Shut the door. Run. And Hide. That is all Pixel thought and done too survive. Running away from a monster is just like a mixer of hide-and-seek and tag, just that your life is on the line. Pixel ran down the dark corridor and threw open a door leading into another hallway, he was panting like he’s running a marathon. His breath quickened and his hooves pounded harder against the tiled floor.

Pixel skid to a Stop next to an intersection and leaned against the wall, he looked at his watch that was strapped to his wrist. The watch was given to him from his Father as a little colt, the watch was cracked a little but somehow it still worked. 12:46 in the morning the watch read.

Pixel snapped his head up to be engulfed in a white flash.

Pixel awoke cold sweat dripping off his coat. Nightmares, for the fourth time in a week this has happened. Pixel didn’t know why he was scared of just a white flashing light, or if he even is afraid of flashing lights in general. He sat up slowly in his bed and craned his neck to look at his alarm clock, 6:00am. Pixel groaned and got out of his bed. The floorboards creaking underneath his weight. As he made his way downstairs he found his mom sitting at the kitchen counter, sipping a cup of coffee. Pixel's mom, a unicorn, has always woken up early, very early since her father has died. Her father would do the same thing, wake up early in the morning and study the Bible. In case your're wondering, her name is Lightshift.

“Oh... Pixel you're up.” His mom spoke in a whisper, but just enough so Pixel can hear. Pixel moved closer to his mother and sat on a stool next to her. The coffee smelled of peppermint when he got close but he was used to that smell. It was normal to wake up to find his mom sipping peppermint coffee, Pixel normally got a conversation going with Her before he left for school. “Let me quess, another nightmare?”

“Ya... but this time it wasn’t even scary. But it still somehow woke me up. Luckily I didn’t wake up around midnight.” Pixel replied rubbing his eyes, yawning. Pixel's mom nodded and took another sip of her coffee. Silence for another minute before she asked Pixel to get his stuff ready for School. Pixel got up from the counter and went to grab his bag.

“I’m off to school mom!” Pixel called as he stood next to the door, his stuff all gathered up and in his bag. Pixel's mom soon got to say bye, and Pixel walked off to School.
The morning was cold, bitter cold to be honest. While he walked down the road to school he admired the town that he lived in, Ponyville. The scenery was pretty, and even though it’s early in the morning, ponies still were outside beginning their everyday chores. He waved to them as he past and they returned the gesture. Ponyville seemed to be the best place for Pixel, he is sensitive young stallion. Almost anything can upset him or make him mad. That’s why manehatten, where he used to live, was a bad place for Pixel. By the time Pixel reached the Highschool, the sun was up and most of the birds were chirpping. A group of ponies blocked Pixel from entering the Building. Pixel acknowledged the group to let him pass.

“Or what!?” One of them taunted. A Pegasus with a light brown mane and orange coat came up from from behind Pixel and threw off his backpack.

“Seriously... You know I’m taller than you.” Pixel commented, it was true, Pixel was taller than most of the ponies in the group. The Pegasus smerked and join the rest of the laughing group. Pixel took a heavy sigh and picked up his pack, he walked through the group into the School building. ‘Don’t lose your cool now... Pixel...’ he thought to himself entering his classroom.

“Welcome class, let me just get attendance before we start on a new science project.” The teacher explained tapping his clipboard with his pen. Pixel sat in the corner of the room, he liked it there, it was also close to the windows. Pixel tapped his hooves on his desk and hummed a tune. Most of the classroom was chattering about how the spooktacular happing this Friday, which is tomorrow.

“Psst-Hey Pixel!” Somepony called, Pixel turned to see an Earthpony with a Maroon colored mane and an orange coat. Pixel recognized the Pony as Petal Cord, the most popular Earth pony mare in the School. Pixel has always had trouble taking to girls, each time he does he will blush slightly and sputter with his words.

“H-hey Petal Cord...” Pixel replied averting her gaze.

“Are you going to the Spookatcular tomorrow? If you don’t That perfectly understandable.” It wasn’t understandable for Pixel to go to a Social without the proper costume, he can just wear a hat. Pixel fiddled with the question in his mind.

“Sure I’ll go-or be there, I don’t know. I think it will be a surprise if I found out I was already there...”

Petal Cord chuckled to Pixel's comment, Pixel tryed to chuckle as well but nothing came out. Pixel turned towards the paper and pencil that was laid on his desk with his magic, and began to write. Right as he began to write the pencil broke, Pixel sighed and got up from his desk to sharpen his pencil. Almost like it was meant to happen he bumped into a Pegasus, the mare almost went flying into the other row of desks.

“Oh Goodness! I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to!-“

“What the BUCK was that for!?” The mare yelled giving an angry look at Pixel. Pixel tried to explain what happened but the mare stomped away.

‘ This chapters going well... ‘ Pixel though returning to his desk.

The door to Pixel’s house opened as Pixel staggered in. Tiredness tugged at Pixel’s eyes as he laid himself on the couch. His mom was at work and his dad was... also at work, so Pixel was alone at his house until his brother, Talon. The door swung open as a small brown coat and yellow mane Pegasus, with stylish comed hair burst through the door and into the kitchen pantry.

“What’s for snack!? Pixel what did you have for snack!? Did you have a piece of my ca-!“

Talon was interrupted by Pixel shoving a apple in his mouth. Pixel then walked away into his room. He could hear Talons muffled cries as he tried to remove the apple from his mouth. Pixel reached his bedroom and turned on the radio, the sweet sound of heavy metal filled the room. Pixel laid on his bed for a little while before trotting over to his desk, a stack of papers and books mainly filled the desk. The Papers were organized in a neatly fashion and the books labeled by alphabet by their titles. Pixel was always love organizing his work spaces, it clears his mind. Pixel took out a piece of paper and pencil and jotted a few things down. Normally he would write about his day, but he wanted to do something different. Pixel has always resulted to make a new enemy every day at school, his goal is to fix that so that they could be friends with him.

Name: Sunset Cloud

Type of pony: Pegasus

Sex/gender: Mare

Cutie Mark: sun with a cloud under the sun

To Pixel this was gathering information, not spying, Pixel didn’t want to become a peeping Tom, but he need information so that he can assault the situation the next day. Pixel finished his list of information and stuffed the piece of paper into a folder, which was then placed in his drawer.

‘ let’s hope this works... ‘ Pixel thought exiting out of his room. When Pixel reaches down the stairs he saw his brother still struggling with the apple in his mouth. “Use your head, idiot.” Pixel almost laughed as Talon’s muffled a few words. Soon Talon figured it out and chomped the apple, the apple came loose and finally Talon pulled the apple out.

“Your’re Still the idiot...” Talon sighed as he left the room.

Pixel left the house at around 8:00 in the evening just to take a innocent walk around ponyville. As he walked for about a few minutes he was meet by a rainbow, blue coat Pegasus looming over his head.

“Hey Pixel! How’s it going?” Rainbow asked still flying in circles around him.

“Oh... Nothing, just walking around ponyville and not being awesome. Unlike you... Rainow dash, your the awesomeness of Ponyville!” Pixel replied scratching the back of his head. As Rainbow dash chuckled to herself.

“Oh your’re absolutely right!” She commented as she flew away in a bolt of Rainbow crossed the sky. Pixel Rolled his eyes, smiling. He continued to walk around ponyville when something moved in the corner of his eye, he turned to see the school. The school was filled with angel hair, to act as spiderwebs, for the upcoming spooktacular. But something was off about it, where’s the Spider That “made” the web, he found his answer as the spider was upside down on a cloud just above the school. The spide was made out of black thunderstorms that were compacted into shape, it was the most... disturbing and scary thing he saw all day. Working on the cloud spider was a Pegasus he reconized, it was the Pegasus that he accidentally bumped into at school. The Pegasus saw Pixel and landed in front of him, the dust on the ground kicked up as she landed.

“Hey... Your the one that bumped into me and stabbed with a pencil at school!” The Pegasus scolded, Pixel tried to explain again.

“I didn’t stab you-“ Pixel stopped and remembered how she was limping out the classroom door. “Oh. I’m sorry for accidentally stabbing you with my pencil, I didn’t know I even did!” Pixel apologized quickly. The Pegasus stood there for a minute then she finally spoke.

“I know... I know you didn’t mean too, I should be the one who should apologize...”

“Why?”

