Since the dawn of time, ponies have asked countless questions about their surroundings and their lives in order to obtain the answers they seek. Twilight Sparkle, a studious young mare, has asked many a question during her life, and has received answers quite easily. When she finds one question that she cannot answer, however, she goes berserk. Of all her friends, of all the ponies in Equestria even, she ought to know how to answer this simple question….

…Or is the question really that simple?

This story follows canon up to the end of the second season. Rated teen for some humor.

We don't know much about Owlowiscious. That's most likely a bad thing, because he has a pretty epic life that we don't get the privilege of seeing. So, right from the owl's beak, hear his chilling tale of battle and dancing field mice.
