” Twilight explained. “But, she is a real part of American history.”
“Twilight is right.” Sunset realized. “Pocahontas helped a group of settlers when America was still a young country.”
“That’s right, Sunset.” Twilight responded. “Pocahontas helped out early settlers in Virginia in the year 1603 or so. Saved Captain John Smith from being executed by her father, the Powhatan Chief.”
“Oh my.” Fluttershy gasped. “Talk about bravery.”
“Indeed. Thanks to her and her people, the early settlers started to colonize what would be the United States. That’s a great part of history.”
“I think that’s a good thing.” Applejack figured. “I heard there’s more to the story.”
“You’re right, Applejack.” Twilight replied. “Pocahontas went with a group of settlers to their home in England. She hopes to establish peace between her people and the English folks. That mission was accomplished.”
“That’s a great story, Twi.” Pinkie Pie said. “I’m sure Pocahontas loved hearing that story.”
Twilight got confused. “Any reason for saying that?”
“There is. She’s right behind you.”
Twilight turned around and was shocked to see Pocahontas standing with her.
“I’m happy you know your American history, Twilight Sparkle.” Pocahontas said pleasingly. “My father would be proud of you.”
Twilight blushed being praised like that. Pocahontas soon talked to the others. “Hello, friends. It’s good to meet you all.”
“Pleasure to meet you too, Pocahontas.” Rarity replied. “Enjoying the view?”
“I am indeed.” Pocahontas answered. “When I walk through the woods, I feel very relaxed.”
“I agree.” Fluttershy responded. “I’m in tune with nature too.”
Pocahontas walked up to Fluttershy and praised her. “It’s nice that someone shares my feelings for nature, Fluttershy.”
Fluttershy blushed as she and Pocahontas hugged each other. Sunset snickered. “I wonder if John Smith would be jealous of this scene.”
“Sunset!” Applejack yelped. “That wasn’t very nice.”
Pocahontas giggles as she walks up to the farm girl. “No need to be upset, Applejack. John Smith would hug Fluttershy too, knowing she’s a girl of nature.”
Twilight wondered about something. “How did you feel when the settlers started building houses on your land?”
“Not too bad.” Pocahontas answered. “The settlers and my people cooperated with each other. But, for a while, one bad apple tried to spoil that settler bunch. And, I’m sure you know who I’m talking about.”
Rainbow Dash spoke up. “I’ll bet that’s Governor Ratcliffe. And, he had a greedy fixation for gold.”
“Anything for a quick dollar.” Pinkie Pie. “That’s mean!”
“That’s putting it mildly, Pinkie Pie.” Pocahontas replied. “Ratcliffe’s greed started a lot of trouble between the two sides.”
“And, if you hadn’t zipped in to save John Smith,” Sunset stated, “this scuffle would’ve become a bloodbath.”
“I think you may be right, Sunset Shimmer. That fiend, Governor Ratcliffe, likes to cause trouble.”
“I’m glad the settlers decided to have Ratcliffe sent to jail when they returned to England.” Rarity proudly said. “Serves him right!”
Everybody agrees with Rarity. Pocahontas soon lead the girls to another setting. They saw a beautiful waterfall.
“It’s beautiful.” Twilight Sparkle cheered. “This waterfall is amazing.”
Rainbow Dash soon heard a chattering. She turns around and saw Fluttershy cuddling a raccoon.
“Who’s your friend, Flutters?” Dash asked.
Pocahontas saw the raccoon. “Meeko! I see you made a new friend.”
“Meeko?” Fluttershy yelped. “This raccoon is your little friend? I’m so sorry.”
“Don’t be upset, Fluttershy. It’s no surprise that Meeko would come to you. From what I hear, you have a way with animals.”
“Thank you, Pocahontas.” Fluttershy praised. She then hands Meeko the raccoon back to Pocahontas.
“Didn’t you have a second animal friend?” Applejack asked.
“Oh yes.” Pocahontas answered. “Flit, the hummingbird.”
A hummingbird soon landed on Sunset’s shoulder. She looks at the bird. “So, you’re Flit. Huh?”
The hummingbird nodded and flew over to Pocahontas.
“Meeko and Flit love traveling with me.” Pocahontas stated happily. “I enjoy their company.”
Applejack felt very uneasy. “Back on my farm, I had many rough encounters with raccoons. They ain’t as friendly as Meeko.”
“Hmmm.” The Native American muttered. “Sounds like you had a bit of trouble.”
“Luckily for me, my brother, Big Macintosh, has ways to remove them without harming them.”
“Good to know, Applejack.”
Soon, Pocahontas pointed to a path in the woods. “Follow this trail. And, you’ll be at another wooded area.”
“Awww!” Twilight sighed. “I was beginning to enjoy your company.”
“Don’t feel sad, Twilight Sparkle. I have a feeling we’ll meet each other again someday. Farewell.”
Pocahontas soon leaves the area with Meeko and Flit going along with her. As the girls were waving goodbye, a thought came to Pinkie Pie. “We met eight princesses so far. I wonder who we’ll meet next.”
“Good wondering, Pinkie.” Rarity replied. “At this point, anything is possible.”
“Twi,” Sunset Shimmer suggested, “lead the way.”
“Good idea.” Twilight responded “Let’s go.”
Twilight Sparkle leads the others down the path leading to another area of the forest.
After walking for a little bit, the girls stopped to enjoy the atmosphere.
“Don’t you just love the looks of this forest?” Fluttershy asked her friends.
“Indeed, darling.” Rarity answered. “It’s so peaceful out here.”
“I usually like to relax in my apartment.” Sunset added. “But, I like it out here. Kind of reminds me of the trees at Applejack’s home.”
“I was just gonna say that.” Applejack said. “Forests like this DO remind me of Sweet Apple Acres.”
The girls made their way to a clearing. Then, a squirrel came to them.
“Hi, little squirrel.” Pinkie Pie greeted. “Came to say hello?”
Rainbow Dash gave a devious look. “I don’t think squirrels come to say hello to you, Pinks.”
The squirrel came to the group. But, instead of Pinkie, it came to Fluttershy.