“For lashing out on you, it’s normally not like me to lash out.” The Pegasus declared giving up another sigh. Pixel looked at her and then at the spider cloud. He smiled and forgave her.

“Oh thanks! That was on my chest all day. My names Sunset Cloud if you don’t know.”

“Oh, I know. By the way... do you need some help with the spider-Cloud?” Pixel suggested, the cloud apparently had no 8th leg. Sunset Cloud gave a slight hmm and the agreed to Pixel’s suggestion.

“Hey can you use your magic to Pull those clouds over here please, just below the torso of the Spider?”

Pixel did what he was told to do and moved the dark clouds closer to the spider. Together, with the intstructions of Sunset Cloud, they finished the spider within an hour. The spider looked ten times scarier because of the final leg, Pixel looked In awe. Sunset cloud seemed to be impressed and finished up the finishing touches. Pixel had a evil Idea, not evil but just so crazy. Using his magic he made the cloud spider move like a real spider move, Sunset Cloud jumped a little bit which gave her a little yelp.

“Oh Crap!! Pixel?? Is that you!” The Pegasus cried. Pixel nodded trying not to laugh. The Pegasus flew down next to Pixel and whispered in his ear. “What do you think?”

“Oh I’ll definitely do it. If it means scaring the entire school! This Spider Cloud will be the best prank.” Pixel said, something moved in the corner of his eye. He turned again to the school.

“What is it, Pixel?” Sunset Cloud asked also peering at the school. Pixel shook his head blindly,

“No... everything’s alright I just though I saw something.” Pixel replied ‘ Hopefully... ‘ he though.

Pixel woke up to the alarm that startled him as it started up. Pressing the button with his magic he got up and popped his back. For some reason the day started off fast. He ate breakfast, got his stuff, and walked to school in only about 15 minutes. This was odd to Pixel. None of his days started out like this, it almost felt it was leading Pixel throughout the day into a specific event. The Spooktacular. The day, even though was going by fast, was good. Pixel’s additude soon brightened throughout the day. By the time school was about to end, time slowed down a bit, upon feeling this Pixel breathed a sigh of relief. All was good, all was right. Pixel walked home with Sunset Cloud that day, well Sunset cloud was flying next to him to be honest.

“So Pixel ready for tonight?” Sunset asked doing miniature flip in the sky. Pixel hesitated for a moment then answered,

“Yeah I’m ready...”

“Hey... whats wrong, you look sad.” She asked lowering down to Pixel’s side.

“Nothing. I just... want to act depressed.”

“Why would you want to do that?” Sunset replied a bewildering look on her face.

“Gotcha, your so gullible.” Pixel said a little chuckle escaping his lips. Sunset cloud nudged Pixel hard, though Pixel was taller than her, she still very strong. As they walked down the road, Pixel could see a little gray shape move towards Pixel in the crowd.

“Pixel!” A little voice cheered! It was Pixel Little sister, Sliverstone. She was an Earthpony, That had a gray coat with cute black glasses and a almost silver mane. “Where have you been?”

“Have I been gone that long. I was just leaving school, apparently they had a school assembly about the spooktacular tonight.” Pixel explained, Silverstone turned to the Pegasus standing next to Pixel, her eyes glittering. “Oh, No...” Pixel sighed expecting the worst.

“What’s your name?” Silverstone asked the Pegasus, Sunset Cloud looked at Pixel, his hoove was over his face, then at his sister.

“My name Is Sunset Cloud.”

“Sunset Cloud... that’s a nice name.” Silverstone continued, “That name is perfect for Pixel!” Pixel got red real fast and started to get embarrassed, and by the looks of it Sunset Cloud was also very embarrassed.

“Wha- no It’s not like that- it’s just that... uh-er... were partners on a project-.” Sunset Cloud sputtered, Pixel told silver stone to go home, it was a bit harsh but there was a good enough reason to get her away. Silverstone laughted loudly as she skipped away.

“Oh goodness I’m sorry, she gets like that when I’m around mares.” Pixel said blushing again.

“Oh I understand.”

6:23, okay only a few more minutes until the spooktacular begins. Pixel and Sunset cloud were behind the bush next to the school, thanks to Pixel the spider Cloud was invisible. A big group of Students were gathered at the door because Pixel also locked the doors. “Okay... so far so good.” Sunset cloud whispered.

“Are you good at acting?” Pixel asked looking at the crowd.

“I was called the drama queen in forth grade, of course I can act.”

“Okay... stick to the plan, and GO!” Sunset Cloud flew off the ground and circled the school careful not to disturb the invisible cloud spider. She called down below to the crowd of ponies,

“Everyone RUN, THERES A GIANT SPIDER ON THE LOOSE!”

The crowd of ponies bagan to laugh but then their faces turned into shock and afriad faces. Pixel disabled the spell and took control of the Spider, he moved the legs to act like it stabbed Sunset Cloud in the heart. According to plan she let out a fake scream as fake blood spilled everywhere. The crowd of ponies gasped and started to scream, some actually started to run away. Sunset Cloud smiled and luaghed loudly,

“WE GOT YOU SO GOOD! Hahaha!”

The crowd gave a “are you serious” look and the. They started to laugh as well, they applauded and some cheered. Pixel teleported on to the roof of the school. Louder applauses erupted as soon as Pixel Teleported onto the roof. He smiled and looked at Sunset Cloud, she was still laughing. He looked down at the crowd and then used his magic to open the door. The crowd went inside the building to party.

“You did good, Pixel.” A new voice sounded, it was Petal Cord. Pixel levitated himself off the roof, and Sunset Cloud floated down silently.

“You should realize that Sunset Cloud made it feel alive, right?” Pixel replied glancing at the Pegasus.

“Oh yes, It was very alive, especially with Sunset cloud as the one who dies... no offense.”

“None taken.” Sunset Cloud explained dumping water, to wash away the fake blood stains, on her head. Pixel turned to the door which was wide open.

“Hey are you guys comming, the party has already started.” Pixel said walking into the school.

*BANG*

Screams came form inside the school as a loud bang sounded. Pixel jumped slightly and looked at Sunset Cloud and Petal cord. They were wearing scared and bewildered faces.

“Come on! We got to help!” Sunset cloud yelled flying into the school building as Petal Cord and Pixel followed.

As they entered the gymnasium, where the party was held, the smell of blood filled the air as more of the screaming grew louder. Pixel saw bodies everywhere, just limp, dead, cold bodies everywhere. Pixel felt something wiz past his ear and he ducked. It felt like a bullet, he looked up at the balcony up there was a pony, a stallion holding an AK-47 on the balcony. He was firing down below into the crowd like a mad pony. Pixel moved and shoved both Petal Cord and Sunset Cloud into a nearby hallway.

“Move now! Get to the cafeteria!” He screamed running down the hallway with The two mares. He burst through the doorway into the cafeteria, a wave of nausea hit Pixel like a brick wall when he saw bloody bodies of Ponies. The ponies in the cafeteria has lost limbs, hooves scattered across the ground and heads of unicorns stuck on the walls. On the wall wrote in blood.

Save Time... Before Time DIEs, walk away from the light into darkness for the ulituamte sacrifice

“I’m going to be sick...” Pixel choked holding his mouth.

The two mares that were franticly fallowing behind stopped at the door to the cafeteria. Pixel only hoped they didn’t see the corpses and limbs everywhere, but not abiding to his wish Sunset Cloud let out a squeal of terror. Pixel covered her mouth with his front hoof silencing her, the Pegasus had tears in her eyes and wanted to scream even louder. Petal cord on the other hoof seemed to not have any reaction, just a sickening look on her face. Petal cord silently walked into the bloody room, careful not to step on the corpses.

“Petal cord! What are you doing!” Pixel hissed loudly fallowing her. Sunset Cloud stood by the door. Petal cord reached a certain position and stopped, looking at the wall with the bloody message on it. Pixel reached her and looked at the wall as well. Something was off about it though. The wall seemed like it wasn’t made out of bricks, and the message looked like it was painted on using a paint brush.

“What do you think it is, Pixel?” Petal cord finally said looking back at where Sunset cloud stood.

“I don’t know... “ Pixel replied touching the wall. The wall felt nothing like brick, it made his hoof burn like it was metal heated up to many degrees. “...Ah!... That burned.”

Out of nowhere Pixel, using his magic, teleported a Pistol into his levitation spell. Petal cord didn’t care that Pixel had a gun, she would have done the same thing if she had a gun. “Who’s gun is that?” Sunset Cloud asked hovering above the corpses to where Pixel was standing.

