The week started with Mom having shortness of breath and chest pains at church. According to her doctor, if she keeps eating the way she does and not exercising, she will, bluntly, die. I'm partially responsible, since I keep buying fast food and bringing unhealthy baked goods and candy from work.

Sitting here staring at a story that should have taken me about a week to do, five months later.

The ending's finished. The beginning and middle as well, more or less.

I've got less than a thousand words to go, maybe even only a hundred.

I know what I want to say, but every time I start I find something else to do.

A hundred words have been keeping me from finishing this story for months.