“Aw.” Fluttershy cooed. “You’re so adorable.”
Then, a baby deer walked over to the group. Everyone watched as Fluttershy started petting the deer.
“Animals sure come to you.” Sunset figured. “Don’t they, Fluttershy?”
“I can’t help it.” Fluttershy responded. “Sometimes animals come to me because they know I wouldn’t harm them.”
“I see somebody else who’s an animal lover.” Twilight stated.
“Who could that be, Twilight?”
Twilight Sparkle pointed to a wanderer walking their way. It was a sweet woman with short black hair. The lady wore a blue top, a long yellow skirt, flowing red cape, and a red bow on her head.
Fluttershy sees the woman and feels joy inside. “Oh my. It’s Snow White!”
Sunset Shimmer was impressed with this maiden. “Wow. She looks so pretty. Even I think she’s beautiful.”
Just then, a sweet voice answered Sunset’s comment. “Thank you.”
Everyone noticed Snow White standing next to them. Sunset Shimmer was shocked, and was starting to shake.
“No need to panic.” Snow White said to Sunset. “It’s okay for someone like you to think I’m beautiful.”
“I guess I got a little nervous meeting you.” Sunset responded.
“I’m happy to meet new people, Sunset Shimmer.”
Pinkie Pie’s eyes widened. Rainbow Dash turned to the shocked party girl. “If Cinderella, Mulan, Tiana, and those other princesses know who we are, Pinkie, it’s no surprise Snow White does too.”
Snow White then talks to the nature lover. “Hello, Fluttershy.”
“I spotted you talking to the squirrel and baby deer earlier. It’s nice to meet a fellow animal lover.”
Fluttershy breathed in a sigh of relief. “Thank you.”
Applejack started to get nervous. Rarity noticed. “What’s wrong, darling? You’re sweating up a storm.”
“Well, Rarity,” Applejack informed, “being from a farm that grows apples, I’m afraid Snow White may not want to get along with me.”
“Why is that, dear?” Rarity wondered.
“Snow White was almost done in by a poison apple. If she knows about me, she would be very upset.”
“That’s not true, Applejack.” Snow White said as she approached the farm girl. “I know you’re part of a family that has an apple farm.”
“And, that doesn’t bother you?”
“No. I know you and your family grow your apples nice and healthy. But, after what my stepmother tried to do, I haven’t looked at apples the same way again.”
“That would be Queen Grimhilde. Right?” Pinkie Pie asked.
“Queen Grimhilde?” Rainbow Dash yelped. “As in the Evil Queen?”
“That’s her, Dashie.”
“Pinkie Pie is right, Rainbow Dash.” Snow White replied. “The Evil Queen prepared that poison apple after disguising herself as a beggar woman.”
“Why would Queen Grimhilde try to destroy you, Snow White?” Twilight asked.
“Probably she was jealous of me.”
“Why was she jealous anyway?” Sunset Shimmer wondered.
“I can understand why.” Fluttershy answered. “Queen Grimhilde sees that Snow White was prettier than she was.”
“Also,” Twilight Sparkle added, “Snow White is also kind to others and very generous.”
“You’re right, Twilight Sparkle.” Snow White replied. “Being kind and generous is not in the nature of my stepmother.”
“Thank goodness for the seven dwarfs.” Pinkie Pie cheered. “They were there for you.”
“I agree with that.”
The girls walk along the woods with Snow White leading the way.
“Walking through these woods must take you back.” Applejack figured. “Doesn’t it, Snow White.”
“It does, Applejack.” Snow White answered. “It reminds me of the time when the forest animals accompanied me when I got lost.”
“Until you came to the cottage of the seven dwarfs.” Rainbow Dash added.
“You’re right, Rainbow Dash. At first I thought they were orphans. After I cleaned the house and their dishes I fell asleep.”
“I’ll bet Grumpy, Doc, and the rest of them were surprised by the results. And, of you too.”
“They sure were.”
When the travelers came to a clearing, they stopped to rest.
“Those dwarfs work hard in their diamond mine. Don’t they?” Sunset asked.
“They sure do, Sunset.” Snow White. “But, that’s no excuse not to clean up after themselves.”
“Sounds like Snow White reminds me of you, Flutters.” Dash said to Fluttershy.
“Really?” Fluttershy wondered. “Why?”
“She’s sweet and innocent. But, not afraid to stand up for what she believes in.”
Snow White smiled at Rainbow Dash’s comment. “You are correct, Rainbow Dash. Don’t let my gentle nature fool you.”
“Do the dwarfs really wash their hands after coming back from the mine?” Twilight Sparkle asked.
“Yes they do, Twilight.” Snow White answered. “They’re were a little unsure about it at first. Especially Grumpy. But, they got used to it after a while.”
“She’s right, darlings.” Rarity stated. “Many folks should wash their hands after digging in the dirt.”
Snow White applauded Rarity’s comment. Then, Snow White pointed to a field of tall grass.
“Through that field is where you’re going next.” Snow White informed. “It’s a different environment than this. I think you’ll be surprised.”
“After exploring castles, swimming underwater, and going through forests,” Sunset figured, “nothing can surprise us.”
“Don’t be so sure, Sunset Shimmer. Bye.”
With a wave, Snow White heads out, probably back to her own home. This leaves the Rainbooms puzzled.
“Hoo-wee!” Applejack shouted. “Make ya wonder who we’ll meet next.”
“I’m with you, AJ.” Dash replied. “I can hardly wait.”
After going through the woods, the girls find themselves in a different environment. They’re walking on sand instead of grass, they have a view of the ocean, and there are palm trees all around.
“My goodness.” Rarity exclaimed. “It feels like we’re on a tropical beach.”
“Wow!” Pinkie chirped. “This looks like the most fun place we’ve been to so far.”
Sunset suddenly realized that she’s wearing her two piece bikini and a wrap around tropical skirt. “Check this out! We’re wearing our beachwear now.”
The other girls noticed what Sunset is talking about.
“She’s right.” Fluttershy realized. “I have on my regular wetsuit.”
“Now, this is amazing.” Twilight said with joy. “I like a scene like this.”