“It’s my Father’s. He is a police officer in manehatten. He is almost never home and always keeps a spare gun in our house just for emergency’s”

“You think this is an emergency? If it is... I believe so.” Petal cord commented backing away from the wall. A click sound as soon as petal cord backed up a foot. “Uh... what was that!?”

Then the entire room lit up in a bright red flash, the room shook and the wall looked like it was starting to melt. Pixel fell and so did the two mares. They screamed as the entire ceiling fell on them.

Pain stabbed Pixel chest as he woke up. The ceiling he was looking up at seemed to still be intact, but it didn’t look like the cafeteria ceiling. He groaned trying to sit up, it hurt even worse when he called out,

“Petal Cord! Ah!... Sunset Cloud! Are you guys okay...”

There was rustling behind Pixel and a slight cough. “Hak! Yeah... I’m okay...” the voice was Petal Cords. He mentally checked the list in his head that Petal cord is alright. There was cry of pain coming from in front of Pixel, he looked to his side and saw a pile of bricks. He could see Sunset’s tail sticking out of the bricks, panicking Pixel lifted the pile of bricks off her and set them down in the corner of the room. Sunset Cloud laid there for a few seconds before moaning in pain. Her forehead was shown bleeding as she tried to sit-up. Pixel looked around the room hopeing to find medical supplies. To his right sat a bag, he opened it up and found bandages there In the front pocket.

“Ok...Sunset Cloud... this might hurt, but it will keep you from dying...” Pixel stated wrapping the bandage around the head carefully. Sunset Cloud let out tiny yelps and moans here and there but she held up just fine.

“Where do you think we are?” Petal Cord asked looking around the room. The room seemed like the same size of the cafeteria, except there was no furniture, no chairs, no tables, just an empty room. The light in the room was bright like in a science lab. There were glass windows, but they were a bit too hard to see through.

“I don’t know...But it seems... almost familiar to me.” Pixel replied standing up. Pixel scratched his head as he tried to remember what this room reminded him of. Nothing, nothing came to mind. Sunset Cloud fluttered her wings a little to flap around the room.

“This room is so... weirdly, comfortably warm in this situation. There are no air ducts to be seen on the ceiling or on the walls.” Sunset concluded landing next to Petal Cord. Sunset Cloud saw the bag lying in the middle of the floor, and looked inside it. “Is this your bag Pixel?”

“Uh... maybe... oh yah, it is mine. Before we wondered up here I grabbed a bag, don’t know what was in it but I was hopeing for some snacks.”

“Wow! You got the snack part right!” Sunset cloud said pulling out a chocolate chip cookie and eating it. As she was munching down on the cookie, Pixel rolled his eyes and leaned his back against the wall. Another Click could be heard and wall started to shake and move. Pixel jumped away from the wall and watched as the wall reveled a stairway down. The stairwell was dark, pitch black.

“Ooooh. that’s dark,” Pixel stated walking over to the bag. He pulled out a flashlight and tested to see it it works, he then walked to the stairway again and shined the flashlight down. It led to about ten feet before there was darkness again. Petal cord looked down the stairway, with Sunset cloud just behind her.

“What do you think is down there...?” Sunset Cloud asked, Pixel went to get the backpack and strapped it to his back. Petal Cord Merely looked at Pixel before he climbed down the stairs, with Sunset Cloud behind him.

‘I don’t think this feels right...’ Petal cord thought to herself before fallowing them. But before she set hoof on the staircase she turned back, feeling like she was being watched, the room was still empty. She calmed herself down and trecked down the staircase a hint a paranoia in her eyes.

The dark staircase that was reached by Pixel's flashlight seem to give off a Erie sensation, The Mares close behind Pixel gave nervous glances.

“So... Pixel,” Sunset Cloud said breaking the silence, “Why are you using a flash light when you can make your horn glow?”

“Actually it’s quite simple actually, when a unicorn uses magic for the first time, Like a levitation spell. After trying for a little while they start to feel tired...” Sunset Cloud nodded as Pixel continued, “...this is why we practice in using these spells. I know it doesn’t answer the question but there is an entire reason for that two. Remember in Social Studies, the Unicorn and Pegasi war? Well that’s when they figured out when some unicorn uses too much magic in one sitting... they can either kill themselves or go mad at the true power of these spells. Even though the unicorns won, they promised not to use too much magic over hours and hours on end.” Pixel finished gasping for breath.

“That was a long story... it almost took up half the chapter.” Petal Cord commented, Sunset Cloud gave a confused look to Petal cord and Pixel laughted. Soon without warning Pixel tripped and fell down the stairs rolling, he soon landed at the bottom of the stairs.

“Oh that hurt! That is not like the cartoons!” He said popping his back when he stood up. He looked where he landed and found something surpriseing. He was in a bedroom. The bedroom was about the size of a modern kitchen, the walls were painted with a bright blue paint. There were also pictures on the walls but they were a bit to blurry to see. Pixel walked around the room for a bit pulling out his handgun, Sunset Cloud was the one to break the silence when she stepped into the room.

“Wait... is this.. My Room? But... how can we be here?” Sunset Cloud gasped fluttering over to the desk in the corner, she rumaged through the drawer and pulled out a book. Pixel glanced at it but then looked away, it might be her diary. Petal cord trotted around the room looking through the selves that hung over the windowsill. “Dammit guys! Dont look through my stuff!!”

Pixel jerked out of the closet real fast pulling out his handgun. Aiming it at the closet he yelled to the two mares “Get away from the closet!” Sunset Cloud gave a frightened look and backed away from Pixel. Petal cord also backed away as Pixel opened the closet door very slowly. A shrill filled the room as a small white creature jumped at Pixel, Pixel screamed and fired a couple shots at the white creature. Sadly, Pixel missed his target by a inch and the creature jumped on Pixel’s leg bitting him. The mares screeched loudly as the creature soon started to turn it’s target towards them. Pixel, who was crying in pain, shot the handgun again. The creature’s head exploded as a gray goo spilled across the floor, Petal Cord panted heavily as Sunset Cloud burst into tears sobbing. Pixel pounded the floor angerliy as the pain in his hoove intensified, using his magic he quickly bandaged it up.

“What... the Buck.... was that!?!!” Petal Cord yelled trying not to throw up. Pixel shrugged and looked back at the corpse laying on the ground. He recognized the shape of the creature, it was the same shape as a normal pony, the size of it could mean that this creature was a filly. With deeper inspection the filly had a bit of flesh ripped off of it’s hoove and on some parts of the body. Pixel limped closer to the corpse, the closer he got the more details came to notice. The creature wasn’t exactly white, just been grayed for a long period of time. The mane was short but still had color, red strips with orange glow. Pixel looked at it longer and harder before looking at Sunset Cloud and Petal Cord, who were still sitting there in shock.

“Oh... No....NoNonononono!!” Pixel gasped loudly, “Oh my Celestia... What have I done...!!” Pixel was going crazy now, so crazy that Petal cord had to smack his face.

“Well what the hell is that thing!! Tell us if you know!!!” Petal cord yelled, Pixel rubbed his cheek and looked back at the corpse, nearby the corpse was Sunset Cloud who was staring at it. She began to cry loudly, sobbing in her coat as she fell next to the corpse. Pixel hanged his head and turned back to Petal Cord.

“That..That is Sunset Clouds... Younger Brother... Jackhammer. My younger sisters... friend.” Pixel replied solemnly. Petal cord gasped and looked at the corpse again tears in her eyes.

“Oh my... I’m sorry...” Petal cord said backing away slowly. Pixel walked over to Sunset Cloud and patted her back lightly. Reassuring her that things will be alright.

Pixel packed his bags and heaved them onto his back, Pixel had no clue where to go from here but he had a suspicion that the door on the right wall was there way out. The room was dead silent, a few whimpers came from Sunset Cloud. It grew Pixel apprehensive the longer he was in the room, it felt like something was watching him. Pixel opened the door to find another set of stairs leading into the dark. Like the one before. Petal cord saw this and nudged Sunset Cloud to follow but she didn’t move. Petal cord tried again, she still didn’t move. Pixel rolled his eyes and walked to the depressed Pegasus.

