after a storm things on the apple farm get weird with weird claw marks and other phenomenon
a strange creature appears in Sweet Apple Acres one day and starts a panic after casting what appears to be a spell that cause ponies to see hear things that aren't there with more to come unless they can catch it before it causes any harm but Fluttershy seems to have doubts about this creature intent to harm anypony
It was a nice day, a little damp from a spring shower that happened late last night. Fluttershy was tending to her garden, animals, and various chores around her house.
''Fluttershy, are you here?'' yelled Applejack.
Fluttershy was startled at the sudden appearance of one of her friends, but happy to see Applejack all the same. ''I'm in the garden'', Fluttershy yelled back. Applejack made her way to the garden, in Fluttershy's back yard, to find Fluttershy with a water container in her mouth, watering her cabbage. ''So Applejack, why are you here?'' asked Fluttershy. ''Winona has been barking non-stop since the storm last night. I went to see what she was barking at, but I had no luck finding anything. I thought your special talent might be able to help find out what has her so riled up'', Applejack explained.
''Oh, I see. Give me a second to get ready'', Fluttershy replied. Fluttershy finished watering her garden and made sure all her animals had enough food and water for the day, then Applejack and Fluttershy left for Sweet Apple Acres.
After a while, they made it to the orchard. When the two friends arrived at the orchard, Applejack noticed claw marks on a few of the trees outlining the farm. ''What, in tarnation, happened?'' asked Applejack with a confused, yet angry expression on her face.
''Oh my!'', Fluttershy said while examining the claw marks. "These marks were made by something with 3 claws and it had to have been about a foot taller than most ponies".
''What ever varmint did this is going to pay'' Applejack proclaimed.
''Now, now'', Fluttershy put a hoof around Applejack trying to calm her down. ''It's just following its instincts'', Fluttershy continued. ''It's like getting mad at Twilight for reading'', she pointed out.
''Yeah, I guess you got a point there'', Applejack agreed, reluctantly.
At that moment, a loud cry was made and Winona came whimpering, with fear in her eyes and her tail between her legs. Fluttershy hid behind one of Applejack's trees as Applejack herself, went to comfort Winona. A second Winona followed close behind the original Winona with what seemed to be malicious intent. The copy canine stopped just before Applejack and stared at her. With a flash of light and the sound of a vacuum, the second Winona seemed to have disappeared. The trees around them seem to come alive and began attacking them with the apples from their branches, as if they were throwing them.
''Quick, to the barn!'', Applejack shouted. They bolted in the direction of the barn, dodging apples left and right. It wasn't until they saw Big Mac doing some of his usual chores, in the sea of apples being hailed down upon them, Applejack saw some passing through him. Applejack realized something was up.
''Hold it, Sugarcube'' she said as she held out her hoof and stopped Fluttershy. Fluttershy slammed into Applejack's hoof, knocking the breath out of her. ''Sorry about the hoof, but I don't think these apples are real. I think they are some sort of illusion'', Applejack tried to explain as an apple flew right though her.
''I think we may need Twilight's help with this'', Fluttershy said, trying to catch her breath.''You wanna wait til after this weird spell ends?" Fluttershy asked, to be met with a nod of agreement from Applejack.
After about an hour the spell wore off and the trees stopped hurling apples at the pair.
''Well its about time'', Applejack said, with a smile on her face. Fluttershy was playing with Winona, who was feeling loads braver after being scared like that.
''Oh, is it time to go already?'' Fluttershy asked. Applejack simply nodded and whistled for Winona to come as well. They leave with a single question on there minds, 'what was that thing? Was it a changeling or something?' It was a silent walk all the way to Twilight's castle, with only a bark every now and then from Winona to break the silence.
Fluttershy, Applejack, and Winona made their way to Twilight's castle.
''Where do you think Twilight is, in this place?''Applejack asked.
''5 bits she's in her library''Applejack commented.
''Is that a bet?'' Fluttershy asked, with a slight smirk growing on her face. They head towards the library in a lighter mood than when they had arrived. Twilight is reorganizing her library again when Applejack and Fluttershy come through the door.
''Hey Twi', how's your reading going?'' Applejack questioned, as she nudged one of the books to get Twilight's attention.
''Hello girls, what's up?'' Twilight said, as she put the book Applejack nudged back in its proper place.
''Well there's this critter on the farm with some weird magic, and me and Fluttershy here, thought you could help'', Applejack explained.
''I see. Well, what type of magic did you two witness?'' Twilight asked, her interest having been peaked.
''Well it seemed like Applejack and I were being bombarded with apples being thrown by the trees, only none of the apples hit us and looked as if they passed through us'', Fluttershy said while looking at Winona with a grimace on her face.
''But before that, there was a second Winona'', Applejack chimed in.
''A second Winona?'' Twilight raised a eye brow in disbelief while reaching up to rub her chin. ''And you're sure it wasn't a changeling?"
''I'm pretty sure it wasn't a changeling'', Applejack said, getting a little annoyed.
''Well let's get going then, I'll need to see this magic for myself", Twilight said, walking towards the exit of her library. Applejack rolled her eyes and followed her. Fluttershy and Winona followed shortly behind.
They made their way back to the farm and they go over the story a couple more times, considering Twilight couldn't quite put the pieces together. Once they arrive, the group saw Big mac running in circles with Applebloom standing still, as if she's frozen in fear.
Twilight prepared a spell to break them of their illusions. Her horn glowed and a ball of white light shot and it dispels the illusions that Big mac and Applebloom are under. Upon being released Big mac collapsed from exhaustion and Applebloom runs to Applejack with tears in her eyes.
''Applebloom, what happened? What did you see?'' Applejack asked comforting her younger sister.
''I was on a cliff, my back against a wall, and then I was on a wobbling giant rock that was gonna fall if I moved'', Applebloom cried out, taking a deep breath with every other word.
''We better find this critter before it causes any lasting damages'', Applejack said with anger in her voice, as she tried to calmed Applebloom down.
''Applebloom, did you see what put you in that illusion?'' Twilight asked, putting her hoof to her chin.
''It looked like Winona, but with a deep scarlet surrounding its eyes'', Applebloom revealed, wiping some of the tears from her face.
''Fluttershy, can you ask Winona what she saw?'' Twilight inquired.
"Okay, I'll try'', Fluttershy said leaning down to hear Winona's answer. ''Oh, alright. I see. Well, okay then'' Fluttershy said while taking careful notes of what Winona says.
''Well, what did she say?'',Applejack asked.
''It was tall. It had red hair. It had black fur. Then Winona bit it, which caused it to scream."
''Well that explains that noise we heard just before the attack.'' Applejack said, with a bothered tone.
''Then it threw Winona. After throwing her the monster turned into her, then proceeded to chase her away'', Fluttershy stated. Twilight started pacing around a tree as she thought.
''I've never seen an animal like that before'', Fluttershy said, while petting Winona for the good job.
''I don't think anypony has'', Applejack said, scratching the back of her head at the same time.
A few days pass with no sign of the creature or anything else out of the ordinary, Big Mac is on his way back to the farm after getting the paint and nails. "Big Mac help me" a pair of young Applebloom's shouted while running towards him. Big Mac could only look in aww at what he saw.
"Applebloom whats going on?" Big Mac asked pondering the situation.
"Its the creature from the farm that put us under illusions." one of the Appleblooms say.
"Yeah and its you" said the other one. The two Appleblooms go nose to nose and start bickering much to Big Mac dismay. After a few minutes of this Big Mac decided to stop the fighting by stomping the ground getting both of the Appleblooms attention.
"I'm going to ask one question, who ever answers correctly doesn't get bucked understand?" Big Mac stated in a annoyed but firm tone. Both Appleblooms nodded with fear in there eyes. "good, now what did you get Applejack for her birthday last year?" Big Mac asked ready to buck.
the first Applebloom quickly answered. "Oh I know! this is a easy one, I got her new boots, because her old ones got a hole in them."
"correct." Big Mac looked at the second Applebloom with a nasty look and reared a hoof off the ground. the second Applebloom quickly jumped up before she could get bucked, and with a flash of purple light it reveled its true form. A tall grey and black fox with a long red mane that ended in a ponytail, three claws on its hands and feet with crimson accents around its light blue eyes. After taking a minute to processes what they where looking at, Applebloom ran behind Big Mac who was preparing for a fight.