“I’m with you, Twi.” Applejack replied. “Sunny skies, tropical breezes, decent waves, perfect for surfing.”
“If we had our surfboards, AJ.” Rainbow Dash indicated.
“Oh yeah. That’s right.”
Everyone admired the environment. But, one thing still bothered them.
“We met many princesses throughout this journey.” Rarity informed. “So, who will we meet here?”
Sunset Shimmer figured out the answer to Rarity’s question. “My guess is we’ll eventually meet the tropical princess. Moana.”
“You got a point, Sunset.” Dash added. “Her adventure is in a tropical area like this.”
Pinkie Pie was jumping up and down. “I love that story!”
“You do?” Rarity wondered.
“Yeah. For a while, the ocean was untravelable because of a monstrous beast. But, Moana took it upon herself to correct this problem. So, with help from a magical islander named Maui, she traveled to stop the nightmare.”
“I see what you’re saying, Pinks.” Dash interrupted. “Go on.”
Pinkie Pie continued the story. “Anyway, with a jewel called the Heart of Te Fiti, Moana confronted the lava beast. She saw who that beast really was and placed the jewel in the body of the beast.”
“The monster transformed into it’s real self. Te Fiti herself. She was very grateful to Moana and Maui. Thus, the oceans are safe for traveling once again.”
Everybody loved the story Pinkie told. Pinkie Pie then addressed them. “Pretty good story. Wasn’t it?”
“Good story is right.” Sunset Shimmer replied. “I’m sure Moana liked hearing it too.”
Surprised, Pinkie closed her eyes and turned around. When she opened her eyes again, she saw a tall island woman with wavy black hair and wearing a red top and beige tropical skirt. Turns out to be Moana herself. Pinkie Pie was shocked seeing her. But, happy too.
“I’m happy you know of my adventure, Pinkie Pie.” Moana cheered. “And, you have a good memory of it too.”
Pinkie and Moana embraced each other in a hug.
“Aw.” Fluttershy cooed. “That is so sweet.”
After the hug, Moana went to the other girls. “Hello, travelers. Welcome to my home.”
“Glad to be here, Moana.” Twilight replied. “And, this is a big, beautiful beach.”
“Thank you, Twilight Sparkle. On a beach like this, you have a good view of the ocean.”
The eight maidens look at the ocean with admiration.
“Have things been easier since Te Fiti was back to normal?” Applejack wondered.
“Yes It has.” Moana answered. “Since Maui and I made peace with Te Fiti, our oceans are safe for traveling again.”
“Plenty of boats in the water again.” Rarity stated.
“You’re right, Rarity.”
“How is Maui anyway?” Dash asked.
Moana places her hand on Rainbow’s shoulder. “Don’t worry about Maui, Rainbow Dash. He’s doing well. He’s happy that he has his hook.”
Just then, Applejack felt something pecking at her foot. She looks down and saw it was a chicken. Applejack turns to Moana. “Pardon me, Moana. Is this your chicken?”
Moana saw the chicken and was surprised. “Hei Hei. You mischievous bird.”
Moana picks up her chicken, Hei Hei, and apologizes for the actions of the bird. “I’m sorry, Applejack. Sometimes Hei Hei can be a little naughty.”
“If that bird gave me more trouble,” Applejack indicated, “I would’ve made Sunday dinner out of him!”
Hearing what Applejack said, Hei Hei ran off. The farm girl felt embarrassed. “Whoops. Sorry, Moana.”
Applejack shook a little as Moana comforted her. “I understand what you’re saying. But, Hei Hei is a little sensitive about things like that. There were times my parents wished they roasted him too.”
Applejack and Moana shared a few giggles. Soon, Moana asked for a favor. “I heard that two of you are good at surfing.”
“You bet.” Rainbow Dash responded. “Me and Applejack!”
“Well then. The waves are right for surfing. Show me what you got.”
“Excuse me, Miss Moana.” Fluttershy interrupted. “But, they don’t have their surfboards.”
Just then, Moana went behind a bunch of palm trees, and brought out two surfboards. One orange and one sky blue.
“Not to worry, Fluttershy.” Moana said. “I came prepared.”
Rainbow Dash and Applejack went to their boards, picked them up, and prepared to go.
“Let’s quit hollerin’,” Applejack announced, “and hit the water then.”
Soon, Applejack and Rainbow Dash we’re sitting on their boards. Then, a wave came up, and the two girls road the wave. Everyone on shore were watching them.
“They’re totally amazing.” Twilight cheered.
“I’m with you, Twi.” Sunset agreed.
Moana turned to Fluttershy. “If only your brother, Zephyr Breeze, was a true surfer, Fluttershy.”
Fluttershy’s eyes widened. “You heard of that moment?”
“I sure have.”
Applejack and Rainbow Dash came back to shore. They were excited about their ride.
“Those waves were AWESOME!” Rainbow Dash cheered.
“They sure were.” Applejack agreed. “How did you like our talents, Moana?”
“I love it, Applejack.” Moana answered. “You and Rainbow Dash were both amazing.”
Minutes later, Moana lead the girls to a stone lined road. “Just follow this road to your next destination.”
“Where’s that?” Sunset wondered.
“Trust me, Sunset Shimmer. You and your friends will be happily surprised. Farewell.”
Moana soon made her way down the beach as Sunset turned to her friends. “You heard Moana, girls. Come on.”
The seven friends walked along the stone road, not knowing where they’ll go.
Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the Rainbooms followed the brick road on the beach until they went under an arch. Rarity noticed something different about her clothing.
“My goodness.” Rarity cried. “We have our festival fashions on."
The others noticed that they have on the clothes they wore at the Music Festival.
“Cool.” Sunset cheered. “Sometimes, I miss wearing a leather jacket."
“We’re sure you do.” Rainbow Dash remarked.
“So,” Fluttershy wondered. “Where did we go this time?”
“I’m not sure.” Twilight answered. “Let’s explore.”
The seven friends walked along the path. Soon, they find themselves at an area that looks like a medieval castle. Everyone was astounded.
“Wow!” Pinkie cried. “This is one beautiful castle.”