“You know that wasn’t Jackhammer...” Pixel sighed “That...thing... it might...look like Jackhammer But it’s not, you know this and so do I...” Pixel paused for a response. Sunset Cloud looked up tears staining her face. “You know things about Jackhammer that I will never know. Right now we are in a spot in another world -that’s my theory- somethings can be different or the same. And for this... this is different. Very Different.

The Stairway down was longer than before. Pixel had too stop every now and then just to make sure he doesn’t fall down the stairs and break his neck. By the time he reached the bottom of the staricase, followed by Petal cord and Sunset Cloud, they saw that they were in another bedroom. The walls were painted with a Pink tint and some posters covered the walls, they too were also blurry and hard to see. Pixel reached for his handgun again looking at the closet.

“This is My Room!” Petal cord yelled pacing around the room seeing if anything has changed. Sunset Cloud, which the entire time walking down the stairs had a blank face, seemed to get curious. “Pixel can you please kill the demon in my closet before hell breaks loose like last chapt - I mean- Time.”

“What do you think I’m doing??” Hissed Pixel opening the door. Nothing was inside. “Huh... look at that, nothings here!”

“So there is no demon?..” Sunset Cloud said weakly, getting a nod of approval from Pixel. Together they searched the room for anything they need. Sunset Cloud stopped in front of the desk in the corner of the room. “Well... when I think about it. Back in my room Upstairs, as a filly I kind-of had nightmares of a monster in my closet. Does that have anything do do with it?”

“Maybe... Hey Petal Cord, since this is your room. Did you ever had nightmares of a monster with you?” Pixel asked looking at Petal Cord

“Not really... well I did have nightmares at a filly but not one that scared me awake, except this one nightmare that scared me awake without anything happening to me.”

“What was it about?” Pixel asked once more looking at the window in the wall.

“I was just in the darkness, no one around. I didn’t even hear anything out of the ordinary. But I had this sensation that somepony was watching me. It scared me half to death that I woke up.” Petal Cord explained pulling at the bed sheets making the bed a bit neater. “When I wake up, I get the sensation that somepony is still watching me.”

Pixel nodded a bit and checked underneath the bed and then the closet once more. “The normal fillies nightmares always use monsters inside of either a closet, underneath a bed, or sometimes out a window.” Pixel commented walking over to the window, he held up his handgun and opened the window. Sunset Cloud screamed loudly and jumped back, Pixel jumped and aimed at the creature in the window. The creature was not like the last one, all it was, was just an eye. The eye had a red iris and looked bloodshot, but worst of all it was just staring straight at the three pony’s. Pixel lowered his gun as Petal Cord walked up to the eye.

“So your the one who gave me night terrors since the first Night! Now that I had found out what you are...” she was yelling now, “...you are going to experience what I have felt for the longest time!!” And with that Petal Cord grabbed the handgun from Pixel and fired. The creature screeched loudly and closed its eyes in pain, Petal Cord shot another bullet into the eye the eye screeched louder with each shot. Pixel ordered Petal Cord to stop but it was no use, Petal Cord was getting her revenge. And liking it.

Pixel had no choice but to hit the gun out of her hoof, with a mighty hit he knocked Petal Cord to the ground, the gun sliding to the side. Sunset Cloud stayed In the corner of the room, frozen in fear. Pixel pinned the Earthpony to the ground, Petal cord tried to wiggle out of Pixel’s grasp but he held firm. Sunset Cloud ran over to the window where the eye, which was still screeching, and shut the window with a bang. Petal Cord went limp in Pixel’s grasp, Pixel removed his hoof in a panic.

“Oh Shit! Petal Cord are you okay?” Pixel gasped leaning his head close to her heart, good the heart was still beating. “Oh thank Celestia!”

“What the hell happened!?” Sunset Cloud asked loudly running over to Petal cord. Pixel shrugged and answered with a grim sigh.

“I don’t know what type of magic that eye was useing, but all I know is that... it can make ponies insane... Wait!... Of Course!”
Pixel replied a huge smile on his face. “The creatures are from our nightmares, that is correct! But we’re missing an important detail here! The monsters are from nightmares, as in dreams. In dreams you can do what ever you want! What if we are ina reality that the nightmares control the pony as in the nightmare creatures are having the dream!” Pixel was getting excited now. Sunset Cloud put a hoof on her chin and replied to Pixel’s theory.

“But, the creature in my closet didn’t have an effect on me.”

“That’s exactly what I’m about to say. The creature - demon - what ever you want to call it, was young. How long ago did you have this nightmare?”

“Now that I think about it... about a few months ago for some reason.”

“Aha! I knew it. The creature in Petal cords dream was just the feeling of being watched, by the eye. I reconize the fact that only night terrors happen at a young age, when your imagination is all over the place...” Pixel spoke fast as he paced around the room, “Petal Cord didn’t have the same dream for a while. Like four to five years, during that time to creature started to get stronger so that when she dreams this nightmare, the creature can minipulate the term of events that makes even when their not awake they feel the same things in there dream.”

“P-Pixel slow down! I can barely hear a word your saying!”

“And THAT is how you figure out what makes ponies in-SANE!” Pixel laughed grabbing his bag, he levitated the sleeping petal cord up and trotted to the door.

“Wait... where are you going?!” Sunset Cloud said flying towards the door. Pixel looked at her with satisfaction in his eyes.

“Probably another bedroom.” He replied running down the stairs.

Pixel basically flew down the stairs jumping or skipping down the stairs to the very bottom. Sunset Cloud flapped her wings a bit harder when Pixel picked up speed. Together they landed in of course another Bedroom. This time the walls were painted with a dark blue paint and there was only one thing on a wall, a poster for a video game. Sunset Cloud looked at it and then at Pixel.

“You like Call of Duty Black Clops III?” She asked, “my brother basically lives that game.”

“I kind of like it, I liked it awhile ago never got the change to take it down. Besides I like it there.” Pixel replied setting Petal cord on the bed against the wall. Pixel than started to look around the room. Pixel looked through his drawers, in his desk, He looked underneath his bed and found nothing. Pixel gave a sigh and opened his closet, there sat a gun, not a handgun but a full fledged rifle. Pixel smiled and picked it up with his magic. He checked if it worked by looking through the magizene, sure enough there was some bullets in it. “Now this... This is a gun.” He said darkly.

“You like guns don’t you?” Sunset Cloud asked looking through his bag for something to eat.

“Oh no I don’t, I love violence that guns can cause, so ya I do like guns.” Pixel said returning to his desk in the corner of the room. He opened the desk drawer once more and lifted up a box. Pixel opened it with his magic and picked a Bailsong Knife with his hoof. “There you are...” he flipped it in his hoof opening the blade.

“You keep a knife in your desk!?” Sunset Cloud gasped after finishing a bottle of water. Pixel nodded and flipped the knife back to seethed postion. “And I thought I was wierd..”

“Well your wrong..” Pixel commented walking towards the radio on the dresser. He flipped the power on and nothing but static erupted. “Ah come on!!” Pixel said angerliy “I thought I was able to listen to Fit For a King while we go through hell toget-“ Pixel stopped when the radio stopped edmitting static and a voice came up.

“Whoever is out there, repeat, whoever is out there please answer over!” The voice said. Pixel looked at Sunset Cloud and then walked over to his bag he pulled out headphones which had a mic sticking out. He quickly plugged it in to the radio and tested the mic.

“Yes we are here. Over.”

“Is this dispatch? Over.”

“Sorry to break it too you but we’re lost. Over”

“Who the hell are you? Over.”

“My name is Pixel and I have two mares with me, Sunset cloud and petal cord. Over.” The voice on the other end went silent, the radio sparked again but this time with a new voice, it sounded feminine.

“This is officer Sunside, reporting to you from an unknown position may I ask what your position is? Over.”

“We think we’re in Hell Sunside. Over”

“You too? Over.”

“Wait your in the same place we are? We didn’t see you at all. Over”

“Did you confront any creatures or many unnatural phenomenon? Over.”

“A few... Over.”

“How did you deal with them? Over.”

Sunset Cloud ripped the mic off Pixels head. “Uh... This is Sunset Cloud and to answer that question... Pixel brought a gun... er-O-Over!”

“Nice to meet you Sunset Cloud, can you please tell us where you are. Over.” Loud static erupted from the radio and then cut off.

Pixel flipped the switch frantically trying to turn it back on but it won’t. They were lost for good.

