Eyes: Hey! Hey! Dude!
Me: "What is it?"
Eyes: You know how you've been working on those stories where Noteworthy/Blues is a calm, collected guy without much emotional expression for like two years now?
Me: "As befits an ascended background character. What of it?"
Eyes: Well, looking at the S2 episodes, it seems like he's pretty emotional after all.
Me: "Meh. I can explain that away. He's learned to smile politely around others so as not to freak them out, and had a school full of music students when Cerberus came to town. That'd make anyone panic. Simple."
Eyes: In this latest one he's definitely pissed off about all the Pinkies—and you know how you gave him a mildly antagonistic relationship with Carrot Top? He's giving her a big, wide smile!
Me: "..."
Eyes: Think maybe you ought to start over again? Change his characterization some? Maybe use a different backgrounder or something?
Me: "I think I ought to spend a few hours looking into the sun."
Eyes: On the other hand, maybe I didn't see anything.