"Applebloom go get help while i hold it back" Big Mac said, never taking his eyes off his opponent. Applebloom nodded and took off running as fast as she could. The creature got up on to its feet and shouted ZOROARK. It then bolted towards Big Mac full of detetmination. Big Mac braced for impact as Zoroark slammed into him, causing Big Mac to slide back a couple inches. Big Mac quickly retaliated by head butting Zoroark causing it to stagger for a moment. They both recover quickly and start charging each other again.
Applebloom ran as fast as she could think of who could help, "there was Twilight but she is a princess and if she gets hurt that wouldn't be good. Applejack could help but we have to get some apple product's ready for Filth Rich. That's when it came to Applebloom she would go to Fluttershy for help she was good with animal's and that thing looked like a fox and a fox was a animal right?" She gulped and made her way to fluttershy's cottage.
BAM!! Zoroark and Big Mac made another pass at each other neither giving a inch that is until more ponies went to help Big Mac. But instead of running like most ponies would of have expected Zoroark's arms began to glow crimson as he raised them above its head and before anypony could react he slammed his arms down creating a pink and crimson force field that quickly expanded pushing back most of the ponies if not sending them through the air if they happened to be flying at that time.
Applebloom knocked on Fluttershy's door out of breath from all of the running. Fluttershy answered the door "Oh. hello Applebloom why are you here and out of breath?"Fluttershy asked with a confused look on her face.
"Its a animal emergency there's an animal in town attacking and we need your help!" Applebloom explained frantically. Fluttershy nodded as they left with Applebloom leading the way.
Big Mac and Zoroark where starting to show signs of fatigue. each had a advantage over the other zoroark had strange magic on his side. While Big Mac had power and the town folks on his. It was looking fairly even until Zoroark broke out his illusion the only problem with that was it was unable to move when doing so for the most part. with a bright flash of purple light what looked like crystals began to come from the ground and grow around everyone's neck making the ponies think they where trapped.
Applebloom and Fluttershy arrive upon the sight of everyone not moving and looking like they where struggling to move "oh my" Fluttershy said while flying towards the bipedal fox. Zoroark saw the pony fly towards it but it didn't have the energy to put it in a illusion while keeping the rest of the ponies in the illusion.
Fluttershy landed In front of the fox, "there there its alright nopony will hurt you now" She said in a calming voice while cautiously getting closer. Zoroark didn't move mostly cause he couldn't move. Fluttershy kept saying nice calming words as she kept getting closer,eventually Fluttershy was face to face with Zoroark who growled as a last the bit of defense it could he could muster. With some slight hesitation, Fluttershy put her hoof on his head and that act seemed to have calmed the beast, causing him to release the illusion's he held over Big Mac and the town ponies.
After a moment or two everypony realized what Fluttershy had calmed the creature down. seeing how she was petting it while it was laying down with his eyes barley open, before the creature realized it, he had fallen asleep.
"What are you gonna do with it?" Big Mac questioned Fluttershy.
"That's a good question but I think for the time being ill bring him back to my house and later have Twilight come and see just how it can use magic without being a unicorn" Fluttershy said still petting the creature.
"I'll help bring it back your place" Big Mac said before putting the creature on his back to bring it back to Fluttershy's place.
"Thank you Big Mac"Fluttershy blushed a little and with him headed to her place. Once there Big Mac put the black fox on Fluttershy's couch. After a bit of talking Big Mac left and Fluttershy went to finish up her chores.
The next day zoroark woke up on Fluttershy's couch and out of curiosity began looking around smelling the air for any signs of danger or for any food. That battle with Big Mac made him a little peckish. He made his way to the backyard where Fluttershy's garden was and began to eat one of the cabbages. Fluttershy was massaging her bear when she saw Zoroark eating a cabbage
"Oh, no my cabbage" Fluttershy went over to Zoroark. "Um, could you not eat my cabbages please. I mean if you want." Fluttershy said nervously. After finishing the cabbage Zoroark looked at Fluttershy before turning into her. Which naturally would make any pony a little nervous.
"Why did you bring me here?"Zoroark asked with Fluttershy's voice.
"Well I can't just let an animal attack my friends and not keep a eye on it."Fluttershy explain from behind her bear.
"You aren't very brave are you" Zoroark said while looking at Fluttershy curiously.
"And you aren't very nice Mr.fox are you." Fluttershy replied while still behind her bear.
"My name isn't Mr.fox its Zoroark."he said in a bit of a aggravated tone.
"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know"Fluttershy was practically in the bear at this point and the bear at this point had about enough of the Zoroark as he began to growl at him. Zoroark simple ignored the bear and continued his conversation.
"It is okay Ponyta. So what is your name?"Zoroark asked while being nose to nose with Fluttershy.
"um, could you not be in my face please its a little uncomfortable." Fluttershy was sweating bullets at this point. Only at this point did Fluttershy realize that Zoroark was talking."wait you're talking, how are you talking?"
"Same way you are with vocal cords but i can only do so while looking like one of you little ponies"he explained just before getting a hit by the bear with enough force to break the illusion and have Zoroark sent into a tree. Zoroark quickly recovered as he put his claws together in front of his chest and fired what looked like a chain of dark rings. Nopony could react fast enough to stop the rings from hitting the bear knocking him out cold. Zoroark went over to the bear only to be stopped by Fluttershy. "Why did you do that?" Fluttershy asked with tears in her eyes. Zoroark had turned back to looking like Fluttershy before replying "He attacked me first, I was just defending my-" before he could finish he was paralyzed. He quickly looked around, only to see Fluttershy using her stare on him. "Wh-what is this?" Zoroark asked as Fluttershy went inside. While inside Fluttershy made a call to the only pony who could lecture him properly, Twilight. Zoroark struggled to break its paralysis with some mild success, only able to stand up tho.
"Why does everyone keep attacking me? I don't get it, first I end up here after my home was destroyed."Zoroark ranted to himself until a familiar yellow Pegasus and a purple pony showed up. "What do you want!?"Zoroark barked causing the ponies to jump a little.
"Fluttershy told me what happened with harry the bear and I'm here to take you with me for the time being, so I can ask some questions if that's okay with you?" Twilight held a out a hoof in friendship. Zoroark still being paralyzed couldn't except the offer as sparks where visibly arching around Zoroark as he tried to move. Seeing this, Twilight tried to examine him but thanks to his disguise made it difficult to study.
"Could you stop looking like Fluttershy please? Its a little hard to see why you cant move, plus its a little awkward looking at two Fluttershy's." With a sigh Zoroark dropped the illusion. Much to Twilight's surprise at how much bigger he was given his disguise. Twilight, after getting over the initial shock tried to levitate Zoroark to his feet only for nothing to happen. "what the?" she tried again and again and again."Why isn't this working? why can't I lift you with my magic?" Twilight said while rubbing her temples trying to figure it out. Zoroark's paralyses was beginning to where off at this point. With a slight growl Zoroark stood up and began to walk away. he didn't make it far when Twilight teleported in-front of him.
"Where are you going? I know you had a bad day but you can't just leave." Twilight said waving her hoof around trying to exasperate her point. Zoroark looked at Twilight and sighed before using his illusion powers to look like Twilight.
"Bad day, bad day, Try bad week first my home disappears, my pack is no where to be found and I'm getting attacked left and right by you ponyta's and blaming me for defending myself! And as for your quote unquote magic not working, I'm a dark type so psychic moves don't effect me." Zoroark took a deep breath.
"I had no idea ,I'm sorry but I still need you to come with me so I can ask some questions okay?"Twilight said calmly trying not to step on any more eggshells. After a minute of thinking Zoroark nodded and with that They went inside Fluttershy's cottage. Once inside and everypony was sitting down, Twilight started questioning Zoroark While Fluttershy made tea for everypony.
"Where did you come from?"
"Alamos town, me and my pack were there for a contest."
"whats a contest?"
"Its to show off your skills in a show of beauty and power among other things"
"interesting... so how did you end up here."
"I don't want to answer that right now" Zoroark flinched at the memory of the event.
"Tea's ready, who wants some?" Fluttershy came in with the tea and poured a cup for Twilight and Zoroark.
"Thank you Fluttershy." Twilight smiled and took a sip while Zoroark just sat there looking at his cup.
"No, its just, I'm tired and I want to sleep if that's alright?" Zoroark then yawned
"Can I ask you a couple more questions before you go to bed?" Twilight asked with a huge smile on her face.