Pixel slammed the wall with his hoof angerliy. “Dang It! We had ‘em, We Bucking had ‘em!” Pixel lifted his hoof of the wall and sat in his chair at his desk. Sunset Cloud was comforting Petal Cord, who has just waked up, Pixel landed his head on his desk.

“Wh-what? How long have I been out?” Petal Cord asked weakly rubbing her head. Sunset Cloud told her everything that happened in the last half-hour. While this was happening Pixel packed his bag and turned towards the door. Right when he was about to touch the door knob the ground shook, not to hard at first, but soon started to grow stronger. Pixel looked at Petal Cord and Sunset Cloud they both had confused faces. The desk in the corner of the room started to shake and the radio on the desk came alive with static.

“Run!!!” Pixel yelled opening the door knob and running up the stairs, Sunset Cloud and Petal cord followed. The ground was really shaking now, almost like an earthquake it made the walls of the staircase crack and snap. Pixel looked behind him to the the stairway crumbling away. Pixel picked up speed and so did the two mares. They past through Petal Cords room which looked totally different, the walls looked black with rust and signs of water damage can be seen everywhere. They ran up the other set of stairs, the reached Sunset Cloud’s room which looked the same as the last, water damage everywhere. They past this room in a breeze and climbed the last set of stairs, the crumbling madness inching forward faster and faster. Pixel used his magic and lifted the two mares through the door at the top, with his last ounce of strength he jumped out of the staircase and into the vast room where they started. Pixel clutched his chest as he gasped for air, the fact that he just ran a mile just seemed impossible just to accept. Sunset Cloud panted and so did Petal Cord, they looked around the room they just started in and realized some changes. The room seemed brighter than the last time they were there. The Ground was raked with blood and there were corpses along the floor. The room fell silent, not a single noise to be heard. Pixel got up and looked around and pulled out the rifle that was on his back. He could have sweared he saw one of the corpses move.

Chapter 8

Pixel crept closer to the corpse that he just saw move, or so he thinks. He remembered everything his Father taught him about holding and shooting a rifle. He positioned the gun on his right shoulder with his magic and tiled his eye towards the iron sight. Pixel was shaking like crazy, he was scared, nopony would have known otherwise. Petal cord tugged Sunset Cloud away from the corpse that she was inspecting and together they stayed next to the wall about a foot away from where Pixel was standing.

“Hush...Now...Quiet....Now...time...to....lay....your....sleepy....head....hush...now...quiet...now...it’s time.....you go.....to...bed...” Pixel whispered quietly to himself as he pointed the rifle at the top of the corpses head, as he grew closer he could see the head twitching. Small twitches and sometimes big ticks came from the head which made Pixel jump. “Time to go to...BED!”
He yelled firing the rifle at the creature’s head the creature let out a scream and bolted out the place it was laying in. It came around again this time charging at Pixel. He let out a couple more shots, which didn’t miss and hit the monster in the hip and in the hoof. The creature fell, Pixel ran to it and stopped on its head where it exploded and blood poured everywhere. The corpses around the room started to twitch, Pixel realized what he had done.

“Hey Sunset Cloud, Petal Cord i think you need to find higher ground!” Pixel called backing up from the creature staring to rise. Sunset Cloud looked at Petal Cord, and took off the ground with the Earth pony in her hooves. That will buy sometime for their saftey. Pixel faced the upcoming dead and readied his rifle, “don’t shoot ‘till you see the whites of their eyes.” Pixel said to himself, but here is the thing they have no eyes. Pixel opened fire at the closet one that charged at him, the monsters head exploded in a mass of blood as another one charged behind the creatures body at Pixel. The creature tried to land a bite out of Pixel, but Pixel moved away and shot it in the neck. The monster screamed loudly falling to the he ground. Silence once more.

“Are you okay up there?” He yelled looking upward at the Pegasus. Sunset Cloud regained her grip on Petal cord’s coat and nodded. Pixel returned his gaze only to find that some of the remaining corpses have moved. Pixel looked around his rifle high. He looked behind him, and then to his side. Nothing. A Click can be heard behind Pixel, he spun around seeing a giant creature ten times bigger than Pixel. Pixel backed up slowly lowering his gun, he looked up at the creature. The creature had long legs, with more than three heads on its neck. It screeched a terrible screech, without thinking Pixel fired his rifle at it. The bullet hit the creatures head, the creature screamed and swung a hoof at him. Pixel got hit in the stomach and was sent flying into the wall. Pixel screamed loudly and pulled up his rifle again firing rapid fire shots, the shots hit the creature slowly walking towards the angery unicorn. Petal cord was high enough to see the fight from where she was, she screamed trying to guide it’s focus away from Pixel. It didn’t work. Out of the corner of her eye she saw figures moving in from behind the Giant Creature. Sunset Cloud noticed them too and lowered down to get a closer look. There were six ponies wearing protective body amour and helmets, they each carried a rifle, one of them carried a shotgun while one was holding a handgun.

“NOW!” One of them shouted and the six ponies opened fire on the creature. The creature swung its head back towards the group of ponies still firing at the creature. Pixel moved out of the firing zone and pulled up his rifle as well reloading it.

“Crap! I’m out!” Pixel yelled looking through his bag for another magazine. A magazine landed next to him, Pixel looked up to the one of the ponies nodding and returning his or her fire at the creature. He plunged the magazine into the rifle and cocked it. Pixel returned to the fight.

“Petal...Cord I can’t hold on for much longer we have to get to the ground.” Sunset Cloud said through clenched teeth lowering themselves down away from the fight. They landed next to the wall Andy ran to the corner opposite of where the battle was taking place. Pixel ran to them panting.

“Are you two all right... Oh..., Wow.... that really makes you get tired... aw.”

“Yeah we’re all right, don’t worry about us... worry about them!” Sunset Cloud said pointing at the group of six, who were still fighting. Pixel nodded and returned to the fight firing his rifle. Pixel stopped next to a solider who was reloading,

“Are you help?!” Pixel asked firing a couple shots. The pony in the mask lifted the mask which revealed a mare with bright yellow eyes and white coat with a cool blue mane.

“What’s your name Uniocrn!” She asked finisheing reloading her shotgun and firing at the beast.

“Pixel, I’m guessing that your Officer Sunside?”

“Your the pony on the radio? That’s a first. Nevermind all this is a first to me and I guess for you too!”

“You can sa-“ Pixel was cut of when the creature swung a hoof at Pixel slamming him into a wall. Blood dripped down his chin, as he spat blood from his mouth. Pixel pulled his handgun got up and charged at the creatures head. Pixel dodged the hoof once more and jumped on the monsters back climbing his way up to the head, or heads. “YEE-HAW COWBOY, RODEO TIME!” Pixel screamed in a country accent almost being thrown off the creature. Pixel took aim and fired a shot at the monsters beaten down face and the creature screamed and fell. The six ponies stopped firing and watched as it fell along with Pixel, when it hit the ground Pixel smoothly slide of the creatures head and saftley landed on the ground.

“Now that is what I call smooth!” One of the soldiers, a male, said to another soldier. The solider facehoofed and grunted walking away.

Pixel walked over to the two mares who cuddled closely to each other in fear and fright from the fight.

“Please tell me your okay... for the last time... just answer me.” He said leaning against the wall his hooves fiddleing with his butterfly knife.

“We’re fine Pixel...” Petal Cord replied digging through Pixel bag for a drink. Sunside confronted the three ponies and Interduced herself.

“My name is Officer Sunside, and you must be Petal Cord and Sunset Cloud?” She asked, the two mare nodded. “Let me interduce the rest of the group to you. This right here is Daybreak.” She said pointing at the stallion who was inspecting the corpse of the creature. “The Pegasus over there is Winter. And the one drinking over there is Buzzkill.” Pixel Gave a confusing look towards Buzzkill that appearently is drinking a bottle of beer.

“So do you guys have ranks?” Asked Sunset Cloud. Sunside smiled and shook her head.

“We do in the military, but not here. I’m should be Sargent Sunside, but I like being called Officer. Winter over there should be Private Winter, and then there’s Corporal Buzzkill, Daybreak should be Luitennant Daybreak.”

“Who are the other two ponies?” Pixel asked pointing to the other two ponies leaning next to the wall talking to each other.

“Their Caster and Ash. Their twins. The only way we can identify them is their voice, which is why they always wear the masks. So we don’t get them confused with each other.” She looked at Pixel’s bag real quick. “This is what you’ve been using in this hell hole.”