Sunset pointed to a dark skinned woman wearing a beautiful red dress playing a guitar. The girls were very impressed with this woman’s playing. When the woman was done, the girls started applauding.
The woman in red bowed gracefully as Sunset Shimmer cheered her. “That was great guitar playing. Well done, Princess Elena.”
Fluttershy’s eyes widened when she heard that name. “Elena?”
Rarity then noticed something. “That must mean we’re in the kingdom of Avalor.”
“Avalor?” Rainbow Dash blurted out. “No kidding?”
“You heard correct, Rainbow Dash.” Elena replied. “Welcome to Avalor.”
The girls were all amazed at their surroundings.
“How about this?” Twilight Sparkle said with amazement. “We’ve been to many places throughout this whole trip. But, this is one amazing place.”
Elena gave Twilight a small hug. “I’m glad you appreciate my home, Twilight Sparkle.”
“Thank you. Or, as you would say, gracias.”
“That’s right.” Sunset realized. “Princess Elena is a Latino princess.”
“That’s one way of putting it, Sunset Shimmer.” Elena said. “Ladies, follow me.”
The Rainbooms follow Elena into the castle. The girls walk through the halls as guards all stand proudly. Applejack is amazed. “I guess you don’t take chances with security. Don’t ya?”
“You’re right, Applejack.” Elena answered. “Even with the downfall of the wicked sorceress, Shuriki, there may still be more wicked banditos waiting to cause trouble.”
“Don’t you have allies to help you fight against the bad guys?” Pinkie Pie asked.
“Yes, I do, Pinkie Pie.” Elena answered. “I have good friends and my little sister and grandparents helping me whenever things get rough.”
The girls arrive at a large table where they all sat. Elena addresses the girls. “For now, let’s talk about you. Did I hear that you seven girls are musicians as well.”
“Yes, we are.” Twilight Sparkle answered. “We’re a music group called the Rainbooms. And, our genre of music is a bit different than yours.”
“I heard what you play.” Elena replied. “You girls play a bit of rock and roll to satisfy the soul.”
“That’s right.” Rarity interjected. “We were going to perform at a carnival. But, we had a bit of a problem.”
“And, what was it, Rarity?”
“We never got a chance to.”
“Yeah!” Rainbow Dash added. “A mean woman named Abacus Cinch stopped us before we even began!”
“We left the carnival.” Fluttershy cried. “And, didn’t look back.”
Fluttershy started to tear up as Applejack put her hand on her shoulder. “That moment bothered all of us badly.”
Elena looked at the girls, and feels their pain. “I’d be upset too if I couldn’t play my guitar for anyone.”
“Sounds like you’re passionate about your music as you are with your people.” Twilight figured.
“That’s one way to look at it, Twilight.”
Sunset Shimmer figured out something. “Pardon me, Princess Elena. Did I hear that your grandfather plays a guitar too?”
Elena puts her guitar down and turns to Sunset. “You heard right. Me and my grandfather sometimes play well together. Sometimes, nothing is more important to me than my family.”
“That’s deep.” Fluttershy replied. “Are you still sad that your father and mother are no longer with you?”
“I still feel sad about that, Fluttershy.” Elena answered. “Fortunately, I still have my grandparents and my little sister.” She then turns to Applejack. “Kind of like you, Applejack.”
Applejack got a shock. But, not upset. “You’re right about that. My parents are still remembered by me and my family. My grandma, Granny Smith, and my brother and sister, Big Mac and Apple Bloom.”
“That’s Mac as in Macintosh. Right?”
“How did y’all know that?” Applejack asked surprisingly.
Elena giggled before giving her answer. “Since your family are all apple based, it’s probably obvious.”
Applejack gave out a small giggle. “You got me there.”
Just then, Elena pulls out a long wand with a jewel at the end. Twilight Sparkle recognizes it. “Oh my! That’s the Scepter of Light!”
“Correct.” Elena replied. “After plenty of practice, I figured out how to use this scepter without being drained.”
“I heard about that.” Pinkie Pie realized. “I heard you were asleep for two days.”
“You heard right, Pinkie Pie. That’s why I had to practice. This way, that doesn’t happen again.”
“Because of your dedication,” Rainbow Dash stated, “bye bye, Shuriki!”
Elena nodded and aimed her Scepter of Light down a staircase. “Pathway!”
A blast of light went down the stairway and stopped in front of a door.
“My friends,” Elena announced, “that door will lead you to your next destination.”
“Where are we going, Princess Elena?” Rarity asked.
“You find out, Rarity. Adios.”
Elena walks off as Applejack says goodbye to the princess of Avalor. “Adios, amigo.”
The Rainbooms went down the stairs, and stopped at the door.
“We met so many princesses, and have been to many places.” Fluttershy said. “What’s next?”
Twilight Sparkle opens the door. “Let’s find out.”
When the girls went through the door, they find themselves at what looks like an open air market place.
“Hmmm.” Rarity hummed. “Not a bad place to be.”
“I don’t know, Rarity.” Dash said suspiciously. “Some of these guys look shady.”
“Come on, Dashie.” Sunset smirked. “I don’t see any shady deals. These people are just selling honorable stuff.”
“Sunset is right.” Twilight added. “Blankets, fruit, vegetables. This all looks legit.”
Applejack put her hand on Rainbow’s shoulder. ”Twi is right. Not every salesperson makes crazy deals like the Flim Flam brothers.”
Rainbow Dash sees some of the stalls, and agrees with the other girls. “I guess you’re right. Let’s explore.”
The girls look around the marketplace. They seem to be impressed with the area. Pinkie Pie seemed to be bothered by something.
“Something on your mind, Pinkie?” Fluttershy asked.
“I just wonder who we’ll meet.” Pinkie answered. “We met Cinderella, Merida, Belle, Mulan, Rapunzel, Ariel, Tiana, Pocahontas, Snow White, Moana, and recently, Elena of Avalor.”
“You maybe right. There’s no telling who’s next.”
“I have a feeling I know who we’ll meet.” Twilight figured.
“Really?” Rarity blurted. “Who, darling?”
Suddenly, a mysterious woman wearing a long brown robe arrived, and got their attention.