"Fine, three more questions, understand?" Zoroark said waving his illusionary hoof around.
"understood. first question, what was your pack like? "
"Well there where four of us total I was the body guard so to speak i wasn't the strongest or the fastest but i did my job until the end. There was the leader of the pack Lydia she was a great strategist and really good with numbers. Then there was Braixen she was elegant and stubborn and from my knowledge the first to join the pack. And last was Milotic he looked like a girl much to his dismay and he was the reckless and prideful almost never thinking ahead." Zoroark let out a single tear as the memories came one by one
"From what Fluttershy told me you used some form of magic on harry what did you use.?"
"It's called dark pulse, I have 3 more moves besides that one not including my passive."
"And what are those spells and whats a passive?"Fluttershy chimed in taking a sip of tea.
"That would be four questions, but I'll let it slide, my other moves are night daze, flamethrower and shadow ball. As for my passive, that would be all of the illusions I can do, its mainly for defense purposes. I can change the way I look, but not my physical body so I can look big as Wailord or as small as a Rattata." Zoroark drunk his tea and went to bed much to Twilight's dismay.
"What do you make of him Fluttershy." Twilight asked while finishing her cup of tea.
"He seems nice, though I would be upset too if I lost my friends and family. Plus we didn't treat him too well either."
"I see your point. you think he could stay here for a little bit? At least until we find his 'pack' as he puts it?"
"But I never heard of Alamos town before. or the other creatures he mentioned have you?"
"No, I haven't. It could be in a different country though, so we should start looking tomorrow."
"Agreed. You should head home soon yourself, Spike and Starlight worry about you." Fluttershy grabbed the cups and put them on a tray.
"I know they do, I guess I'll see you tomorrow then Fluttershy." Twilight waved as she left and Fluttershy went to do the dishes and finished up her chores late into the night.
It has been about a week since the arrival of what I assume is a close cousin to the common fox. He goes by the name of Zoroark, and is currently staying at Fluttershy's place. I have frequently visited them over the course of said week in order to get more information about Zoroark. He is a very interesting creature who seems to have a wide array of magical abilities. When I asked about said abilities he stated and I quote.
"It just something I can do along with most of my pack. The "magic", as you put it, is what makes us strong and able to defend ourselves." He seems very loyal to his old pack and speaks very highly of them.
Entry two
Zoroark has made it very clear that he is loyal to Fluttershy since she was nice enough to let him do what he wanted for the most part. And that involves a lot of time in the ever-free forest for apparent training. I asked if I could come and watch he didn't seem to mind as the only reason he even trained in the Ever-free was to not spook Fluttershy's animals. How nice of him. Back to the training. I saw him shoot fire out of his mouth, which was at the very least surprising, then follow up with a crimson looking dome that pushed everything away from him After that I don't remember I kinda passed out. He laughed at me.
Entry three
Zoroark went and apologized to Applejack today for what happened a few weeks back. He's going to go apologize again after Applejack gets her head out of the ground, I wasn't there to witness the fight itself but from what Fluttershy told me, it was a misunderstanding from Applejack's end.
I got a chance to study Zoroark's illusion abilities and it seems to be a defense ability. Despite how strong they are even pictures are fooled by his power. It seems that when he uses his illusions, he takes control of your senses. He is currently using his illusionary power as a disguise so Applejack doesn't yell at him anymore.
Entry four
Zoroark, at the request of Fluttershy, went with Spike and Rarity to collect some gems for her next line of fashion as some extra protection. Only they came back sooner than expected and with only one fairly large crystal that apparently held Zoroark. It took three days to get him out and he was crying when we finally got him out., apparently what that meant to him was that his old pack either thought he died and destroyed his home or his pack died in the event that sent him to us.
We then tried to question him furthermore about the crystal and why he got sucked into it. It seems that the crystal reacts to his body and only releases him when his "master" calls for him. When he was released by Fluttershy crying for him to come out, it apparently made her his master. Needless to say that the Crystal will be at her house until further notice.
The two mighty dragons clashed. With every blow, as space and time destabilized. The town below them was in flames with purple fire as space and time were warped. People and Pokemon alike cowered in a park as the flames slowly surrounded them.
"This is it we are going to die." a women said as she fell to her knees crying.
"LOOK OUT." Someone yelled as the dragons that controlled time summoned meteors at its rival who ate one or two of them but a majority missed and were coming in fast at the remaining citizens. The Pokemon tried their best to destroy as many as they could but it wasn't enough as the few meteors that did land caused the fire to burn faster.
A figure black as shadows shouted in a deep raspy voice "THIS GARDEN IS EVERYONE'S." the dark figure floew up in between the two dragons as they attacked once more only for the figure to absorb the attacks and used the energy to create a giant black bubble that temporally trapped the two dragons, which slowed the fires rate of progress. Trainers sent out their Pokemon to help try and stop the fire and buy as much time as they could this included a young blond trainer named Lydia.
"Zoroark, Milotic, Braixen, come on out and help out." Lydia said as she called out her friends from their pokeballs. With a flash of white light the three came out ready to help anyway they could."Alright we need to stop this place from falling apart. Darkrai has bought us time so we better use it wisely and try and help as many people as we can understand." The three pokemon nodded and went to help.
Milotic went to work on the fires trying to put them out, Braixen went to help the injured, and Zoroark went to help escort people and Pokemon to safer areas. The black Bubble slowly began to decrease in size and the effects could be felt immediately with a violent shock wave being released that rocked the city knocking everyone down.
Zoroark quickly recovered from the effects and saw a little girl about to be engulfed in the purple fire, He quickly moved to save her before it was too late only for the fire to consume him as he knocked the little girl away, only the fire didn't hurt it wasn't pleasant either sort of a numb sensation like when your foot goes to sleep.As the fire consumed Zoroark he could hear his trainer calling his name along with his friends and that would be the last he would see of his trainer.
"Zoroark it is only a dream you need to calm down." a calm gentle voice said as the world froze and the fires on Zoroark were put out. As he looked around really confused to what was happening and he became really confused when the voice revealed itself as a dark blue alicorn came walking down from a moon that was not there before.
"Whats going on? who are you?"
"I'm princess luna and you my friend are having a nightmare." The alicorn stated as she walked closer to Zoroark who was a little weary about the situation.
"Wait you can understand me even though I'm not using my power?"
"But of course you see I can understand the langue of all who dream so that I may help them in their time of need." Luna explained as she cast a spell to help calm Zoroark down some.
"So why are you here then I made my choice and I paid the price." Zoroark huffed the spell had worked but a spell can only help so much after all.
"I saw what you did and it was very amerable, But that's not why I'm here, well not completely anyway."
"Then why are you here then?"
"I'm here to help you get over your fears my friend." she explained as a light blue bubble encased the two."shall we get started then Zoroark?" The bubble then lifted into the air and they flew over to the giant black bubble that held the dragons."so is this how you ended up here Zoroark?" He simple nodded as they flew into the bubble to get a closer look at the dragons and the creature holding the bubble together. One dragon was blue with no wings and walked on four legs with diamonds along it side going all the way to the tip of the tail, and in the center of a chest peace with what looked like a fin across its hips. The other dragon was pink, bipedal with a set of wings pearls in its shoulders and a long tail with darker pink markings across its underside.
"my word in all my years i have never seen any dragons like these do know anything about them Zoroark." Luna asked while in aww of the size of the dragons
"The blue one is Dialga master of time and the pink one is Palkia ruler of space and dimensions." Zoroark informed Luna.
" Forgive me for having some disbelief but that seems a little ridiculous Zoroark."
"I didn't believe it either at least until the town got sucked into another dimension that is."
"fair enough. Thank you for satisfying my curiosity Zoroark now lets move on to the source of this night."Zoroark nodded as they moved away from the black bubble and headed back to the park where they landed in front of Lydia and Braxien."Are these two your family part of your family because I noticed two more when I was watching."
"Yes they are i just hope i they are alright because not to long ago I was with miss Rarity when I got sucked into a crystal."
"I see is that how those devices work with crystals?"Luna asked Zoroark just nodded as a loud cracking sound appeared."It appears we are out of time my friend but I do hope that we meat again under better circumstances." and with that Luna faded away and Zoroark woke up to a very annoyed draconequs.