“No. you forgot about the rifle and the handgun.” Petal Cord commented, Pixel chuckled to himself. Pixel stood up straight and popped his back. Sunset cloud cringed at the noise.

“So...where to now?” Pixel asked taking a step. He fell groaning in pain. Petal cord jumped up and walked towards Pixel

“Oh goodness, Pixel did you hurt your leg again?”

“Maybe...” Pixel replied clutching his leg.

“Hey Caster! We need medical attention!” Sunside yelled at the unicorn. He jumped slightly and ran towards them.

“What’s the trouble?” He asked looking at Pixel’s hoof. “Oh wow. That will leave a mark.”

“Is it that bad??” Asked Sunset Cloud giveing a disgusting look.

“Just a broken leg... nothing too serious!” Sunset Cloud held her mouth trying no to throw up, and petal cord screamed at Caster.

“Just a Broken leg?! Nothing too... SERIOUS?! Listen buddy we went through hell and with no injuries except a few scratches and brusies. These creatures have done nothing to us, why do you say that these creatures has hurt Pixel by he broken a bone!”

“Calm Down! Petal Cord!” Sunside yelled. Caster came up with a conclusion.

“We don’t know why these creatures are attacking each of us. But all we know is that these creatures, or monsters as we call them, seem to go after Pixel here first. Based on what I’ve seen.”

“This Chapter seemes to be all dialogue instead of fast action.” Pixel commented, the three ponies looked at Pixel with a confused look. “Never mind what I say it’s usally just comments that normally get me in trouble...”.

“Again all we know is that these creatures are going after Pixel for no apparent reason. It’s most likely that he will be the only one that might get hurt a lot here.” Caster finished useing his magic to make a cast around Pixel’s hoof, Pixel got up steadily and tested his hoof.

“That feels a lot better!” Pixel said testing the cast by walking forward and then backwards, “What did you Put in this cast?”

“Just a simple protection spell, should last longer than a week.” Caster replied, walking towards the Corpse Daybreak was inspecting. Pixel walked by Petal cord and whispered in her ear.

“Doctor’s orders.” Petal cord laughed and quickly shut herself up. Pixel walked over to his rifle on the ground next to where the Creatures corpse was and Picked it up.

“Is that a M-16?” Winter said walking over, looking at the gun. Pixel inspected it nodded. Winter pulled up a rifle but it looked different, almost futuristic. “This right here is an AK-63, made by me and also shot by me. Any questions about shooting lessons? Come ask me.” Pixel hesitated and nodded slowly. Pixel wrapped the gun on his back and pulled the handgun into seethed position.

“Hey... Sunside! You might want to take a look at this!” Daybreak called out. Sunside walked over to where Daybreak was standing and looked at the corpse. The corpse was decaying, knowing that it is dead, but something was off about it. Day break pointed at a spot on the corpse and found something interesting.

“I’ll be Damned!” Sunside gasped, the spot on the corpse was speaking, softly but still able to hear.

“Keep....thy....soul.....keep.....thy.....life......keep thy....Pixel...” the corpse said, When Pixel heard his name he lifted his head towards the corpse. “Keep....running.....from....the.....demons......grasp....keep....thy.....Pixel....safe....”. Daybreak looked at Pixel and then at the corpse. “The....exit....is....not....here.....keep....running....from.....the.....darkness.....find ......the,....light.”
And the corpse fell silent. The group all looked at Pixel.

“Unhhhhh.... Okay.....” Pixel said backing up awakwardly. The corpse just spoke and it taked about Pixel. How weird can this day get?

“Dad? When will Pixel come home?” Whined Silverstone. Talon sat next to his father as he spoke.

“We don’t know, silverstone. He’s just lost... and we are here to find him..” Their dad replied, looking at Talon. He had a depressed face. “We all miss him very much, if I hadn’t cared that Pixel was missing I wouldn’t be here right now. But I want all of us to be strong, including your mom.”

“But what if he doesn’t come back?” Talon asked quietly. With that question their dad gave a sigh.

“I don’t know... but here is the thing, I went and inspected the shooting at the school, we caught the guy who was shooting at the crowd and he said that demons possessed him. I don’t believe nonsense like that. When I went to inspect the bodies everywhere, I couldn’t find Pixel’s. And that gave me strength knowing that Pixel is still alive. Lost but alive.”

Pixel and the others followed Officer sunside, down a darkened corridor. Daybreak held the rear while Caster and Ash held the sides forming a circle around Sunset Cloud, Petal Cord and Pixel. Buzzkill was taking to Ash, while Winter was taking to Pixel.

“Winter? Judging by your knowledge on weapons and bullet accuracy. Are you a weapon specialist? Pixel asked

“Your jugdes are correct, I’m a weapons specialist for the equestrian Protection group. I know the in and outs of a gun so much that you can shot a bullet at me and I will gladly make it miss me with just simple tactics.”

“That’s not true, Winter! I saw you get shot once and needed medical attention before you bled to death!” Caster interrupted, still walking in a measured pace.

“At least I didn’t die!” Winter said once more.

“Your welcome!” Caster yelled. Pixel laughed to himself as the group came to a Stop next to a door. Officer Sunside pulled open the door and ushered the group inside before closing the door. The room They had entered in was a large room with not much light, some guns laid on tables and a computer was hooked up to a Walky talky.

“So... this is the place you stayed, for how long now?” Petal cord asked walking into the room wearily. Ash spoke up first.

“We’ve only been here for about...” He trailed off walking to the computer turning it on. “... about a few days... weeks....” Ash finished backing away from the computer and sitting on the chair. “I think my computer lost count.” Pixel walked to the computer, it had a date on it, all Pixel knew was that it was a week after Nightmare Night. He inspected the computer once more and clicked on the date. Ash came up behind him and watched as Pixel inspected the code. He typed a few letters and numbers and then clicked another source of code and pressed enter. The date changed from November 7, 2017 to December 4, 2017.

“Oh no.... I think we’re declared missing sunset Cloud and petal cord! We’ve been gone for more than a month!” Pixel called. Sunset Cloud gasped and Petal Cord almost fainted. Ash pushed Pixel away and checked the code again. He looked up at officer Sunside and nodded. Pixel ran to Petal cord who wobbled a little bit and collapsed to the ground, Caster Ran up also and said to Pixel.

“I think we need some water!” Daybreak ran to a box and pulled out a water bottle and handed it to Caster. He poured the water into her mouth and waited for a response. Petal Cord gagged and spit up the water sitting up, her eyes wildly looking around.

“stay calm it’s just us... you just passed out,” Caster said patting her back, she inhaled deeply and exhaled smoothly, she repeated this motion a few times before trying to stand up.

“How can this be!? We left base an hour ago! This can’t be right!” Ash said checking the computer again, “Pixel what did you do exactly?” Pixel stood up and walked towards the computer again opening up the code for the computer. And pointed at a single piece of code.

“That right there is the field Stabilization code, it connects everyone like a web, hence the internet. And It filters all the content that gets posted on the internet to where it’s supposed to go, it is controlled by magnetic fields inside the computer. Since this code runs on the magnetic field inside the computer it has to have a sense of time. That’s when the ponies who first created the computer to show time gets corrected and changes, if there is a shift in the balance.” Pixel replied, staring at the code and then some other pieces of code.

“You sure know a lot about computers...” Ash said looking back at the date. “Hey... did that used to be December 4th?” Pixel looked up at the date and saw that it was February 2nd, 2017. Pixel gasped and clicked the code bar again to see the code, the code was changing. Right before their eyes the code is changing. The red code flashed green as numbers and letters arranged into a paragraph of real letters.

The Devils Time is awakening, the one you call real is now fake and what is call3d fake is now real. Leave this safe house or die in the eternal pits of |-|ell. The demon is here. Might as well kill it before it kills you.

Pixel looked around the room pulling out his rifle, Buzzkill did the same and soon everyone except Petal cord and sunset Cloud had a gun out and ready to fire.

“Everyone be alert!” Ash called moving through the room. He past the terminal nearby the weapons table, Pixel followed him double checking anything suspicious. Then the ground moved... it shook with less force, but the ground shook again stronger, reapeating into a rhythmic thump that shook the group. Everypony grew closer together when the stomping and shaking stopped. No pony dared to say anything, not a single sound filled the room. A few minutes past, still silence. Winter was the one to break the silence.