“Hello, my friends.” The woman greeted. “You seven look like you did some traveling.”
“Yes, we have.” Twilight replied. “We made our way through a castle. Then, a courtyard.”
“Afterwards,” Rarity continued, “we were in a nice library area.”
“Next,” Pinkie Pie added, “we were on top of a wall, and we climbed down a hill.”
Rainbow Dash stepped in. “We went swimming underwater. That was awesome.”
“Next,” Sunset chimed in, “we traveled through a bayou and two forest areas.”
“Then,” Fluttershy added, “we went through a tropical beach which lead to a beautiful castle.”
“Finally, we came here.” Applejack finished. “So, yep. We all did a lot of traveling.”
“Did you girls have fun in your travels?” The woman asked.
“Yeah!” Pinkie chirped. “We sure did!”
“Easy, Pinkie.” Sunset Shimmer said to the excitable party girl. “Take it down a few notches.”
Soon, the mysterious woman gave the girls a surprise. “How would you like to travel a different route. In the sky.”
The seven girls got surprised to hear that.
“In the air?” Twilight blurted. “The only way we could do that is if we were birds!”
“Or pegasi.” Sunset added.
“Not a problem.” The woman replied. “Follow me.”
The woman lead the girls to another area of the market. There, seven small rugs were laid down in front of the girls. The mysterious woman gave the girls some advice. “Just sit.”
The seven girls sat down on the rugs. Some kneeled, some sat cross legged.
“Okay.” Rainbow Dash said skeptically. “What next?”
“Don’t worry, girls.” The woman answered as she sat on her own rug. “You’ll find out.”
Suddenly, the eight rugs started to rise up into the air. Everyone got surprised, except for the mysterious woman.
“Wow!” Pinkie Pie shouted. “This is crazy.”
“Hey, mystery girl.” Sunset Shimmer called out. “What’s this all about?”
The mystery woman removed her robe to reveal a young black haired lady wearing a light blue top and pants, and curved shoes. Everyone was shocked.
Jasmine and her carpet took off with the seven friends right got behind her. All eight girls flew across the sky. It was an exciting experience.
“Yee Haw!” Applejack shouted. “This is great.”
“Wow.” Fluttershy uttered. “I never thought I would ride a magic carpet.”
Sunset Shimmer had a big smile on her face. “Now I know how the Pegasi of Equestria feel. This is a rush!”
“Look down below.” Jasmine suggested.
The girls look down at another village. The people down below were waving to them.
“This is amazing.” Twilight stated.
“I’d like to stand up.” Dash indicated. “And, surf the skies!”
“I wouldn’t do that, Rainbow Dash.” Jasmine warned. “You’re riding a magic carpet. Not a surfboard. A wayward bird might hit you and you’d fall to the ground.”
Rainbow Dash realized that Jasmine was right. “Oh. I didn’t think of that.”
Soon, the fleet of magic carpets landed in a beautiful oasis. After everyone disembarked, Jasmine turned to the girls. “So, girls. How did you like that magic carpet ride?”
“That was awesome!” Dash cheered.
“I find it invigorating.” Rarity added. “Well done.”
“Thank you, Miss Rarity.” Jasmine responded.
Twilight Sparkle approached the desert beauty. “Excuse me, Princess Jasmine. How are you and Aladdin getting along?”
“We’re getting along great, Twilight Sparkle.” Jasmine answered. “We both make sure things go well with our relationship.”
“What about that mischievous monkey?” Fluttershy asked.
“Apu? Don’t worry, Fluttershy. Aladdin and I are making sure Apu doesn’t resurrect his old habits.”
“Better to deal with Apu that Jafar. Right?” Sunset asked.
Jasmine giggled. “I have to agree with you there, Sunset Shimmer. Jafar is very manipulative. I don’t know why my father, the Sultan, made him royal advisor.”
“Jafar is one major creep!” Pinkie Pie shouted.
“He and his nasty parrot, Iago.” Fluttershy added.
“You and Pinkie Pie can rest easily, Fluttershy.” Jasmine assured. “Ever since Jafar was gone, Iago started being a friend to us.”
“That’s a relief.”
Jasmine gathered the carpets and gave the girls advice. “Outside this oasis is a cave. That is where you’re going next.”
“What about these carpets?” Pinkie Pie asked.
“Don’t worry, Pinkie Pie. I have this handled.” Jasmine hopped on her own flying carpet. “Take care.”
Jasmine took off back to her home at Agrabah with the other carpets rolled up and being towed.
“Bye bye, Jasmine.” Applejack called.
Rainbow Dash peeked outside the oasis and saw what Jasmine was talking about. “Hey, guys. Over there!”
They came out and saw the cave. It was big and dark. Fluttershy got nervous. “Oh my. I wonder where that leads to.”
“After everything else we experienced,” Rarity explained, “be ready for anything.”
Following Rarity, the girls ventured into the cave.
As they explore the cave, the girls soon feel a cold breeze blowing all over. They find themselves in what looks like an ice palace. And, their outfits changed again.
“Oh my.” Rarity yelped. “Look at this. I have winter gear on.”
“Hey. We all do.” Rainbow Dash added.
The girls look at the clothes they were wearing. Coats, scarves, hats, boots, and gloves.
“I guess with each area we go into,” Twilight figured, “our clothing adjusts with the environment.”
Sunset Shimmer looked around their current location. “This place may be cold, but it’s beautiful. Makes me wonder.”
“Wonder about what, Sunset?” Pinkie asked.
“In every place we went to so far, we’ve been meeting fascinating princesses. So, what princess would live here?”
Fluttershy figured out an answer. “Maybe not a princess. More likely, a queen.”
“A queen?” Twilight shouted.
“Yes. As in Queen Elsa.”
Everyone was surprised at Fluttershy’s idea.
“Elsa?” Applejack blurted out. “Are you sure, Fluttershy?”
“I’m sure of it.” Fluttershy replied.
Suddenly, they heard a loud roar coming behind them. The girls turned around and saw a giant snowman coming to them. The girls got scared. But, Fluttershy approaches the creature.
