So lately I've been reading some really, really awful Harry Potter fanfiction.

What the hell do these people have against Ron Weasley? Seriously, some of these fanfic authors seem to really hate him.

So my camping trip went very well. I grew a beard. I'll probably shave it soon, as school starts next week, and I got a big load there. Now, a word on my various stories. Some good news, some not-so-good news.

Chapter 30 of The Book of Friendship is finished, so I plan to publish that sometime next week. I've also started on chapter 31.

Heyo. This last week hasn't been... one for writing, due to some stuff with a friend in need of emotional support. Chapter 30 of The Book of Friendship will be up as soon as my editors get to it. In the meantime, a heads-up that I'll be going on a camping trip starting this weekend.

I'm hoping to get back on the writing bus. I've been working on a one-shot that I plan to submit to the some pre-readers/editors in the near future, which should be fun.

So, for the first time in over a year, it didn't take me two months to get a chapter of The Book of Friendship written! It's been sent off to my editors and hopefully it'll be ready before too long.

Also, I've found myself sucked into Civilization V...

So, last week I posted chapter 29 of The Book of Friendship, starting on part 3.

That was a difficult chapter to write, for a number of reasons. I actually had to make a lot of changes in response to editor criticism. Believe it or not, the original draft was even more mopey than the version that went up, and had a lot less of Brother White in it. In general, some scenes were trimmed, some were removed, and some were revamped to lighten the tone.

So, today I will be posting chapter 29 of The Book of Friendship. Today is also the day of the steam sales, which means that I will probably be spending the next few days playing Bioshock Infinite until my next music gig starts.

Anyway, here's hoping the chapter is good. It was pretty tricky to write, but I think I just need to give it a few minor adjustments and it'll be up later today!

It is amazing how much I suck.

I was hoping to have The Book of Friendship updated this week, though the chapter as is simply isn't good enough. I'm going to need to make major revisions in order to get a workable chapter.

This week's been a slow one, writing-wise. I started a Gilbert & Sullivan workshop which takes up a good chunk of the day, plus I had to help around the house a lot to get ready for a fourth of July party.