"Honey I'm home."A black and white Discord yells as he walks threw the front door. When Fluttershy didn't answer he pulled out a over sized clock to see if he was early, and indeed he was by about half a hour."Hmm well this isn't good maybe I could read some fan fictions those are always good for a laugh." He said as pulled out a scroll and began reading." Oh My life as an Eldritch Horror this should be a good one" Once he started reading however he noticed the faint snoring caught his attention. After some looking around he found the source
"Well, well, well, What do we have here." Discord said while eyeing the strange creature that lay on Fluttershy's couch. No really he made one of his eye's to the size of a watermelon and zoomed in with a magnifier glass. "Hmm interesting this creature's coat seems to be highly resistant to unicorn magic. Now why would such a creature need defense that specific?" Discord poofed in a tea set with some sandwiches witch he ate while he thought and thought and thought and the more he thought the more curious he got.
It was at this point the creature began to awaken from its slumber, with a mighty yawn it wakes up to find Discord who was not in the best of moods do to his thinking. As the creature got it's bearings he noticed Discord and instantly disguised itself as Fluttershy, Discord was stunned to say the least.
After a moment of silence Fakershy spoke "Umm this isn't what it looks like."
"And what is it supposed to look like Fluttershy."Discord said trying to put together what he was looking at along with why this thing needed a unicorn magic resistant coat.
" I'm not Fluttershy she needed to go to town to pick up some carrot for angel bunny." Fakershy said."tho between you and me hes more like a devil then a angel."
"So why are you here and why do you look like Fluttershy." Discord snapped his claw and the room changed to a police interrogation booth complete with doughnuts. Discord was in a officers uniform with a badge that said made in griffonstone.
"My name is Zoroark and I look Like Fluttershy so I can talk with everybody."said Zoroark."It part of my illusion powers so I can hide better clearly i need to work om the hiding part."this seems to satisfy discord for the moment as he got a brilliant idea, with a snap of his fingers everything returned to normal.
"Illusions you say." Discord said then he thought to himself "The ability to create chaos without harming anypony oh I cant pass this opportunity up."With a snap of his paw a collar appeared around Zoroark.
"Whats this?" Zoroark looked at the device around his neck. "Whats going on?"
"Why its all part of the game we're going to play Zoroark was it?"Zoroark nodded."you see im not allowed to spread chaos so with your help i can and not get in trouble."
"And why would I help you?"the answer to this was the collar started tickling Zoroark until he yielded., which invloved him rolling on the floor for about 5 minutes."Okay, Okay i'll help you just make it stop." The collar stopped and Zoroark was able to catch his breath. He then looks over to see Discord hide a over sized controller behind his back.
"I'm glad you can see it my way now run along and go spread some chaos." Discord was not prepared for what happened next tho instead of leaving Zoroark touched a crystal that was on the shelf and disappeared inside of it with a smirk on his face."huh, I did not see that coming."
A few minutes later Fluttershy came home with some tea boxes and some food for her animal friends. She noticed Discord sitting on her couch with some finger foods staring at Zoroarks crystal with thinking cap on.
"Oh, Discord your here early. If i had known you would of come this early I would of had some tea ready." Fluttershy said as she goes to drop off her groceries in the kitchen.
"Oh don't worry about it Fluttershy." Discord then takes a bit of a tiny sandwich." say what manner of creature lives inside that crystal?"
"Oh, that's Zoroark he says he's something called a Pokemon what ever that is."
"huh never heard of a Pokemon before."
"All I know is that he got lost from his pack during a storm is what I believe is what he said."Fluttershy explained.
"Aw, well that doesn't explain why he's in a crystal of his own will I think I like your new friend Fluttershy." AS Discord said that the crystal began to glow white and shortly after Zoroark came out WITH the collar still on him.
"Aww, ask and you shall receive." Discord took a sip of his tea only to spit it out when he saw the in Zoroark's eyes.oh, this won't end well for me.He then sighed as he put the tea down.
"Zoroark why is that collar on you?" Fluttershy asked, and zoroark simple answered by pointing at Discord. After a moment Fluttershy didn't say anything she just looked at Discord with a sad look in her eye, and she just stared making discord feel worse the longer she stared.
"Why are you not chewing me out or yelling or something say something just stop the staring."Discord began to plea as Fluttersy took a deep breath.
"Discord I shouldn't have to say anything to you be cause you should no better by now then to do something like the." she waved a hoof over the collar." Now if you would so kindly take it off of him."With a snap of his talon the collar was off of Zoroark who had a slight smirk on his face because you can't out trick a trickster. After Discord apologized the rest of the tea party went off without issue tho Discor had a new found respect for Fluttershy's new friend.
Zoroark was napping in one of the many apple trees the comprised Sweet apple Acres. His dark fur warmed by the suns rays. it was a nice day, there had been no distraction, no problems, no Discord to trying to manipulate him, all in all, a nice day. Or at least it was till his ears picked up voices talking close by.
"There it is girls. See? I told ya I wasn't lyin!" One said. it sounded like they were trying to whisper, emphasis on trying.
"We didn't say you were lying Applebloom, we said we didn't think it could do all the stuff you said it could." said another. Zoroark, cracked one eye open and saw a small bush underneath his napping branch. said bush had three sets of eyes and three tail in red, purple and one in pink and purple.
"It doesn't look that tough to me." a third voice said. Zoroark huffed slightly. He closed his eyes trying to shut out the banter.
"Does anypony know what it is?"
"I'm not sure, miss Fluttershy might."
"Maybe we could get our cutie marks by figuring out what species it is." Zoroark was just starting to fall asleep, excepting their talking as background noise when his ears were assaulted by loud cheers
"CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS SPECIES IDENTIFIERS! YAY!" Zoroark fell from his branch, landing on the ground with a solid thud. He glared at the bush as he got to his feet, Said bush started to shake and whimper. Zoroark's form was engulfed in a dark aura and with a pop, a scowling Fluttershy was in his place.
"Can't a guy get any peaceful sleep anymore?" He growled at them.
One of them popped their head out of the bush. It was a unicorn filly with white fur and green eyes and the owner of the pink and purple tail.
"But your a mare." She said while looking at the illusioned Zoroark in confusion. Zoroark's eyebrow twitched slightly.
"What your seeing is an illusion, I can make myself look like anyone as long as I've seen them before but I am a male." A seconded head popped out, it was another filly, this one had orange fur and bright purple eyes.
"That's so COOOOOL! your like the ultimate secret agent!" The orange filly jumped out of the bush and started humming some odd tune while she crouched and slowly crawled around the apple tree.
"Like that awesome Spy Pony show Rainbow Dash and I watch all the time, He keeps Equestria safe from the evil plans of Dr. No Mane." She had crawled around the tree, then rolled forward and struck a pose.
"The names Gun, Golden Gun." she said in a strange accent. Zoroark shook his head.
"The only times I use these illusion are to defend myself or to communicate with others." Zoroshy said, then a mischievous grin split his face.
"Or to play a prank on someone." He said. The fillies shivered, they knew it wasn't Fluttershy but seeing her face grin like that was a bit disturbing.
"Is that what ya got your cutie mark for? Pranking ponies?" The third voice said from within the bush. the third one had decided it liked the bush better. That didn't protect the voice from Zoroark's plan. The grin On the illusion Fluttershy grew even wider.
"Especially young ones who interrupt my naps." Zoroark said as his eye flashed white and he disappeared from the fillies sight. The two that were out looked left and right, frantically trying to find him. The third one poked her head out from the bush.
"This ain't good girls... I remember what he did when we first met him, I'd rather not go through that again." The yellow furred and bright red maned filly shivered as she slowly climbed out of the bush. Unknown to them Zoroark was still where he was before, he had just placed an illusion on the filly's to make it seem like they he had disappeared.
The Purple one rolled her eyes and scoffed.
"What are you so worried about Applebloom? What's the worst he could do? Make Sweetie bells cooking taste good?" She said gesturing to the white unicorn to her right.
"Hey!" Sweetie belle exclaimed. Zoroark made note of who was who as he watched their banter and tweaked his plan slightly. Applebloom looked like she'd just seen a ghost.
"It ain't nothing to sneeze at Scootaloo! I thought I was gonna die when it happened to me." A tear fell down Applebloom's cheek as she recalled the memory. Zoroark felt a twinge of guilt seeing her so upset. He had only been trying to defend himself. He sighed in dissapointment at himself, he was probably the only pokemon here, it was a golden opertunity to show that dark types like himself weren't bad. Yet here he was scaring everyone and proving the steriotype right.