The snowman calmly leaves as Fluttershy waves goodbye to him. “Thanks for understanding, Marshmallow. Bye.”
Rainbow Dash walks up to the nature lover. “That’s Marshmallow? I heard about him. But, never thought I’d see him up close and personal.”
Just then, a woman with long braided blonde hair, and wearing a long sparkly blue dress walks in. Sunset Shimmer recognizes her. “Fluttershy is right. It IS Elsa.”
“Pleasure meeting all of you too.” Elsa greeted calmly.
The girls all felt impressed with Elsa’s outfit.
“You look wonderful, darling.” Rarity cooed.
“Thank you, Rarity.” Elsa replied. “I see you and your friends met Marshmallow.”
“We sure did.” Dash responded. “He’s huge!”
“But, very gentle. Your friend, Fluttershy, knows that.”
“Speaking of snowmen,” Twilight wondered, “where’s Olaf?”
“Not to worry, Twilight Sparkle.” Elsa answered. “He spending time with Kristoff and his noble reindeer, Sven.”
Elsa soon lead the girls to another chamber in her old palace. Applejack was a bit confused. “I thought your home is in Arendelle.”
“It is, Applejack.” Elsa replied. “Sometimes, I like to come by here. Marshmallow sometimes feels lonely.”
“What about that giant group of Olaf miniatures, the Snogies?” Dash wondered.
“They’re fun to play with. But, sometimes I come along to be with him. After all, my icy powers created him and Olaf.”
As the girls walk around with Elsa, Pinkie Pie has a thought. “Speaking of loved ones, how’s your sister?”
“Sister?” Rainbow Dash yelped.
“You know, Dashie. Anna.”
Elsa got Pinkie’s attention. “Why don’t you ask her yourself?”
Pinkie turned around and saw another woman. She had brown hair with pigtails, and she wore a light blue shirt, dark brown vest, deep blue long skirt, and brown boots. The woman responded to Pinkie’s question. “Asking about me, Pinkie Pie?”
Pinkie Pie got excited. “Anna!”
Anna and Pinkie hugged each other.
“When did you show up?” Pinkie wondered.
“Only a minute ago.” Anna answered.
Anna walked over to Elsa. The girls are happy to see the sisters together.
“How wonderful to see you together.” Rarity cheered.
“Thank you, Rarity.” Anna replied. “It’s nice for sisters to love and understand each other. Kind of like you and your sister, Sweetie Belle.”
“You know about me and Sweetie Belle?”
“I do. And I also know about Applejack and Apple Bloom.”
Applejack started to blush. “Aw.”
“No need to feel embarrassed.” Elsa comforted. “We know how important family is.”
“Seeing you two together,” Sunset stated, “reminds me of two sisters from where I used to live.”
“You're referring to Princesses Celestia and Luna of Equestria.” Anna figured. “Right, Sunset Shimmer?”
Sunset giggled. “Basically, yeah.”
Everyone had a good laugh. Soon, Twilight Sparkle wanted to know something. “Any more trouble from that deceitful brute, Hans?”
“Twilight is right.” Rainbow Dash agreed. “I can’t believe that man is so charming. But, turned out to be a ruthless fiend!”
Dash started to get mad until Elsa blew a little cold air to get her attention.
“Calm yourself.” Elsa calmly said. “You don’t have to get angry.”
“Elsa is right, Rainbow Dash.” Anna added. “When his superiors learned what a snake Hans is, they punished him properly. He’s still doing hard work in gardens.”
“Serves him right!” Pinkie shouted. “Trying to take over Arendelle after hurting you sisters.”
Elsa gave Pinkie a short hug. “We’re glad you know how we feel, Pinkie Pie.”
Pinkie’s face turned a shade of red, knowing that the sisters appreciate her. “Aw!”
“I think you two are a good combination.” Applejack figured. “Now that you two know each other well.”
“We always knew each other well, Applejack.” Anna explained. “Our love for each other will never be broken, no matter what happens.”
“That’s for sure.” Elsa added.
“Kind of like our love for each other.” Twilight chirped. “Me and all of my friends here care about each other so much.”
“That’s right.” Fluttershy replied. “That how we, as a music troupe, make beautiful music together.”
“Until that witch, Abacus Cinch, crashed your party at that carnival.” Elsa smirked. “Right, Fluttershy?”
Fluttershy felt shocked. “Oh my. That’s right.”
“Don’t worry.” Anna comforted. “You girls can recover from that.”
Elsa went to one the walls of the chamber everyone is in, pushed an ice panel, and a wall section opened. It revealed a passage.
“I’m guessing this is where we part company.” Sunset wondered.
“I’m afraid so, Sunset Shimmer.” Anna replied. “But, it was fun meeting all of you.”
The Rainbooms waved goodbye to Anna and Elsa, then walked into the passage. The seven friends wondered where they’ll be now.
Going through the passage, the girls find themselves in a beautiful castle chamber. They found themselves wearing royal garments. Twilight found herself wearing a lavender long sleeve top and a long deep purple skirt with purple shoes.
Fluttershy was wearing a long lime green short sleeve gown and deep green shoes. Rarity wore a deep blue short sleeve top and long white skirt. Rainbow Dash wore a 3/4 sleeve magenta top and a long skirt designed like a rainbow. Both Rarity and Rainbow Dash wore black shoes.
Pinkie Pie had on a red gown with yellow long sleeves and red shoes. Applejack wore a ruffled yellow short sleeve shirt, orange long skirt and orange shoes. And, Sunset Shimmer wore a orange long sleeve top and long red skirt and yellow shoes.
“Wow!” Pinkie Pie shouted. “Look at us!”
Rainbow Dash was very impressed. “I don’t normally wear stuff like this. But, somehow, I like this.”
“I think we all look beautiful.” Fluttershy figured. “We all look like storybook princesses.”
“Yeah.” Sunset agreed. “Even me.”
Twilight Sparkle got everyone’s attention. “Speaking of princesses, I think there’s one we haven’t met yet.”
“Y’all sure?” Applejack wondered. “If you’re right, which one did we not meet?”
Twilight gave Applejack the answer. “Probably the most charming princess of all. Princess Aurora.”
