Twilight Sparkle and her friends only intended to take a weekend trip to Hawaii. They never imagined that their weekend of fun would turn into thirteen long years of drama and tension.

Journey Island was never a popular tourist destination. Sapient storms protected the place from visitors, but the storms never really seemed to do their job. Everypony ended up dead or shipwrecked on the island.

No one ever escaped, either.
