As much as I enjoyed the music, it really was a lift in quality (plus Celestia singing!) the whole episode seemed like what is termed an "ass pull" from the start. Really, the episode hinges on Twilight making an elementary mistake in magic - reading a half-finished spell aloud. Seriously, that is a fairly standard magical rule - you never read a spell that is half written out loud or that you don't know the effects of. Star Swirls spell fits both those categories. Since my first chapter is doing so well (now just under 10K words after editing) I can confirm I have the full plots of the next two chapters done!
Chapter two is to be called "Eat my Dust! Or, I get an odd customer." Chapter three is to be called "I am reminded of the health benefits of milk."

I'm currently writing my first HiE story to feature human and pony physical intimacy.
It's based on the on the wonderful "Gentlemen for Mares" stories by Demon Eyes Laharl.
I envision this particular story like a siege. There's a wall made of things like the weather, writers block and lack of energy.

So, this Wednesday I saw Skyfall at a lovely cinema in town. It's called Lido and it is very posh, with plush carpets, fine furniture and they play smooth jazz. And I loved the film! One of the best ever, I think. I particularly liked this Tennyson quote .