“Aurora?” Applejack yelped. “As in Sleeping Beauty?”
“I wouldn’t say she’s sleeping now, Applejack.” Rarity replied, as she points behind her farmer friend. “There’s proof.”
Applejack and the others turned around, and saw Princess Aurora. She walks towards the girls in her pink outfit. Everybody stood at attention as she presents herself to them.
“Hello, my friends.” Aurora greeted as she curtsies to them. “I am happy to meet all of you.”
Everybody curtsied back to Aurora, showing their respect.
“It’s our honor to meet you too, Princess Aurora.” Twilight replied.
Aurora then turned to the rainbow haired beauty. “I never thought you would be in an outfit like this, Rainbow Dash.”
“Me neither.” Rainbow Dash responded. “But, I can adjust.”
“That’s wonderful to know.”
Rarity got very impressed. “These princess type outfits are amazing.”
“As a lady of fashion,” Aurora said, “you definitely like the designs.”
“I certainly do, Aurora.”
“She looks good in pink.” Fluttershy whispered to Pinkie Pie. “But, I thought she would wear blue.”
Fluttershy felt a hand on her shoulder. She then saw Aurora next to her. “Coming in pink is my idea, Fluttershy. But, I look lovely in pink or blue. Depending on the mood of my fairy friends.”
“How are Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather?”
“They’re doing fine. Even though they still have their little arguments.”
“I’m very surprised,” Pinkie Pie interrupted, “that Fauna didn’t make your outfit green.”
Aurora chuckled knowing Pinkie is right. “Unlike Flora and Merryweather, Pinkie Pie, Fauna doesn’t get into the whole color changing fight.”
Sunset Shimmer crossed her arms as she hears the conversation. “Better pink or blue than black.”
Rainbow Dash got shocked hearing that statement. “Who would wear black around here? Besides you sometimes.”
“Probably the most dangerous sorceress of all time. Maleficent!”
“I agree.” Rarity added. “That woman has the most powerful dark magic anywhere.”
Twilight Sparkle nodded. “Especially her ability to transform into a vicious fire breathing dragon.”
“I have to agree, Twilight.” Aurora replied. “Maleficent is very dangerous. And, all because she didn’t get an invitation to my birth.”
Applejack wanted to know something. “Do you still go out disguised as the wandering maiden, Briar Rose?”
“Sometimes, Applejack. If I’m in a forest, and I’m doing errands, sometimes it’s best to be in disguise. This way, nobody figures out who I am if they see me.”
“Afraid there may be other bad guys waiting to harm you?” Fluttershy wondered.
“That’s one way of looking at it.”
Walking through a hallway, Aurora leads the Rainbooms to another room. They go in, and saw paintings of themselves.
“Oh my gosh!” Twilight shouted. “I never knew we were being honored.”
“Even my parents know of you ladies.” Aurora explained. “You seven girls had a few good experiences to be remembered.”
“No way!” Rainbow Dash blurted.
“How are we remembered?” Pinkie wondered.
Aurora walked towards the party girl. “Let’s start with you, Pinkie Pie. Working in a diner, you helped out a few patrons when they were feeling down.”
“Wowie!” Pinkie shouted. “I remember that.”
Aurora then went to the nature lover. “Fluttershy, when your friend, Twilight Sparkle, was getting nervous, you had your animal friends to help her relax.”
“That’s true.” Fluttershy replied.
“Talking about helping Twilight,” Aurora said as she heads towards Sunset, “you helped her too, Sunset Shimmer.”
Sunset was caught off guard. “Who me?”
“Yes. Twilight received a strange emoji message from Timber Spruce. And, you helped decipher the message.”
“Oh yeah. I forgot.”
The princess in pink made her way to the farmer girl. “You’re a hard worker, Applejack. And, you are very devoted to your family.”
“Aw.” Applejack cooed as she started to blush. “Thank you kindly.”
“And, Applejack is grateful to you, Rainbow Dash.” Aurora said to the swift girl. “With your amazing speed, you helped build a set for a play when your friend’s hand is hurt.”
“Yeah.” Rainbow Dash agreed. “That was a good moment.”
Aurora then walked to the fashion girl. “Rarity. You are elegant, and very creative. Especially in the clothing department. Your fashion sense is grand.”
Rarity feels very grateful. “That’s so nice of you to say that.”
“And finally,” Aurora continued, “Twilight Sparkle. When all of your magic went haywire, you helped figure out a solution.”
“That’s right.” Twilight realized. “As long as we use our magic in moderation, nothing will go crazy.”
Aurora went to a balcony. And, she pointed to it. “Head out there to that area. You’ll be in for a nice surprise.”
The girls looked out and saw the clearing. Sunset gave the girls a direction. “You heard Aurora, girls. Let’s get going.”
Still in their princess outfits, the seven friends made their way through the castle, and made their way to the clearing Aurora told them about.
“It feels very peaceful out here.” Fluttershy cooed. “I feel very relaxed.”
“I have a strange feeling about this.” Rarity wondered.
Suddenly, torches started lighting up. The torches surrounded the girls. Pinkie Pie panicked. “What’s going on around here?”
“Be ready for anything.” Applejack advised.
Just then, Aurora showed up. The girls were pleasantly surprised.
“Aurora.” Sunset chirped. “We didn’t expect to see you again.”
“Actually,” Aurora indicated, “we wanted to salute you girls.”
“We?” Rainbow Dash blurted out. “You and who else?”
“Probably her fairy friends.” Twilight figured.
“I brought friends all right.” Aurora replied. “But, they’re not Flora, Fauna, nor Merryweather.”
Before the Rainbooms know it, other ladies arrive. Tiana, Belle, Cinderella, and all the other princesses started coming along. All to greet Twilight and her friends.
“Oh my gosh!” Twilight Sparkle shouted. “You’re all here!”
Rainbow Dash spotted someone else. “Hey, guys. Ariel is here too!”
Dash was right. Ariel joins the gathering, wearing her sea foam green dress. The girls are all surprised.
“My goodness.” Rarity blurted out shockingly. “What are all fifteen of you doing here?”