With a sigh he dropped the illusion to the gasps of the fillies, cause it seemed like he just appeared there. He started to change to Fluttershy but paused as an idea hit him. most of these ponies were nervous around his natural form and it seemed to cause problems if he took another's like Fluttershy's.
Zoroark made up his mind and concentrated, it's harder to create a new illusion then just to copy something. His body glowed and blurred slightly shifting between different forms as he tried to get it just right. With a statisfying pop, Zoroark finished his illusion.
Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo stared wide eyed at what was now standing in front of them. He was a colt with dark grey fur and a patch of black fur in a v shape on his chest. His mane was a deep crimson with black highlights that stuck out like little spikes. His tail looked similar to a foxes except it was black and transitioned into red as it neared the end.
"I'm sorry I scared you when I first got here, I was nervous, didn't know where my friends and trainer were and was acting on instinct.." His voice was a bit deeper then one would think for his size but it still sounded like a young colt's voice. He scuffed a forehoof against the ground as he waited nervously for their response.
"It still wasn't very nice though." Applebloom said. She was willing to give him another chance but, like her sister, she wanted to make sure the lesson was learned. Zoroark flinched and decided to try something he'd perfected while he was a young Zorua.
"Sorry." She said as sweetly as he could and gave it his best.
The three fillies felt their hearts twinge as their own attack was turned on them. They tried to resist but they could feel their resistance being chipped away.
"Just make sure not to do it again." Applebloom just managed to get out before she was able to break eye contact. Zoroark smiled happily and did a little trot in place dance in happiness.
I still got it. He thought proudly. The girls all had the same thought go through their head.
So that's what that feels like. After they had felt the power of their attack turned on them, they latter on, all agreed not to use their cuteness unless it was a dire circumstance.
Shaking her head to clear it Scootaloo noticed something the other's hadn't.
"Hey! You don't have a cutie mark!" This drew both Applebloom and Sweetie Belle's attention to Zoroark's blank flank. He cocked his head in confusion.
"What's a cutie mark?" They looked at him like he'd grown a third head, making him sweat drop.
"It's a mark that you get when you discover your special talent!" Applebloom said excitedly.
"It appears on your flank showing the world what your good at." Sweetie Belle pointed a hoof at her flank, showing Zoroark where it would be.
"And since you don't have a cutie mark, your just like us!" Scootaloo said, prancing in place with excitement. Zoroark was getting more confused by the second.
"And what are you, besides ponies?" He asked. He got a bad feeling that he shouldn't have said that, as the three looked at each other smiling widely. ... ... ...
"WE'RE THE CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS! YAY!" They yelled in unison, catching Zoroark off guard and sending him rolling backwards into a tree trunk. It was all he could do to keep his illusion from breaking.
"And we're crusading for our Cutie marks." Scootaloo added.
Zoroark managed to get to his hooves.
Sheesh, they could give an Exploud a run for their berries with voices like that. He thought.
"That's... interesting." He said. Sweetie belle eyes suddenly sparkled.
"IDEA!" She yelled, jumped in the air and some how hung their for a few seconds before coming back down.
"Since you don't have a cutie mark, you want to come crusading with us?" the other two smiled widely nodding their heads, then turning their expectant smiles toward Zoroark.
"I...Uh..." He tried to find a way to tell them he didn't want to without being mean but he couldn't think of a way. After a few seconds he gave up with a sigh.
"Sure." He said. the three fillies jumped and cheered.
Why does being nice have to be so hard? Zoroark thought glumly.
"Come on..." Scootaloo paused as a thought crossed her mind.
"We never did learn your name." She said, provoking nods from the other two.
"That's right what is your name anyway?" Sweetiebelle asked.
"I'm called Zoroark." He said. Applebloom's muzzle scrunched up.
"That's to much of a mouthful... I know we'll call ya Zoro for short, that's way easier." She announced happily, Sweetie and Scootaloo agreeing.
"Yeah come on Zoro, We got crusading to do!" Scootaloo yelled as she galloped off the other two following quickly.
"Hey! Wait up!" Zoro yelled giving chase. Every adult in Ponyville felt a shiver of dread crawl down their spines, but they are unaware of what had just been unleashed upon them.
"Now what do you all have to say for yourselves?" Fluttershy asked as she, Applejack, Rainbowdash and Rarity stood in front of three sheepish fillies and one nervous illusioned Zoroark.
"That maybe trying for our demolitions cutie mark in the sewer system wasn't the best idea." Scootaloo said and cast a sideways glance at Diamond Tiara's home. It's would take a long time to get that smell out of the carets.
"and?" Rarity prompted, with Fluttershy giving them a diluted version of the stare. The four shivered slightly under her gaze.
"I shouldn't have tried for my baking cutie mark in sugar cube corner, hope they can get their kitchen fixed soon." Sweetie Belle's ears pinned to her head as a small explosion was heard from the direction of sugar cube corner.
"And the structural damage is minimal." She added with a nervous chuckle.
"And?" Applejack was, disappointment clear as a bell in her voice.
"ah shouldn't have tried to sell Sweetie Belle's cooking with an impromptu bake sale to try and get my salespony cutie mark." Applebloom hung her head sadly. Fluttershy directed her eyes right to Zoroark, sending a shiver of fear through him making his illusion flicker slightly.
"And?" She said, her voice stern. Zoroark gulped,
"To not illusion Sweetie Belle's cooking so Ponies would buy them... and then get sent to the hospital for food poisoning." His ears were pinned to his head and his tail was tucked between his legs. Rarity sighed,
"Your just lucky no pony got seriously hurt." She cast her stern gaze at her little sister who flinched slightly.
"Come Sweetie Belle, We're going home now were I can keep a close eye on you to make sure you don't get into anymore trouble." Rarity said, picking up Sweetie in her magic and walking off. Sweetie Belle waved to her friends as she was carried off.
"You too Applebloom, Granny's got a few choice words for your to go straight from school to home from now on." Applejack said giving Applebloom a slight nudge toward their home.
"Bye guys" she said as she followed her sister.
"While I'm all for you getting your Cutie mark squirt, I don't want you getting hurt doing it..." Rainbow said,
"So you loose your scooter pivilages for a week." Rainbow said. Scootaloo looked like she'd been punched but took it and didn't complain.
"I'll walk ya home scoots." Rainbow said, leading the sad Scootaloo away. the only ones left were Zoroark and Fluttershy. Zoroark couldn't bring himself to speak he was so ashamed. He felt tears start to leak from his eyes and started to sniffle. What surprised him was that he was enveloped in a warm hug.
"Shhh, it's okay, It's okay." Fluttershy cooed as she stroked head with her hoof. Zoroark tried to hide the tears but they stared flowing anyway.
"I-I'm sorry." He said through the sniffles.
"I d-din't m-mean to hurt anyo-one." he said into fluttershy's chest.
"I know you didn't, you just got a little carried away that's all, but now we know not to do that again don't we?' She asked looking down and smiling at him. Zoroark felt his heart leap with happiness at her smile and he nodded his head. Fluttershy giggled lightly,
"Good, now come on, lets go home, it's nearly dinner time." She stood to her hooves and they started walking back to her cottage.
"Who did you copy to become a colt Zoroak?" She asked. He wiped his eyes with a hoof as he answered.
"I didn't, I made this on my own so I wouldn't seem as threatening to other's and didn't have to keep using your image to talk cause it would get really confusing." He explained. Fluttershy Smiled at him making his heart warm.
"You did a good job, and you look so cute." She said, almost with a squee. Zoroark puffed out his cheeks as he pouted.
"I'm not cute! I'm tough." He said. Fluttershy chuckled at his adorable outburst.
"Of course you are." She said. Zoroark went on to try to explain why he was tough, only making his cuteness more evident, much to Fluttershy's enjoyment.
That cry woke up a purple pink unicorn with a equal sign for a cutie mark from her slumber.
"What was that noise?" She asked as a bright pink light appeared in the sky if only for a moment. After rubbing her eyes and taking a moment to process what just happened she gets a big smile on her face. "That must be a sign so I must be on the right track soon all of equestria will know what equality is." she says before going back to bed with a smile on her face.