“Ok... think we’re safe-“ he was interrupted as the ceiling of the room tore open, a set of metallic razor sharp teeth can be seen as Winter slammed into the wall. The group dispersed and fled to the corners of the room as the creature lifted its head. The creature was huge... it might take a lot more guns to kill. Caster ran towards Winter and Picked him up with his magic, the creature’s metallic teeth gleamed as it roared a tremendous roar. Caster dropped Winter on the ground, looking closely at Winters wounds his left back hoof was missing and spewing out blood, as he screeched in pain. Pixel then looked up at the creature and the creature looked at Pixel. Pixel jumped away from the group and ran in the middle of the room. This creature wasn’t trying to kill Winter. It was trying to kill Pixel.

Chapter 11

The creatures roar shook the ground as the walls of the rooms began to melt away, like a thick molten mantle. Pixel grabbed his rifle and looked back at the monster. The monster looked at Pixel then the gun, and then back at Pixel. A smile grew on the creature face, as it swung its head back laughing in its demonic voice.

you thought you can destroy me with a gun. Not all adventures are Video games, Pixel! ” The creature started lifting a golden claw picking at its metallic teeth. “Oh! The Sweet, sweet taste of pony tastes so good after eons and years of staying in this damn furnace! I want more!” The demon raised the claw slowly over its head and began a downward swing. Pixel gasped and braced himself for major impact.

BOOM!

Pixel opened his eyes in confusion, the creature slid back a few feet screaming. “How does that feel you Bastard!” Buzzkill screeched, he was holding a grenade launcher, Winter next to him was holding a chaingun while holding himself up against the wall, his hoof still slowly bleeding. Pixel felt joy in his heart, not only seeing that his friends are willing to help him. But seeing a chaingun for his first time was awesome. The creature took some time to get back in position but when it did Buzzkill firied another grenade. The creature screamed wildly swinging a claw at the group. Winter dropped to the ground missing the claw by a foot. Buzzkill however, was whacked into the wall. Pixel ran towards Buzzkill seeing if he was okay, when he got close to Buzzkill, he could tell he was dead, a beer bottle was cracked opened and it Pierced the flesh killing him.

“Oh No! Buzzkill down!” Pixel screamed grabbing the grenade launcher, Caster ran over and made sure he was alive. Unfortunately he wasn’t. Pixel ran towards the creature with Grenade firing again rapidly. The creature screamed backing away. Winter, who was still against the wall, started to fire the chaingun. This bought some time. Pixel ran to Sunset Cloud and Petal cord who were further away from the fight sat. “We have to move... NOW!”

“And Where!? do you think we go!” Officer Sunside screamed over the loud gunfire. Pixel looked around, and the. Looked back at the small group of ponies.

“Daybreak... Ash... would you help us destroy this monster?” Pixel asked, Daybreak sighed and nodded, Ash ran over and grabbed a case it was long and thick, he opened it reveling a Rocket launcher. Pixel smiled.

“But... what about you! Your not going to stay and fight are you??” Petal Cord said tears in her eyes. Pixel nodded solemnly looked at Sunset Cloud who had the same expression.

“Just... Keep them safe, please!” Pixel said to officer Sunside.

“I will...” she replied staying close to the two crying mares. Pixel left the group Andy used his magic to teleport them in a bright flash. Pixel didn’t know where he put them. All he knows is that they are far away from this hell.

“Wh-Where are we!?” Petal cord yelled, the group was in a dark room some light can be seen through the windows on the walls reveling a bedroom.

“Who’s room is this?” Officer Sunside asked. Looking around. Sunset Cloud moved towards the desk in the corner of the room, there on the desk laid a Picture of three ponies. One Pegasus, one unicorn, and one Earthpony.

“When did he take this photo!” Sunset Cloud said quietly inspecting the photo. She turned it around, there were some written notes on the back.

If anything, or anyone sees this photo it means I have made friends and care for them. But this note is not for any pony in particular, it is just a way of keeping my mind in check. This photo represents the time that I made new friends... and lost them. Keep these notes in mind because it might change anyone’s ways of thinking. If I survive then I’ll have a story to tell and write, if I don’t... well... that’s just life.

Sunset Cloud read the notes and wept. Petal cord came over and saw the Picture, and read the notes. Together they both wept.

Pixel screamed as he fired chaingun rapidly at the demon. Something flashed in the corner of his eye, as a rocket zoomed towards the chest of the demon. The demon screamed slamming its metallic teeth into the ground. The ground shook and Pixel fell, the chain gun slipping out of his magic. Caster Picked it up with his magic as he shot the demon from getting closer. A scream from daybreak alerted Pixel, Daybreak was being taken up from the demon. Pixel gasped and teleported onto the demons claws, he flipped his butterfly knife and stabbed the wrist. Daybreak fell out of the demons grip and landed on the ground with a thud. The claw moved almost throwing Pixel off.

get off my arm you B- AHHHHH!” the devil cried clutching its face with the he other claw. Ash jumped up hooves in the air cheering. Pixel smiled and ran up the devils arm onto the shoulder. Blood raked the side of the demons face as another rocket slammed into its stomach, bursting in a pool of blood. Pixel pulled up Winter’s AK-66 and fired at the neck of the demon. The creature spun in a full circle throwing Pixel off. Pixel, using his magic balanced himself in the air still firing the gun. The devil swung its claw on the ground angerliy, making a crater next to Ash. He got knocked to the ground but still fired another Rocket. “NO!

BOOM!!!

The entire demon exploded in a mass of blood and limbs. Pixel levitated himself down to the ground only to get covered by large amounts of blood. Pixel shook his head and tried to wipe the blood off him.

“Aw... this is... so disgusting....” he said walking around. The room looked completely destroyed, the chairs and the computer were missing and most of the walls reveled an empty black nothing. Fire can be seen outside where the demon exploded and was the only light source available. Pixel walked over to where daybreak laid, he was gone... Pixel called out to him but no response, he then called out for the rest of the group, Ash, Winter, Caster. No response. Pixel Ran around the room wildly looking for someone. Pixel came across a pile of debris, to Pixel’s memory this was where Ash stood. He removed the debris and found Ash’s corpse, Then Winter’s, Daybreak’s... Caster’s.... Pixel slowly backed away from the pile of corpse. “No.Nononononononono!” Pixel screeched falling to his knees. He was alone.

Pixel moved out of the room and sat in one of the chairs that survived the fight. He pulled up a rifle and put it next to his chair. Pixel sighed and used his magic to teleport the others back to this room. With a bright flash, Sunset Cloud, Petal cord and officer Sunside stood in the middle of all the destruction.

“What the....” Officer Sunside trailed off, “...Where’s Daybreak? Ash? Winter?... Caster. Where are they?” Pixel lowered his head slowly. Sunside backed up in realization. Petal Cord looked at Pixel and handed him the photo on the desk. Pixel looked up and looked at the photo and read the back of it.

“What does it mean?” Sunset Cloud asked weakly sitting on the ground rubbing her hoof. Pixel turned to the remaining alive Ponies and Smiled.

“What it means? Oh yeah I know what this means!” Pixel stared happily as he trotted out the door, the rest followed. Pixel stopped in the huge room where they all started and looked at each individual wall. “This Photo right here is not just an ordinary photo... it is a capture through space and time, on a piece of paper.” Pixel moved through the room pulling out his flashlight. A trap door sat in the middle of the room. “This must be the way out.”

“Wait... this is all happening so fast.” Sunset Cloud stated, “That photo is us... in another dimension?” Pixel nodded and tried to open the trap door. It was locked.

“Dammit! It needs a key.” Pixel said looking around in his bag. Petal cord was the one to talk next.

“When you teleported us away from the fight, did you know we would end up in a bedroom?”

“Uh... no?”

“I do remember seeing a key on the shelf but it was to high and I though it wasn’t important.”

“I think now it is....” Pixel said, charging his horn to teleport them to the bedroom. Once they were in the bedroom Pixel looked for shelves. Like Petal Cord said it was high on the shelf and thought it wasn’t important. Pixel looked on the shelves that can be easily reached by Pixel his size. A golden key sat in cobwebs, he grabbed it with his magic and teleported back to the trap door. He shoved the key through the key hole, the door clicked and burst open. White light filled the room which blinded the group.

“Uh... Pixel?” Officer Sunside asked.

“Yes?”