Aurora gave them their answer. “I asked all my friends to come so we can salute you.”
“Salute us?” Rainbow Dash shouted. “Why?”
“Because you seven girls are amazing in your own way. True, you had your problems. But, you shined through them. We appreciate all of you.”
Pocahontas and Mulan approached Twilight.
“You’re first, Twilight Sparkle.” Pocahontas stated. “You have pretty good knowledge of many things.”
“Especially with history.” Mulan added. “That’s quite a brain you have.”
“Aw.” Twilight cooed as she blushed. “Thank you very much.”
“We like your sense of adventure, Rainbow Dash.” Rapunzel said as she and Jasmine approached her. “You’re not afraid to take some risks.”
“Especially when you’re helping your friends.” Jasmine included.
Rainbow Dash was happy with that. “Thanks, Rapunzel. Thanks, Jasmine.”
Anna and Elsa went to Pinkie Pie.
“You’re a lot of fun, Pinkie Pie.” Anna cheered. “Your party planning is always fantastic.”
“I’ll bet your sisters, Limestone, Maud, and Marble would be proud of you.” Elsa said.
“I think you’re right.” Pinkie replied.
Cinderella and Belle went over to Rarity.
“Your a true lady of elegance, Rarity.” Cinderella informed.
“And,” Belle added, “no matter what your wardrobe has, you show class.”
Merida and Moana went up to praise Sunset Shimmer.
“You may have been a brute at the beginning, Sunset Shimmer.” Moana chirped. “But, you’ve become a good friend to these girls.”
“I agree.” Merida added. “You came through well.”
Sunset Shimmer blushed. “Aw. I guess I did.”
“This has been a grand adventure.” Twilight Sparkle said happily. “And, we thank all of you for this amazing experience.”
“You’re welcome.” Aurora replied. “There’s an open passage around the corner. That’s where you have to go next.”
“Okay. Goodbye, princesses. It was nice meeting all of you.”
The girls left for the opening as the princesses waved goodbye to them. Twilight and her friends went through the door. Afterwards, Sunset Shimmer noticed something about her clothes. “Hey, guys I think we have our sleepwear back on.”
The other girls noticed that too.
“That’s right.” Rarity realized. “We were having a sleepover when this adventure began.”
Applejack was very happy about her garment. “Glad to have my nightshirt back on.”
Just then, they were greeted by the strange old woman that welcomed them in the beginning. “Hello, girls. Nice to see you again.”
“It’s that funny woman again.” Pinkie chirped.
Rainbow Dash soon realized who it is. “Now I recognize you. You’re Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother. Aren’t you?”
“Yes I am, Rainbow Dash.” The Fairy Godmother replied. “Good guess.”
“Fairy Godmother?” Pinkie yelped.
Applejack was surprised too. “Miss Bibbity Bobbity Boo herself?”
“That’s correct, Applejack.” The Fairy Godmother answered. “Did you girls like your adventure with the princesses?”
“We sure did.” Rarity answered. “This was one experience we’ll never forget.”
“I’m glad you girls had a magical good time. Now, it’s time for me to send you home.”
“You can do that?” Twilight wondered.
“I certainly can, Twilight Sparkle. Just watch.”
The Fairy Godmother raised her magic wand and uttered her famous phrase. “Bibbity Bobbity Boo!”
Her magic wand helped open a magic door. The girls approached the door, and Rarity recognized the room. “That’s my bedroom.”
“That’s correct, Rarity.” The Fairy Godmother replied. “It’s time for you girls to go home.”
Following the advice, Twilight and her friends go through the door, and find themselves back in Rarity’s room. Soon, the door vanished behind them.
“Wow!” Pinkie Pie yelped. “That was some adventure. Do you think it was real?”
“Well, Pinkie,” Twilight answered, “When magic is involved, it could be real.”
Sunset Shimmer looked at the clock on Rarity’s night table. “It’s 9:35 pm. Wasn’t it 9:35 when we left on this adventure?”
“Sunset is right.” Rainbow Dash agreed. “Seems like time stood still while we were gone.”
Just then, there was a knock on Rarity’s door.
“Who’s that?” Rarity asked.
The door opened, and Rarity’s sister, Sweetie Belle comes in. “It’s just me, Rarity. I just want to remind you that I’m going to Diamond Tiara’s house tomorrow night for our own sleepover.”
“That’s right. You, Scootaloo, and Apple Bloom are joining her and Silver Spoon tomorrow.”
“That right. Good night.”
Sweetie Belle leaves the room. The seven girls get ready for bed.
“Friends,” Twilight Sparkle lectured, “this is one night none of us will forget.”
“You’re right, Twi.” Sunset Shimmer agreed. “Especially meeting all of those princesses.”
The next day, the girls walk around the neighborhood. They see the Canterlot Carnival while walking.
“There’s the carnival.” Pinkie Pie chirped. “Shall we go in?”
“Nah.” Rainbow Dash responded. “After what we went through last night, I don’t think it’s safe to go there.”
“Especially If Abacus Cinch is going to be there.” Sunset added.
“Besides,” Twilight Sparkle informed, “we’re going to the home of Spoiled Rich to watch a movie.”
“That’s right.” Rarity realized. “Spoiled Rich has a new projector she wants to use in her backyard.”
“Like going to a drive in.” Sunset said. “But, without a car.”
Everybody had a small laugh as Applejack asked something to Rainbow Dash. “Are y’all going to be upset if it’s a Disney movie?”
“Nah.” Dash answered. “After what happened last night, I have better respect for those princesses. I can take it.”
So, the Rainbooms made their way to their movie night. Meanwhile, at the carnival, the infamous Abacus Cinch looks around with nasty glee.
“What a beautiful evening.” Abacus Cinch said to herself. “It was lovely last night since I cancelled the concert of the Rainbooms. I’ll bet Twilight Sparkle and her friends cried all night.”
Miss Cinch was then approached by the wandering maiden, Briar Rose.
“Really, Miss Cinch?” Briar said to the mean woman. “That’s what you think.”
Briar Rose left the scene, leaving Abacus Cinch wide eyed and speechless.