"Hello everypony I thank you for coming here this morning." Twilight says as she enters the friendship council room.
"Moring sugercube." Applejack noddes.
"Morning Twilight."Says a pink pony with a slightly darker pink mane
"Why do we have to be here so early? I wanna go back to bed." complained a rainbow maned cyan Pegasus.
"Now, now Rainbow I'm sure Twilight has a good reason for calling us here isn't that right Twilight." Fluttershy gives a simple smile at her friends electing a nod from Twilight.
"She's right darling I understand you like you sleep as I do but you simple must have some patients." says a light grey almost white unicorn with a deep purple mane and tail.
"Ah have to agree with Rarity and Fluttershy here Rainbow now why don't you take a seat and wait til Twi comes and explains everything."
"Fine I will but I won't like it ." Rainbow said as she sat down in a seat that had her cutie mark on it as did the rest that where standing. No sooner when the last one sat down did Twilight come in the room caring what looked like a small pile of papers with a smile on her face.
"Thank you all for coming this morning I have some news regarding are fox friend." Twilight informed her friends as she handed each of them a small stack of papers from the pile she brought in.
"Um Twi I'm sure this could of waited until later to tell us." Rainbow said as she let out a yawn. This got a couple of the others to chuckle much to Twilight's expense.
" Actually no it couldn't Luna informed me about a string of nightmares Zoro has been having, and from what she has told me they are memories." Twilight informed rainbow with a slight hint of smugness in her voice.
"Oh my why hasn't he told me about this." asked the buttercup Pegasus." I mean I know he still misses his old pack and all But I thought we where making great strides with his issues." She lookes like shes been stabbed in the back. She honestly thought they where getting closer after He joined Discord and herself for their weekly tea.
"I don't know Fluttershy but what I do know is that what ever magic brought him here its still out of control." This got everyponies attention. Twilight went to sit down in her seat as soon as she did a table sprang out of the ground with a map of all of equis on it.
"What in tarnation is this thing?" Applejack asked rubbing a hoof on her chin as she looked at the map, but before anypony could answer A image of all their cutie marks appeared on the map and started floating over a small town at the edge of the map.
"I don't know but what every it is I think we will get our answers there lets get packed up and ready to leave." Twilight said as the rest all nodded in agreement as it was still early and they had some time to set up places for for the cmc and pets under spikes care.
After the meeting Fluttershy went back to her cottage to pack up and let her animals that she would be gone for a while.
"I'm home everyone." she said as she walked through the door it was a little before noon at this point and she didn't have to be at the train station until two thirty. She received a plethora of happy animal noises when she walked into the kitchen to feed some of the baby animals that had yet to learn how to fend for themselves.
"I can't stay long how ever as I been called away for a very important mission." she got a bunch of sad looks but they knew that Fluttershy was a important mare who had a lot of responsibilities."Have any of you seen Zoro I need to talk to him?" They pointed her to the back yard where she caught a glimpse and a black tornado that suddenly exploded int a bunch of tiny black embers. She insistently ran to see what was happening. When she got there she saw a very Tired Zoroark and scorch marks all over the place. Once she saw the marks she knew what was happening.
"Zoro why do you do this to yourself you don't have to preform anymore." She asked as Zoro used his ability to take on the form of a pony.
"I want to get this last routine down it was the last one my old trainer was teaching me for the contest."He let some tears slip as Fluttershy sighed. she knew couldn't stop him but she could help him but she had to leave and she couldn't take him with her.
"I know and I'm sorry but I just don't like seeing you hurt yourself." Zoroark looked down and sighed."Look I promise you if that if you take a break and rest while I'm gone that when I get back I will take you some where nice." Fluttershy did the motion of a pinkie promise. With the promise made Fluttershy explained that Zoro would be taken care of by spike much to Zoro's annoyance tho he didn't voice it. Fluttershy prepared a list of how much the baby animals would eat and she packed up some over night materials like a tooth brush and pajamas. She said her goodbyes and left for the train station.
Later that night Zoro was asleep in his crystal when he was woken up by someone shaking the crystal.
"Who could have guest that this massive thing was just laying around." a slightly raspy voice said. This drew Zoro's attention.
"I know right still tho we should get out of here before the bear wakes up." a higher pitched voice made its self known. Was he being stolen. Zoro thought.
" Yea you're right lets go." The first voice says. At this point Zoro has had enough and leaves the crystal. The crystal glows brightly catching the thieves off guard." Is the crystal enchanted?" The raspy voiced one asked as Zoro Appears from the crystal.
"What is that thing?" the second voice ask as Zoro opens his eyes so he can get a god look at the thieves. the First one appears to be a dark brown earth pony stalion with a blond mane and tail. The second one looks like a Pegasus mare with a grey coat and light blue mane and tail. It's to dark to see there cutie marks.
Zoro then uses his powers to look like a particularly mean Pokemon that he remembers a rough encounter with. In a flash of purple light he looks like a giant snake made out of rocks and a horn on his head. The sight of this alone makes the ponies run away leaving the Crystal behind to save there hides.
With a smile on his face as he drops his illusion. he is almost immediately tackled to the ground by a small orange bullet.
"THAT WAS AWESOME." The bullet says and Zoro recognizes his attacker as Scootaloo."You where all like RAWR and they where all like don't hurt me. IT WAS SO COOL." Scootaloo says while her wings are buzzing in excitement. Zoro then picks up the excited filly and puts her on the ground so he can get in his speaking form.
"Why are you here so late Scoots?" Zoro asked receiving a slight bit of hesitation from the filly. "Well?" he says raising a eye brow.
"I was wondering if you could tell me more about your world? and I was missing my mother. " Scootaloo says tho Zoro didn't catch that last bit.
"Why can't this wait until the morning?" He asked only to receive a baby doll eyes attack combined with fake tears the mere sight almost causes him to hug her on the spot. Luckily his Contest background helps him resist the onslaught if only until she gives her answer.
"Because I really want to know maybe I can get my cutie mark at something from your world."With a sigh and some reluctance Zoroark lets scoots inside. Placing the crystal back on the shelf Zoroark while Scootaloo sits on the couch. " What did you wanna ask me?"
"What did you do before you ended up here?"Scootaloo asked.
"I was a preformer of sorts." Zoro explained.
"Did you do did you sing, dance or what?"
"I did tricks with my trainer." This caught Scootaloo's attention.
"What sort of tricks did you do?"
"A lot of them from simple dances to the more difficult move combinations." Zoro wen on to describe some of the contest he won all while Scootaloo's wings buzzed with excitement with all of the possibilities that might open up to her and her friends." Of course I'm retired now not by choice mind you but can't have pokemon contest with only one pokemon." Zoro rapped up.
"Yea that does make sense I guess." But then she got a brilliant idea." What if we found more pokemon then could we do all those things like in the story." She said with renewed excitement.
"You could but one problem as Far as I have seen I'm the only pokemon here and only the creators could bring more here but two of them are fighting and one is banished and the last one is asleep."
"The creators?"
"Yea they Created my world their is Palkia master of space and Dimensions, Dialga master of time, Giratina the renagade and Arceus the alpha pokemon."Before Zoro could continue Scootaloo went to the little fillies room. As Scootaloo finished up she went to wash her hooves when she saw a big red eye in the mirror naturally she screamed and Zoro bolted to see what was wrong. When he saw the eye he Froze as the eye faded.
"What was that?" Scootaloo asked clinging tight to Zoroark. Who was just as frightened at the sight.
"I t-th-think that was Giratina." Zoroark only haveing old legends to go off of wasn't too sure that wasn't something from Equastria." I think that its time to go to bed." Scootaloo couldn't agree more That night Scootaloo slept in Zoroark's mane. Despite what happened it was one of the better night's She had.
The next morning Scootaloo and Zoroark where just finishing up a big breakfast before they went on their pokemon expedition to find there own pokemon. That was the plan at least But with Zoroark being the only pokemon he seen so far. Baring the bathroom incident they would be on a wild swanna chase.
"Come on Hurry up Zoro." Scootaloo was bouncing around the place.
"Calm down will you They wont be going anywhere. Mostly cause they aren't here."Zoroark mutter that last bit so Scoots wouldn't hear him. Shortly after they head into town to pick up the other two crusaders to try and get there pokemon cutie marks. Their first stop would be the Castle of friendship to pick up sweetie belle. Sweetie belle did beg for her to stay with spike while Rarity was away.
