The long explanation:
Up until last week, I thought I'd make the deadline, but it didn't happen. A combination of Christmas and non Final Solution writing (completing the first draft on my other pony novel project) slowed me down, so I didn't get really into the chapter until two weeks ago. So, rather than release something in a rush, I decided to skip a month (also lets me get ahead; my current writing is influenced by future chapters).

I plan to be putting myself through the RSI-inducing hell that is NaPoWriMo, so there will be a bit of a blip in Wasp’s posting schedule. NaPoWriMo is being run over the month of September, and involves trying to write 50K words over the 30 days, so just shy of 1700 a day. At my average rate of ~500/hour, that’s 3-4hours a day, which would be easy if it wasn’t for the fact I have to work for a living.

Sorry folks, try as I might, the next chapter isn't ready for posting. It kills me to do this, but I’d rather delay for a day or three than upload something that I’m not happy with.

You can blame Simon the Destroyer, Pacific Rim, and the author spending too much time writing new stuff rather than editing.

I'm probably the only one actually interested in this, but...

I have conducted a bit of low level research over the course of writing this fic (I can't help it, and I hope no one is offended).

1) How many readers use EqD's story update posts as a method to track Wasp?
I deliberately didn't send update emails to EqD for chapters 15-18, and tracked the read numbers.
The result: read numbers were flat at 450-500, vs. the previous months at 700-800.

I do all my writing offline, so when update time comes around I used to spend an evening tracking down and inserting all the BB code tags for all the italics I use (never tried the importation thing; if I did I just know I'd have to check every tag anyway). Not anymore!