“We got company!” She yelled pulling out her shot-gun. Pixel looked behind him and saw rows and rows of dead corpses rising into a massive army. Pixel sighed and pulled up Winter’s AK-66, ready to fire.

You thought you can kill me?! I’m guessing you forgot that I’m the devil, death is my life and the fire of rage always burns! You killed me once... I’ll give you that. But this time... I WILL KILL ALL YOUR FRINEDS AND FAMILY!!” a demonic voice boomed around the room. The massive army of corpses, started to walk. Slowly at first and then faster at each beat of Pixel’s heart. Pixel felt... joy go through his heart... it was unnatural at a time like this, he was scared that he will stay in hell forever. But he had a gun... and that’s all he needed to survive.

“Have at thee! You Bastards!” Pixel screamed.

The first wave of demons charged forward screeching and growling, Officer Sunside fired the first shot at the closet Demon and Pixel afterward fired rapidly. Sunset Cloud and Petal cord moved away from the fight and looked towards the Trapdoor.

“I think we should leave!” Petal cord yelled running over to the Glowing Trapdoor. Petal cord paused and stuck her hoove in the glowing whiteness. It felt strange like a glue substance. She pushed her face through the whiteness and opened her eyes she saw that she was in the cafeteria at their school. The only thing that was different about it was that there were police tapes and warning signs. She ripped her head back when she heard a sickening crack. Pixel smashed the head of the demon with his hoof firing with his magic. Sunset Cloud was flying over the hoard, in hope that they wouldn’t kill her in the air. Petal cord however was in the heat of battle.

“We found the way out we can leave now!” Petal cord screamed to Pixel. Pixel stopped and looked at Sunside who was throwing a genade at the crowd.

“Everyone! GO!” Pixel yelled, Sunset Cloud zoomed through the whiteness and Petal cord along with her. Pixel walked backwards towards the trap door. Officer Sunside did the same.

“AH!— Shit!” She screamed getting takled by a demon. The demon was ripped off her by Pixel and was shot to death.

“Just Go leave now!!” Pixel said leading the hoard away from the trap door, but some of the demons didn’t follow but charged for Officer Sunside. Worst part was that she was in the middle of reloading, the demons took her down and dug under her skin. She screeched loudly as more demons pounced on her ripping organs out of her body, blood spilled everywhere while this act occurred. Pixel gasped and shot down the remaining demons following him, and ran to Sunside.

“Pi-Xel... No... just leave... Ahh..., I got-t you covered!” She gasped struggling with demons killing her. She place a hoove over a strange device that Pixel just saw. “We were- sent —ah... to kill this....H-h-hell!” And pixel knew that that what she was holding... was a bomb. Pixel ran towards the trap door and paused he looked back at officer sunside

“You did great serving out country!” Pixel said tears in his eyes. Officer Sunside smiled through the pain she was experiencing and whispered.

“No... you did.” And with that Pixel jumped through the trapdoor closing it. The demons stopped, just frozen. Officer Sunside looked at her stomach which was ripped open and was missing a few intestines. “So... this is what death feels like...” she said pulling up the bomb to her other hoove, her vision going blurry.

you know a bomb won’t kill the great devil of hell!” the demonic voice boomed again. Sunside laughed weakly.

“At least... I won’t become your servant.” She finished slamming the button to the bomb. Everything was ingulfed in a white flash.

It took a few seconds for Pixel’s vision to eventually focus, he tried to sit up but when he did his head started hurting badly. He was in the cafeteria of his school. Police lines lined the perimeter and bright lights lit up the room in the dark night outside. Slowly looking around he saw that Petal Cord and Sunset Cloud were gone. Ignoring his migraine and shot off the ground and wildly looked around. He limped toward the door and opened it, the hallway of the school was dark, empty of course but very dark. He pulled up the flashlight and aimed downward to watch where he’s going. Turning a corner, the exit of the school can be seen, police cars crowded the entrance and police ponies were taking to each other, one of them was taking to Petal Cord and Sunset Cloud. Good their safe.... Pixel made his way toward the exit. When he came close, one of the police officers noticed him and ran towards the door. Pixel collapsed near the exit, the police ran in and Picked him up with their magic.

“Pixel!” One of the mares screamed running over. One of the police officers head shot up and looked at the collapsed stallion. Pixel was lowered onto his hooves and smiled.

“No need to worry, just a very bad headache....” Pixel replied. The medics came in and more police officers came in to talk to Pixel. One of them, a tall lean Earthpony, slowly walked to Pixel.

“Is it really you, Pixel?” He said. Pixel looked at him and gasped.

“Dad!” Pixel yelled giving him a big hug. “I thought you were in Manehattan.”

“When I heard that you were missing. I just had to come.” Petal cord walked up to Pixel’s dad and intoducted herself, he nodded and returned the favor. “The names firebreak. Good to see your okay.” Sunset Cloud flew Into the air and up and around along the edges of the sky before landing in a perfect landing sequence.

“Ah, it is so good being able to fly again.” She explained lifting off once more heading in the distance. Firebreak Gave a questioning look towards Pixel.

“Oh that’s Sunset Cloud....” Pixel started but was cut off by a shrill cry of joy. Pixel turned slightly to see Silverstone running towards him while Talon flew slowly behind. Silverstone jumped into a loving embrace around Pixel’s chest.

“Your back!” She screamed loudly tears staining Pixel’s white coat. “We missed you so, so much!”. Petal Cord chuckled to herself and started to walk away.

“I think we all have family to see....” she said as she disappeared behind the bulidings of ponyville.

2 weeks later

Pixel yawned awake and cracked his neck. It’s been exactly 2 weeks since the Ending of New beginnings, that’s what Sunset Cloud and petal core agreed to name this event. Pixel even wrote about the journey. He moved out of bed and turned on the radio. A note laid next to the door on his dresser.

Breakfast is downstairs if you need anything. Talon Silverstone and your father are all going to go to my office. Mom.

Pixel rubbed his eyes and ran downstairs, he was hungry. By the time he came down the stairs the doorbell rang. Pixel’s parents has always told him not to open the doors to strangers but this might be an exception. He opened the door which reveled Sunset Cloud.

“Oh, Sunset Cloud! How’s is goin’?” He asked, Sunset Cloud just smiled warmly and asked if she could come in. Pixel nodded and opened the door for her. “It’s just me for a while. My parents are somewhere with my Brother and Sister, you know, Hearts Warming’s Eve, and stuff like that.”

Sunset Cloud chuckled slightly and looked around the house and then back at Pixel. She pulled up a wrapped present from underneath her wings. “It’s for you... for helping us escape hell... I just want to say thank you.” Pixel eyed the present werily, and Picked it up with him magic. He shook it lightly.

“Can I open it now... or wait for Hearts Warming’s Day?” Pixel asked. Sunset Cloud just shrugged and turned toward the door. Pixel opened the present slowly at first. By the time he was finished Unwrapping the present, he smiled. It was a Golden Butterfly Knife with golden prongs which shown brightly. Pixel flipped it open and flipped it closed once more. “How did you get this? Aren’t Butterfly knives illegal?”

“Let’s just say I bought it with a very... Very expensive price tag. You did survive hell, might as well have a reward.” Sunset Cloud replied giving a wink, she left the house. Pixel admired the knife and teleported it to his drawer. Pixel moved around the house silently. Today started off good, this could be a perfect end to a story if it is one. Pixel laughed to that thought, Sunset Cloud has given him a Butterfly knife, how could he return the favor. With that Pixel put on his winter coat on and ran out the house locking the door.

Pixel ran towards Petal Cords house, the ground covered in fresh snow and the wind tugging against his fur only gave him the feeling of happiness and joy. Pixel stopped at the Earthpony’s house and knocked on the door. A few clicks can be heard as the door opened reveling Petal Cord. Pixel smiled and asked if she has already ate breakfast.

“What... Why would you want to know that?” Petal Cord replied looking back into her house.

“I want to invite you and Sunset Cloud to breakfast - my treat.” Pixel said waiting for an answer. Petal cord sighed and nodded her head. “Good I’ll go get Sunset Cloud.”

“Already here idiot!” Called the Pegasus landing next to him. Pixel jumped clutching in chest. That made Petal Cord laugh. Together they made their way towards the best restraunt that sells the best breakfast in all of ponyville, Sugar Sweet Corner. Together they laughed, ate, and had a good time. Now that... is what... I call... a ending to a story. But is it really?