"Sweetie belle you here!"Scootaloo shouts as they enter the castle. After about a minute of walking and shouting They find Sweetie belle helping Spike clean up there breakfast.
"Oh hey Scoots, Zoro whats up?" Spike says as he puts a freshly washed plate in the strainer to dry.
"We been calling though out the castle didn't you hear us?" Scoots says as Zoro yawns as it is still pretty early in the morning.
"Oh that's what that noise was we thought there was a mouse in the vents." Spike teased."Oh who are you? Did you just move here?"Spike points his mixing spoon at Zoro.
"You could say that."He Drops his illusion. That catches spike off guard but he quickly recovers.
"Aww okay so you made your own disguise then? I like it."That gets a Smile from the pokemon. Soon after the group leaves spike to do his thing. What ever his thing was when he was alone.
They soon made it too Sweet Apple Acres Some of the trees still bare the claw marks from when Zoroark first arrived. Applejack still doesn't like him all to much after that and Big Mac isn't much of a fan either. So He stays at the entrance while Scootaloo and Sweetie belle go get Applebloom. It doesn't take long before the fillies come back and they head to the white tail woods to start their search for pokemon.
Meanwhile in the distortion world A couple of fillies are running from a giant ghostly serpent like dragon.
"What is that Thing." One of them says as the Dragon screeches.
"I Don't know just keep running." the other one yells as The dragon unleashes a vortex from its mouth that opens a portal in front of the fillies Sending them Though. They both scream for their mother's as they appear in a lake the portal closing behind them. Where they swim to the shore.
"Huh? Starlight is that you?"
"Yeah. Where are we Sugar?"
"I have no idea."
"What a minute isn't that your mom, Scootaloo and Apple Bloom?" -
"It is. Maybe she knows where we are."
"Come on then. Let's go ask then!"
The cmc and Zoro where taking a break from there search for pokemon. It had been several hours of non-stop searching so they decide to stop for some rest at a near by lake.
"Man this is gonna be harder then I thought." Scootaloo said as she took a drink from the lake.
"I did try and warn you that I was the only one here." Zoro explained and before they could continue there conversation they where interrupted by two fillies one was black as night with light blue mane and tail. The other one was a brown with a white mane and tail.
" who are you?" Sweetie belle asked. That seemed to catch the fillies off gaurd for a moment.
"What do you mean who am I? I'm Sugar Belle your daughter. Are you feeling okay?" The brown Filly now known as Sugar Belle said. But was met with looks of confusion with a slight hint that they might be crazy.
Stunned at the Fillies words the Group look at each other for a moment before Sweetie belle answers.
" I'm to young to be a mom I'm like twenty."The other two fillies began to look worried.
"Yea she does look a little like ya."Applebloom pointed out reviving nodes of agreement from the group."Maybe she's your cousin or somethin."
"Cousin?" the Brown filly asks with a confused tilt of her head.
"Come on Auntie Sweetie and Auntie Bloom. I don't like jokes like this, you know I don't." the Black one says with a pout.
Sugar Belle looks at Sweetie Belle with a look on contemplation. the thoughts that are going thought Sugar belle's head range from What is going on here and I hope Mom remember's me, Too I hope they have my favorite desert.. Zoro is also thinking at this point their is only one question on his mind tho. What if Palkia and Dialga did this or maybe was Giratina responseable.
Umm, I think you are confusing us for somepony else." Scootaloo said taking a step closer to Zoro.
"Yea we don't even know who you are." Sweetie belle confirms.
"I already said I don't like these jokes. Why do you keep saying them?" Starlight says with a sniffle.
Sugar Belle takes a second to look at Sweetie Belle.
"Something's not right Starlight"The brown filly says to the black one. "Mom. I have one question for you. One that will help me figure something out. Who's Adrian?" She asks with a serious tone of voice. The Cmc take a group huddle to see if any of them knew the answer. After about thirty seconds they give there answer.
"We don't know who that is. Why should we know?" Sweetie says while shrugging her shoulders.
"Just as I thought." The brown filly then goes on to say. "You looked a bit too young to be honest."
"What does it mean Suggie? The black filly now known as starlight says.
"Well.... We've either been sent back in time or worst case scenario, we're in a different dimension. I remember Auntie Twi saying something about different dimentions existing.... But I didn't think we'd end up in one." Sugar Belle explains.
"Wait. Another Dimension? That means Mom's here! I wonder where she is." Starlight thought as she rubbed her chin with her hoof.
"Yep. Somewhere in this place Auntie Luna's probably sleeping since it's daytime." Sugar Belle says with a look of hope.
Zoro finally decides to make his voice heard. "If i may ask what happened before you saw us?"
"Yea if your'e from the future or somthin." says the red maned filly
" A large group of us where stood in the living room of our house when the windows started being to glow white, everyone was scared and backed away from the windows. Me being the curious pony I am decided to take a closer look, Sweetie Belle tried her hardest to stop me from going near the windows but I just felt so drawn to them. A few seconds later Starlight followed me. Luna was so paniced that she tried to use her magic to pull Starlight away.... But instead of pulling her away.... When she grabbed Starlight a small magical explosion happened, sending both of us through the windows. Turns out that the windows turned into portals." Sugar Belle explains.
"Interesting." Zoro says while the cmc are sitting down eating some popcorn that Pinkie handed to them some how.
"I miss everyone Suggie. Where's Adrian?" Starlight asks with a sad look on her face.
"It looks like it's just you and me Li. (Lie)" Sugar Belle says as she brings Starlight into a hug.
"I... I don't want to be here Suggie. I wan't to see everyone again." Starlight sniffles. Sugar Belle gently pats Starlight on the back.
"It looks like no one has followed us through. I'm guessing that the portals closed as soon as we went through. I hope we can get back at some point." Sugar Belle sighs.
The cmc and Zoro share a look before Zoroark speaks."I'm sorry about what happened to you but their is nothing we can do to send you home if there was I would be with my trainer in Alamos town right now."
"Trainer? I didn't know that ponies had trainers. Well.... Ones that can talk anyway." Sugar Belle questions.
"So.... There's no way to get back?" Starlight asks with a sniffle.
"It doesn't sound like it Li. It looks like we're here to stay." Sugar Belle mumbles as a tear starts to form in her eyes.
"Oh I'm not a Pony I'm just helping to watch theses guys until There families get back from some mission." Zoroark explained as he dropped his disguise and the looks on the little fillies faces go from sad to confused to happy.
"Wow! You're a Zoroark! I remember something about Auntie Luna talking about a large black and red fox. Something about Pokemon or something. I can't remember much but you look like one." Sugar Belle asks as she wiped the tears from her eyes. Now its the cmc's turn to be confused.
"Ah'm surprised that you heard about him." Applebloom says.
"Yea no pony heard about Pokemon until Zoro shown up." Scootaloo says as she jumps into Zoroark's mane. When Scoot's pokes her head out and see's the looks on her friends face's " What? its comfy up here." Everyone lets out a small giggle.
"They're popular where we're from. I don't know much about them but from what I've heard your where one of Auntie Luna's favorite. I remember something about a ball and an owner something like that. Does that remind you of anything Zoroark?" Sugar Belle asks.
Zoro then reapplies his illusion "A pokeball yea but mine probably got destroyed when I was sent here tho I currently live in a Crystal now over at Fluttershy's place." He explained. "Why does it matter?
"I was just interested. Like I said I don't remember hearing anything about a crystal but I do remember something about a ball." Sugar Belle explains as she lets go of Starlight. Starlight then wipes her face and sniffles.
What can you guys tell us about this place?" Starlight asks once she recover's some more.
"Well there's Sweet apple acres, The castle of Friendship, Sugarcube corner, the school house."Zoro replies as Scootaloo gets off his back. "But I also practice my old Contest routine
"But ah Wouldn't get on his bad side If it wasn't for twilight ah would be in the loony bin." Applebloom said as she shivered at the memory.
"Yea I remember when he trapped the whole town in some sort of black ice." Sweetie belle continued.
"And then there was last night when he scared off a couple of robber's who where stealing." Scootaloo wrapped up.
"School? I remember being taught about one of those. I never got to go to one due to.... certain circumstances. Which is a shame to be honest. There was knowledge on other creatures that could've been useful." Sugar Belle says with a pout.
