TL;DR: next chapter(s) will be posted mid October.
I plan to be putting myself through the RSI-inducing hell that is NaPoWriMo, so there will be a bit of a blip in Wasp’s posting schedule. NaPoWriMo is being run over the month of September, and involves trying to write 50K words over the 30 days, so just shy of 1700 a day. At my average rate of ~500/hour, that’s 3-4hours a day, which would be easy if it wasn’t for the fact I have to work for a living.
Thus you’re getting two chapters now, and two more on or about the 16th of October (there’s no way I’ll be able to do anything on the 1st, if last year’s event is anything to go by).
What will come out of this? Hopefully I’ll be able to finish one of my side projects and end up with another SF adventure for you all to (again, hopefully) enjoy.

2 chapters, heh, I wonder if I will be able to hold myself and read only one now, and the second next month.
More SF is always good, especially written by you, as you don't follow old, overused ideas and write innovative stories - a shame you don't have a bigger audience (or better, how would you answer hundreds of comments if you had?).

I never have the self control for that; it's always 'just one more chapter', right up until it becomes 'might as well finish it'.
The other story already has a chunk written (last year's NaPoWriMo), and is set in the show's future, if much of S2/3 didn't happen (because of when it was first planned out). The current title is 'The Last Days of Discord', with a Discord who's more like the one depicted in Canterlot's windows (a manipulator), rather than the 'evil clown' the show plays him as.
Answering comments take a surprising amount of time, but it's always worth it. I find it very sad to see popular stories where the author hasn't replied once (I mean, why would you do that?).
Oh well, too bad I steamrolled through both chapters next day they came out heh. Will be waiting for the new project as well,
