Well, after a minor premature publishing of my debut shot at writing a clop-fic; I must now consider what to do next. I think I'd like to try a sad, romantic story (with a happy ending of course (even if I tried, I don't think I could write a story that had a tragic ending. My conscience would torture me.). I have an idea for an Appledash one, but I'm always afraid it's a theme so thoroughly used, it'd be clique now.

Blerg! I've been laid out all week with a rather impressive flu/cold type of thing. Some kind of unholy sickness chimera that has left me clinging to life by my very fingernails, and longing for the sweet sweet release of death. Or decongestants. Whichever is easier to get over the counter.

Yay! It took a bit longer than I expected, but I finally got another story submitted and approved. It's another short Derpy/Dinky one that ... to be honest, did not go exactly how I planned. I was aiming for straight up slap-stick goofiness, and about two paragraphs in Derpy decided she had other plans. Parts of it came out a bit darker than I'd intended, but I hope it's still a fun and enjoyable ride.

I also hope Derpy never gets behind me on the highway ...

Right! New stories done and I've got a proofreader/editor (thanks Starfall!). Unfortunately, looks like there won't be time for him to read it before the weekend. I wonder if I'll be able to see the edits in real time? If not, that's all right. I won't fret, or panic, or sit huddled under my desk rocking back and forth in paranoid self doubt and fear. I shall not! Seriously, there are dust bunnies down there that even Fluttershy couldn't tame.

Ok, finally done! Story got a bit away from me I think ... but that happens. Now for the fun part! Editing this thing over and over, getting someone else to proof it; searching for a good cover art and begging the artist to give me permission to use it.

Oh, and I suppose I should look into sleeping at some point, but that doesn't seem terribly productive somehow.

I've been weebling back and forth all day on whether I should try to write another short fic to build up a body of work, or put more time and effort into the longer story I've been working on instead. Maybe I'll flip a bit and decide that way!

I admit I'm a little shocked that the story I posted has been getting favourited and even commented on so quickly. I really didn't expect it to even be noticed among all the other great fics here. I was so incredibly nervous about posting a story at all, that I nearly talked myself out of it a dozen times. So, a huge thank you to everyone who read my story!