"Why did you bring up School Zoroark I thought we where cool." Scootaloo groaned with her face in her hooves.
"Because that's payback for last night."Zoroark replied with a smirk on his face. Which causes Scoot's to groan louder
"What school isn't that bad Scoots."Sweetie tries to cheer up her friend.
"School is incredibly useful Scootaloo. The knowledge you can get from it can help stop you from getting into a situation where understaning anything can be veeeeery bad. I don't know much about this place so I can't compare what useful things I've learnt to what is on this world. But the knowledge of dimensions and time travel helped me have an idea what had happened." Sugar Belle pointed out.
"I wonder how mom's doing." Starlight mumbles.
"She'll be fine Starlight. Sad, worried and confused. But she'll be fine, she has everyone there to help her." Sugar Belle says as she pats Starlight on the head.
Starlight smiles at Sugar Belle and pets her back.
"This is weird.... Double petting is an odd thing to have been involved in...." Starlight says with a giggle.
"Where did you learn that stuff at?" Applebloom asked while rubin her chin.
"That is a good question where did you learn that." says Sweetie while Zoroark tries to pry Scootaloo out of her hooves to some success .
"Well. I say dimensions, it's more of a multi-universe or 'multiverse'. This is a universe, where we came from is a different universe and Zoroark came from another universe. It could take an hour to explain it and even then nobody knows everything about it." Sugar Belle explains.
"Nerd." Starlight mumbles with a giggle. Sugar Belle just rolls her eyes.
"My head hurts."Scootaloo stated as she rubbed her temples.
"Lets just get going I need to Drop the cmc off so I can figure out where you two are gonna stay until the other's get back." Zoro then starts walking away followed shortly and reluctantly by the cmc and the fillies. If anypony where to look at them at the moment you would think Zoro was either a good foal sitter or a great teacher.
"Okay. Maybe we'll meet some of the others here. Just.... Younger...." Sugar Belle says with a smile.
"It's gonna be weird if we run into Fluttershy and not seing her surrounded by fillies." Starlight points out.
"Your right. It's gonna be weird seeing any of them without their fillies." Sugar Belle says as she rubs her chin in thought.
"You won't be seeing those guys for a while they left for a mission to the edge of equestria." He explained as they kept walking.
"Well, we'll just have to meet them when they get back. It'll be nice to see them again even if they don't know us." Sugar Belle says with an excited smile.
"Is Mom urm Luna anywhere nearby?" Starlight asks with a hopeful twinkle in her eye.
"Princess Luna is in canterlot per my understanding." Sweetie belle says as she jumps over a pot hole.
"She is nice she helped me realize its okay to be afraid." Scootaloo admitted. "Yeah, mom is great like that." Starlight says with a smile.
"I Think she is doing the same I haven't met her in person." Zoro explained As the make it too a massive crystal castle." Okay Sweetie bell Scoots, Applebloom this is your stop. Spike will over see things from here." Sweetie belle barley hide her blush as they went in the Castle." Now you two come with me." He started walking again.
"What was that place? It looks very pretty." Sugar Belle asks.
"Its the friendship castle that's where Twilight stays." Zoroark explains.
"She never told us about a friendship castle.... It must've been awkward to build, it being made of crystals and all." Sugar Belle says with a hint of intrigue.
"I like the crystals. They look very pretty. I wouldn't mind having a necklace with some in it!" Starlight says with a twinkle in her eye.
Zoro chuckles a little before he speaks. "I don't know the hole story behind it but apparently it just grew from the ground after a magical explosion or something like that."
"That's weird that it just grew from the ground." Starlight says a bit confused. After about of minute of walking in silence Zoroark speaks up again.
"We are going to Fluttershy's house for the time being tho I must warn you she has a lot of animals."
"Have you been to Fluttershy's house?" Sugar Belle asks.
"I have been considering that she is my new trainer." The fillies eyes went wide.
"So what does a trainer do exactly?" Starlight asks.
depends really. Some train to win battles some train to help other's my old trainer was a pokemon coordinator."Zoro explained.
"What's one of those?" Sugar Belle asks.
"I don't really wanna explain it again that would be like the 20th time I had to explain it Ask twilight when she gets back."He let out a huff of anger." No more questions you will just have to hold on to them as I don't know all that much." He really didn't know all that much as he rarely participated in contest himself. His pack members where more eager then he was about the idea, but he still did participate in a couple he won them both.
"You know I never got your names. "Zoro said before finishing it with."Or I did and I just missed it."
"My names Sugar Belle." Sugar Belle says with a wave.
"I'm Starlight!" Starlight says excitedly.
"Nice to meet you my nickname is Zoro."He says with a light smile."While you are at my place you are too behave your selves other wise the rabbit will get you."He gave a light chuckle.
"Rabbit? I remember that Fluttershy said something about a Rabbit. Angle or Angel. Something like that." Sugar Belle murmurs as she tries to remember about the rabbit.
"Angel Bunny. Sounds like a nice little Rabbit." Starlight says with a smile.
"Oh, yea Nicest bunny around."Zoro can barley say that with a straight face as he remembers the time Angel tried to try and pull a prank on Zoro only for him to use his illusion ability to trick the rabbit that he pranked Fluttershy by mistake. Oh If he had a camera at the time.
"Ah. Should he be called Devil Bunny?" Sugar Belle asks with a smirk.
"Naa he is a good bunny just spoiled rotten." As soon as he finishes he is it in the face by a half eaten carrot thrown by said bunny. They had been talking so long that Zoro didn't noticed they had arrived and Angel over heard their conversation.
"Ah. I think I see what you mean." Sugar Belle awkwardly chuckles.
"Make your selves at home while I see that Angle wants"
Okay. Thanks." Sugar Belle says as her and Starlight go to explore the house. The rest of the days pretty smooth all things considered. Rarity would probably let Sugar belle stay with her while Starlight would more then likely stay either at the castle or move to cantorlot.
Shortly after leaving Ponyville our heroes are talking about various topics from parties to the wonderbolts to what they might face when there arrive at there destination but mostly about what Twilight wanted to talk about at the castle.
"So Twilight darling what did you wanna tell us back at the castle?" asked Rarity as she flipped her mane out of her face.
"Huh...Oh right sorry i guess i got a bit caught up with the map and getting ready so fast I guess it just slipped my mind." Twilight said sheepishly."But as I was saying back at the castle Luna was been helping Zoro with some nightmares that he has been having. Apparently they are memories."
"Um, Twi not ta sound rude or anythang but how bad could memories be that princess Luna would send a letter." Applejack asked receiving nodes of agreement from the other.
"I was getting to that because it's what the memories contain that worries her." Purple smart put on a small smile while she let the information sink in.
"Oh my". squeaked Fluttershy
"I don't get it." said pinkie
"Allow me to elaborate. Where Zoro mes from it looks like dragons have all of the power there controlling time, space and even there version of tarterus it look like the two that control time and space where fighting for some reason and as a result Zoro ended up here."
"Well that certainly is bad but why are you bringing this up Twilight?" Rainbow dash asked.
"Because if those two are still fighting then they could very well end up here and Celestia knows what would happen then." Twlight finishes taking a breath she didn't know she was holding.
"Okay yea that is pretty bad darling, but we have Discord so we should be alright....right?" Rarity said as everyone looked to purple smart for a answer.
"I don't know guys Discord is powerful don't get me wrong but he may not be enough in this case." Everypony cast a worried glance at one another. The mood was so THHICC that you could cut it with a butter knife and use it for toast. In fact Discord did do that and offed Pinkie some.
"Oh thank you Dissy."said the cotton candy mare as she took a bite. "A little bitter but not bad."
"Your welcome pinkie." Said the glorious voice of John delancy. A moment later everypony was surprised to see Discord there.
"Discord why are you here?" asked the buttercup pegasus
"Well it just so happens my ears were burning and I couldn't help but over hear about what might happen." His ears where in deed smoking but he continued with. "So I thought I could take a look and see if those dragons are going to be a problem."
" That's very nice of you Discord." Fluttershy said with a gentle smile.
"Why thank you my dear shy I should have a report ready for you in the next story in the series Purple Smart."
"Aww why do they have to wait dissy." said one bubble gum pink mare.
"Because the author want's to do something else for a while and he doesn't want to put the story on hiatus." And with that discord poofed away leave rainbow dash laughing and Twilight's new nickname for the foreseeable future.
