An emotionally devastated and homeless Sunset seeks shelter in one of the most scariest and most avoided areas in Canterlot during a winter storm, Hillhurst Manor on the edge of the Everfree Forest. At least all of those stories of monsters are just because humans fear the dark and avoid what they don’t understand, right? Maybe not, and now because of a careless wish made during distress, Sunset is stuck having to return creatures from a comic series back to the pages they spawned from before the wish can be broken. At least she will have allies, even if they were the least expected as well as becoming part of a very unconventional family.

A past Sunset doesn't remember comes searching for her, a past that may or may not be hers. With feelings that something bigger is going on, can she sort things out or will she drown in her problems with this piled on top of them.

Warnings: Very small bit of Anon-A-Miss as I needed Sunset to be a little isolated though it will be resolved in the first chapter though the aftermath may spill over for a chapter or two. Anon-A-Miss won't be the focus of the story, the focus will be her possible past coming to find her. The violence tag isn't there because of Anon-A-Miss, but there will be fights.

The Battle of the Bands was a hard won battle for the Rainbooms, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer. Yet as the school celebrates their victory, Sunset Shimmer can't help feeling more alone as ever and decides that maybe her past is not today, but neither is today her tomorrow.

After feeling alone and unwanted, as well as justifiably angry, Sunset makes a deal with a seemingly kind older man. He just might not be as innocent as he lets on. (Not the Sunset Shimmer demon everyone knows from the first movie.)

NOTE: While the beginning does deal with the aftermath and consequences of Anon-A-Miss, the story isn't about Anon-A-Miss. It's about Sunset and her dealing with her new circumstances.
